Melanie, they made almost 1,400 episodes from 1974 through 1982 and rebroadcast many episodes during their popular run. I love these as well, often getting one or two in per day.
I heard this about a year ago and it's a great story and I'm always amazed at how many great stories CBSRMT finds and puts out for our listening!! Also Chilly u r the man no I lie ur the Main Man!!!!! As an edit Acapulco was once such a fantastic holiday destination and may still be but because of the cartels no one goes there cuz of the danger there which is so sad really and when I say no one goes there I mean no one which must be awful for the hoteliers and all the rest of that industry which caters for us holiday makers!!!!
I love it .... 53 years old if I never watch t.v. again it wouldn't phase me at all...... Ok 👌 I'm going back to when life was simple and straight forward....you bring us there look forward to next journey .. thank you so much ....
In playing hundreds of these in the past few years, this sounded familiar (not from the 70s though) but had to listen again. Wondering like all of us, could he still be alive? Not many give and receive this kind of love today, society has beaten it out of people’s hearts. They finally found each other. 5/7/2022.
But then, what about the artist? Did he really paint her husband? Was that really her husband? She couldn't have imagined that, because her sister was present too. Did the man die in the cave or sometime else?
Anyone what Roder is talking about when he tells Anne that she duznt understand? Somebody plz tell me if u know. Thx. way everyone who crossed paths with Roger said he acted like an amnesiac. After the trauma of living thru a cave in, most likely, I'd have memory loss also. But I kinda wonder if he was 1 of those people who r killed in a lotta stories & don't know it. I think that was the case with Ann after she was killed by the speeding truck. Roger had 2 tell her that she was killed when he said "that isn't home for us anymore." Makes me think of an episode on The Twilight Zone called The Passersby where Civil War soldiers who were all mortally wounded in various battles walk by this house where a lady wait for her husband, Judd, who finally makes it there but has to explain to his wife that he killed in action at Yellow Tavern & she succumbed to a fever and Judd says he has to continue on the road but she resists until she comes face 2 face with slain President Lincoln who has a soothing way of letting her know what Judd told her & that he was the last casualty of the Civil War. This radio play with its plot makes me think of TZ's The Passersby.
I could just listen to these snuggled up in bed for the rest of my life! So comforting.

I’ve Become So Addicted, That I Can’t Go To Sleep Without Listening To These Stories.
You would have to get up to go to the potty. And to eat😊 lol
Fabulous entertainment, who needs television? And the great Larry Haines, I know his voice instantly.
A great story. I listened back in the mid 1970’s to this show. I think it aired on late Sunday evenings...
I didn't see that coming! Amazing story! You're appreciated chilly, always ❤️

Yes you can see the ending coming but didn't spoil the pleasure of a well produced and acted play.

That's one question that still lingers after the episode. I think that it might have been Roger's ghost but I guess it's left to interpretation.
Whoa that was a good one
I see... What do I see? THAT is the question!

Hi From Virginia!
Hi from the West Coast, 5/7/2022.
Love will find its way
Not a Larry Haines fan, he always sounded like the same character no matter what the story was.
I, unfortunately, could see the ending coming.
see ya on the next one
Oooh creepy... surprise ending
What a twist ending. The couple were reunited in death.
