I love carving. I have 2 boards: Nidecker Tracer (this is a directional asymmetric board, it is sold in 2 versions - goofy and regular). I ride 157 - it holds up very well on the slope, excellent carving turns! The second board is the F2 Eliminator. This is a boardcross board. F2 is an Austrian company that has been around for more than 30 years. Eliminator is a stiff board that allows carving at very high speeds and even on icy slopes. It takes a lot of skills to ride it, but I love it very much!
I have to put Korua Pencil Plus or any board from their Plus lineup. These boards are lighter than any other board you will have. It doesn't feel like you have a board attached to your feet. So you won't get tired as much. They are more expensive than their regular white boards and they look better in snow since they are black. If you have this board you will be the only one on the mountain. These boards are meant for speed.
2020 Capita super DOA 161W, I rode once on a borrowed board that was a DOA. I’m 35 I live in TX so I bought a board that would last 10+ years with my limited winter riding….enter super DOA, I love it
I'm 182cm and 90kg and ride: '23 Bataleon Cruiser 159 - I only run with one snowboard at a time and for me it's always a traditional camber board with a directional shape, a good amount of taper, a set back stance, and plenty of float in powder. '23 Salomon Echo dual Boa (UK 9) '24 Nidecker Supermatic (L).
Bataleon wallie 148 3bt camber for jibs and rails, lobster shifter 151 full camber all mtn, rome cheap trick 153 Cam rock for bigger jumps. Bataleon Evil twin 147 for preseason and end of season rocks.
Ride a 2021 Capita Kazu for it's directional camber profile, ability to carve groomers, and handle higher speeds. For pow, I got a Bataleon Surfer. Bindings used are Rome Katanas. Aloha!
I have an Atomic Hatchet (wide) for on piste, and a Jones Mind Expander for powder. I think the hatchet is the 2009/10 model, and the Mind Expander is 2019/20. I use Northwave boots. Partly as I love the lacing system, but mainly as they're good for wide feet like mine. I used to have a Salomon Powder Snake, but it was replaced by the Jones.
Salomon villain 2022 155 for park and jumps but I also used it for the rest of the mountain until I picked up my favorite board to ride currently which is my Rossi sushi XV 2022 144 it’s my first powder board I got it brand new for $150 just for pow days but didn’t get any this season so just decided to rip it on some groomers and tree runs and had an absolute blast on it
Shadowban w/DODs and a Camel Two w/Blasters. Just spent a week in Park City on the C2 and had the absolute best time I’ve ever had on a snowboard. Period.
Mercury, with step ons, Superpig with cartels Orca with clutches But i have a mega merc that i havent ridden yet and a yes 420 that i havent ridden yet… Kev needs to come to falls creek and ride my superpig or my warpig…
Still rockin the OG x8. Yup like 15 years old that thing is cracked to hell but I love it. Might get that 3D daily driver tnough, time for a re-up. The x8 getting squirly lol. Great vid!
I also have the huck knife pro 158w with union flite pro its my first board really light and i love it still a beginner but i am progressing fast on this board way bether than the rental i had in snowboardschool. Also have the same boot like kevin. Vans are just the best choice no matter if you snowboarding or skateboarding.
@@AeroGanter I also have the HK Pro and hi standard pro, before buying boots I have tried vans infuse and other Adidas boots but hi standard pro was the best in terms of comfort. I have the 2021 hi standard pro model, I saw on the new model, the hook lace does not go as high as the old model (2 hook instead of 3), only the strap at the top of the boots, that's a shame
Been ridding since 1995 so am just used to traditional camber and everything else feels weird that I've tried. Burton was the best name in the game at that point and have had a Custom most of that time. Tried a flight attendant for a few seasons to try out some of the new tech, and while it was great for big powder days those are few and far between on the ice coast and switched back to a custom this season and it just feels like home. I'm sure there's better stuff out there (would love better edges in icy conditions that what Burton seems capable of) but at this point I don't have the flexibility to demo a bunch of stuff.
Riding the Orca for the 4th season now. As I live in Hokkaido my season starts and ends with riding off-piste so it's perfect for that. I have a Burton Deep Thinker as well but it's just collecting dust. The K2 excavator caught my interest though, might get that one next year.
For park i have a Capita DOA with Union ultras, definitely best all around board but I lean towards rails over big jumps And for a carving day I have a Yes PYl with Atlas. Most surprising board I’ve ridden, super locked in and tons of pop
Im new to snowboarding looking @ buying the K2 afterblack . Is that a good board to buy/ start off with . I rented a flat board at the resort and I learn pretty quick and now looking at buying my own bord
I think my favorite board was a 2006 Lamar Mecha that my buddy snapped in half. I've had like ten boards since then and none felt quit as good as that cheap piece of wood.
right now i ride the Platinum Series - Ion, should i switch boards? its mainly a freestyle board and i probably should have bought an all mountain lol. i just went my second time snowboarding and i rode it. i adjusted the bindings to 15 15, before i had one at 15 and the other one at 0, so we will see how i ride next time!
I love my Arbor A-Frame, also ride a Never Summer Proto both with Step ons. Two very different boards depending on my mood, who I ride with and where 😁
@@jettgillis1751 Proto CT, reverse camber with camber under the bindings. It's a pretty soft board so good for butter, jibs and stuff. Very stable board.
Capita indoor survival 158w, the camber feels so good for high pop and the wide profile is perfect for my size 13 boots. Even though it’s a park board it does phenomenal all over the mountain, it also looks sick
I adored my Burton Custom X from 2010(?), then I ruined it by accident, bought a NeverSummer photosynthesis in 2021-ish, and utterly hated it. Worst board I've ever owned and now I'm back to looking for a board that doesn't feel like riding a piece of paper down the slopes.
Im on my first board which is a rossignol circuit. Dont really know much different but i have caught the back of my boot in a turn. Im riding a 164 and i have size 13 boots. Anyone have a suggestion for a good carving and playful board that is good for a taller person with skiis for feet :)
Currently the Rossignol Jibsaw. Paired with the Union Stratas, it's just a great all rounder. And I love the Serrated Edge tech.

Thanking your videos, I bought my firs board and equipment, and tomorrow starting))) good content, keep do it, man))

Nothing but party boards baby. Volume shifted for my fat ass, widened for my big foot feet and the mood is already set to party mode😎

Best park board?
Early before this blows up btw thx for content I just got back from school camp and it was boring this was me the whole time 😐
Someone help me pick a board for northeast coast ! I’m a beginner / intermediate pretty much doing groomers
Skate Banana 👍
You definitely don't need a wide board for size 10 feet.
People need to buy Vimana boards
it's on my list to get one day!
T Rice Orca. It’s my all mountain/all conditions board. Don’t do park
