I discovered these recordings just 2 weeks ago and they are such a joy and make me nostalgic for a time and a generation that I wasn't even yet born! Thank you so much for the good old fashioned scares & for providing us so many great stories to listen to & such amazing artwork to go with them, Chilly!! Love your channel ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😍🥰

It is like radio version of Rod Serling's NIGHT GALLERY back in the 70s!

The illustrations are fantastic out of this world, each one better than the one before it. If I had to CHOOSE the best one, I couldn't.

They're all very good, but the best is "The Imposter", 621

Some people don't deserve a good spouse. This woman is vain and selfish.

This is the repeat episode in January 1976, given the Detroit weather report at the very end. WWJ - Detroit. And I love that sound effect right before the news.

John Karavitis places like Detroit were in their heyday in ,1976.

I'm not sure how comprehensive those posted air-dates are. An earlier episode had a news story with information about the Iran-Contra hearings but there was no broadcast listed from the 80's. A news story from the previous episode (326) cited a Thanksgiving Day victory for the Detroit Lions and there was no broadcast listed from November.

Great story and acting. Another story highlighting the notion that one should be very careful what one asks for and stay far away from any deals with the devil! For, you will lose every time! Enjoyed 5/7/2022.

I noticed that the maid is named Elspeth... wondering if Ian Martin named her after Elspeth Eric, fellow writer

Compact discs in 1975? That was for the Bicentennial, I'm confused.

Exactly! Compact discs in 1975? This can't be the original airing.

@@PaulLaue I just checked and lazer discs came out in December 1978 for commercial use, so it's conceivable that radio and tv stations tried them out a few years earlier.
I remember drooling over them in a computer store in the early 80s, they were so beautiful!

Ah yes, the LaserDisc format... what a classic! Good thinking! I drooled over them also (and did eventually manage to procure one, although now it sits in my electronics "boneyard", and I still have a bunch of LaserDiscs).
I doubt though, that the commercial was talking about LaserDiscs because that was an audio+video format, and they're trying to sell music (audio only). They mention other audio only formats (records & cassette), and then mention "compact disc" by name (but no mention of LaserDisc). All this suggests to me that this RUclips video must have been recorded from a rebroadcast some time after 1982, when compact discs were released. Perhaps Chilly can clarify?
Great episode, though! CBSRMT is awesome.
