- Well....that was certainly not what I expected. So much to unpack here! Season 3 is absolutely confirmed now. What did you think? Bit of an odd way to end the season but I still really enjoyed it.

Tech’s death is one of most painful moments of the shows 😢it hurts a lot. The music was so sad, amazing job of Kiner

The music really made the Tech stuff hit even harder, it plays during his moment and then after when they're talking to Omega and my heart just hurts hearing that music swell up, it's insane.
Techs death hit me like Kanan’s I also have to wonder if Comander Cody could be at the research lab

Yup, it's a last resort. When the only move left to save your brothers is to pay the price of your life.
Speaking of the Kiner's and their crew, I hope they are the series composers for the Ahsoka series. Their music is phenomenal. RIP Tech (he is sooo dead, you don't do a death scene like that and cheapen it by bringing him back - study that scene, not the goggles, that means nothing, only a finality to his character), gone too soon.
First, as I've said before, Dr. Hemlock is Heavily based off of Josef Mengele of the Nazi SS. Second, given Techs' ability for timing, he has a higher likelihood of survival than most in such a predicament, especially given their altitude. Third, there is a possibility that Luminara Undulii will make a short appearance at the Labs in Mt. Tentiss. I challenge you to put that last one together for yourself, then we all sit back and see what happens.
Has that actually been officially stated in print or video? That Hemlock is modeled on Josef Mengele? I came to the same conclusion. If you think of it, Mengele liked to conduct his sick experiments on twins and other multiple births due to their similarities. Hemlock is taking that disturbed idea to an extreme using the ultimate multiples: clones.

Tech fell the height of a VERY large mountain on top of that (pun intended) the cart fell on him. Bro would be a red pancake rn.
😢 This was truly a heart wrenching finale. I’ve seen it three times and I’m still tearing up. The animation and the music are off the charts excellent!🎶
If you look back at the scene where the Clone Commandos surround Wrecker , They look real, like totally live action, Unreal Animation.
Honestly I knew they were gonna do something with tech this season considering they had so much character development for him and even episodes where he’s the main lead. I just didn’t expect this Disney show to kill him off….yeah we all say that Star Wars characters does not stay dead, but like remembering how echo died so briefly by an explosion, tech’s death is more like a serious and formal send off….so I’m guessing that he’s not coming back, at least not as the squads tech anymore.
I've been wondering if there will be a role reversal: Crosshair will gain freedom and rejoin the Batch; Tech will be rebuilt (possibly akin to Echo) and reprogrammed into a new antagonist, possibly one of the human model Death Troopers that some have theorized are being designed under the mountain. Very Robocop, just on the Dark Side and with a frightening level of intellect.
I am afraid, if he is still alive, he will become something the crew will not recognize.

I don't know either. Tech has arguably been the most developed character this season, and well there Echo has fairly similar qualities. And I kinda want him to be dead, because another 'resurrection' would imo weaken the story.
As much as I want Tech back. We all saw the debris is right on top of him. By the time he landed, that debris must’ve smashed his entire body. With that little detail, it makes sense he’s actually dead. If you think water is down there, at that fall is still equal to hitting a concrete ground regardless. Even the distance/gap between Tech & the debris is that close, there’s no way he’d avoid it while in water.

How LOOOOOOOOOOONG do we have to wait!!? I don't want to see Asoka until they get Omega back 🙄I'm lying, emotions running away with me. You and I appreciate the music and animation of the entire series. Good ears in picking up Rogue One's theme, I had to point it out to my viewing crew.

TECH!!! 😭😭😭😭😭I am also unsure about his death. I think that is a testament to the writing of Tech's character we want more from him because he is so well written. Would love for him not to be dead but if he is it truly sad and this will -hang over the batch for awhile!
I don't think tech died looks to be he has a jetpack plus hemlock knew his name how'd he know and when he fell he had time to analyze his situation

I'm so glad someone in one of these reaction videos is also convinced that Tech didn't die. While I was heartbroken at first, I realized that the Bad Batch are more durable than Beavis and Butt-Head.
Hunter fell down a mountain in Season 1 of TBB. Echo was at the epicenter of an explosion (though was rebuilt as a cyborg) during the Citadel arc of TCW. Crosshair survived an avalanche earlier in this season. These guys are made of tough stuff, so I'm skeptical that Tech is dead. I'm well aware that I could be wrong, but based on those previous instances, I may not be.

...You are so right.
Given how evil and depraved the Imperial scientists truly are with their experiments, Tech being dead is a mercy. And I hate to burst your bubble, but Dee Bradley Baker confirmed Tech's death during a Bad Batch panel at a con sometime last year.
Also, I'm not looking forward to Crosshair's reaction when he learns about Tech's death and how they'll never make things right between them.

I managed to hold it together... till Hemlock threw the goggles to Hunter. Although, given what Hemlock is working on, I do hope that Tech didn't survive.
Now the question is how painful can we make Hemlock and Cid's deaths in Season 3.
I'm so upset at Saw. Tech would still be alive if not for him. This shows how he is ruthless and fails more than succeeds.
Saw only shows up so he can screw things over for everyone later 😂😐
I liked the finale. I knew Emerie was a clone last week. The accent gives it away, and the camera kept panning to her. She told Crosshair that her badge would not get him outside. It makes me wonder if she is also a a prisoner of sorts. We will have to see if she is trustworthy or not.

