    Naomi is a perfectionist! It takes one to see. Make sure you’re “squares” and such are absolutely perfect before you ask her to duplicate ( I myself saw the rectangle she originally picked out!) She is an absolutely brilliant girl! All praises to The Most High!!!

    Incredible example of meeting your individual child where they are. Thanks for the inspiration.

    Love these videos! I like how it wasn’t an option to NOT finish with the pieces, but you stayed really calm and just kept redirecting. I can see how homeschool is just the best option for her needs.
    On a random note, it would be really funny if you did a Naomi voice-over 😂

    My preschooler LOVES using dry-erase markers for school. I did find some skinny, small ones, but I just bought them locally so I don't have a good source to recommend. She's rocking the left-handed tracing!

    This was so good to watch today. Thank you again for making and posting these videos! My 5 yo preschool daughter with DS is so similar to your Naomi. It’s super challenging to keep her on task when i need her to do something, whether it’s school or just going on a family outing… I found it encouraging to watch your reaction to Naomi, and your determination to complete the task you set out to do with her, but still being flexible and keeping it short and letting her choose the book, etc. kudos to you and Naomi, and thank you from me!
    Ps. My daughter gives random super tight hugs too 😁❤️ 🤗

    You are amazing and so patient. Naomi is a wonderful, smart girl but I think I would go crazy lol, I'm not very patient myself. So I understand if it's hard work to teach a kid with both low concentration and very strong will. But she's developing and learning so that shows that you both doing a good job. Interesting the different ways you try to teach her letters (one day all that will fall together), she did great in the end.

    Before making her trace objects just teach her to trace simple straight line, then horizontal line, vertical line... Then it will be easy for her to trace... Start with the small steps.

    How often do you do school with her?

    • @LivingWithEve
      @LivingWithEve  2 года назад +4

      With the exception of her therapies, I sit down with her for 15 - 45 mins. a day. Sometimes more, if you consider reading books together. But 15 -45 minutes of focused time together.

      @@LivingWithEve thank you. I’m questioning if I should try to do more for my son. He’s 4 and I maybe do school stuff once a week