The animation WAS incredible, but Kevin Kliners score must be celebrated, as you pointed out. I am sure John Williams is listening from above and is proud! I can't stop 😢 😿 😭. Oh and wouldn't it be nice if Saw was still in the area and observed what was happening and swooped in to save Tech...or maybe Phee decided to follow them and she saved him....or...maybe I'm just in the "negotiation" stage of grief... My last theory, which would be nice, is that Rex and Cody, once they find out what happened would put together a team to get Omega and Crosshair...not to mention Rex is very good friends with Ahsoka...he could recruit her too. Lots of possibilities there.
A few you mentioned for bringing back have flaws. Palpatine aka in the sequels is NOT canon. 7-9 are NOT canon. Boba Fett was ALWAYS alive. Way back when in the books he had always survived the Sar Lac pit. He goes on to have a daughter who's a handful. Echo was obviously not the old echo, he, like Vader was half machine. Maul...well he's freaking Maul...a Sith...and force user, his hatred for Kenobi kept him alive. Tech is just a clone....a beloved clone, but just a clone...he has no reason to survive. I believe when Crosshair learns that Tech died trying to save HIM, he will be broken and go full vengeance mode on the Empire.
Tech's Death was closer in comparison to Hardcase's death in the Clone Wars Umbara arc than Echo's "death" in the Citadel arc because Tech like Hardcase sacrificed himself to save his brothers.
Tech is gone....he got SPLATTERED. He couldn't survive that fall, even if he hit water, that train thing fell on him. Bringing Tech back would cheapen the entire Plan 99. It is a last resort plan to save the team and your brothers at the price of your life. It cut me deep, but Tech is gone. I know it's Star Wars but Tech is not a main character of the Star Wars universe. He isn't a Yoda or Obi-Wan or even Maul.
Tech is dead. Hemlock may have been able to get enough material to create another Tech, but it won't be him. He would need to put that person to experience the same things as Tech and interpret them the same way.
Now, I think Hemlock could be quaking on genetic memory, so the child cline maintains the memories of the parent cline. This would follow along with what The Wills were saying ri Yoda when he went I that spiritual quest. The Sith never has and will never figure out how to live in the Force. Thus, once they lose their mortal selves, they just get absorbed into the force. Pleagus, fearing death and the loss of control over the Force, started researching how to become forever living, if not immortal.
Palpatine os continuing that work by his cloning projects. Think of it like the Cylons from "Battlestar Galatica" (the reboot, not Glenn A Larson's iriginal). It starts to smack of "The Bosy from Brazil, "where Mendelson is hiding out in Brazil, trying to recreate his Fur Aldolf. That goes into the same concepts of physical body and for the lack of a better word, a soul. What makes a person who they are? A set of replecatable chemicals, or the sum total of their experiences, and how they interpret those experienceps.
You know, for the kids.

Absolutely NO way we’re down a member. But no matter what, I dont think i’ve been hit with such emotion for a character in such a long time. Bad Batch is definitely a show thats hit or miss for some but when it hits, it hits like a truck. I agree heavy with Mellisa that Bad Batch needs proper direction for their seasons. I loved all of the eps but they kind of spent time finding out what they wanted to do for this team and it kind of affects the overall tone. But nonetheless, if the writing team and storyboarders get together to have a clear story all the way through then Bad Batch could definitely get Clone Wars level love.
I think this show the Bad Batch is the strongest music wise but I feel the best animation wise has to go to Star Wars Resistance that show is just so colorful and detailed.

Yeah...That would be the first stage of grief. Personally speaking, a character death should never feel earned, to me that's bad writing. Death in fiction should always feel unexpected, much like in life.
And yes, the animation. Probably one of the best looking animated series to date. But yes, also the music, very much yes.

How did you keep your composure?!? I ugly cried 😢 Hemlock is a d$ck if he stole the body to keep for experiments then that’s a not nice way to make fandom show emotion! 😂 the summit episode was really good! Loved the SW surprise and Krennic also the Star dust mention!
I'll be annoyed, but not surprised, if it's yet another fake-out death. I feel that it was earned - they removed Echo for several episodes to have a reason to focus on Tech and build empathy for him. I barely even noticed his existence in season one, so I think they did a decent job to make me care about his death at all.
Wrecker should probably be the next to die next season because Echo already has and Hunter is the only other adult in the room most of the time (although killing Hunter and forcing Wrecker into a father role instead of brother one might be the only way to give him some growth).
The series finale should finally kill Hunter as well and have Omega go off to make her own way in the universe like her father Jango and brother Boba. I don't want to see any of the Batch as old men in the modern era - I want them to go out fighting a good fight against an unbeatable foe for a good cause.
What I'm expecting, though, is that everyone - even Tech - makes it to the last episode and lives happily ever after on a farm or something out of harms way.

Tech is my favorite and I'll be upset if they bring him back. It'll be so damn cheap IMO. Star Wars loves having fake deaths though..... and I can't stand it lol

One of the worst seasons of star wars ever. Only a couple of episodes were good, techs "death" was so out of place and just for the sake of emotion, the twist that wasn't so much of a twist and irrelevant anyways. I feel like when i go to the movies and they waisted my time, took my money, and the movie was crap. Really disappointing because there was so much that they could easily do.
This was the best Star Wars season ever so emotional and so good all the others Star wars shows and movies suck compared to this

Episodes 3,6,7,8,11,12,14,15 and 16 are all considered good/great episodes 🤷♂️ so that’s not really a considered a few 🤔
