i dont think ruina could have ended any other way. giving up what you want for the sake of others... thats the most human thing you can do. in the end, shes more human then just about anyone in the city.
She always been human, thats the beauty of this game, ever since she was Ayin's assistant. She was compassionate on the beginning, and eventually grew cold from realizing those good interactions were pointless. She may been keeping a logical approach so far but even her got a little bit insane and hurt from 1 million years of repition, not so unlike the people on warp trains She is only different from a human in body

I bought this knowing nothing of PM's universe, and it quickly became my favourite game. The characters, the story, everything. 180 hours in, last week, I finally finished it. One hell of a journey.
As someone whose finished the final reception just now, but completed Lobotomy Corp, I am in shambles as this song is truly the best ending for all things considered. Seeing a new light to shed for Angela and Roland, despite their circumstances made this the best thing to end. There are electric sheep, after all.
idk if I'm overanalysing but "the city's book-powered fires" hits pretty hard imo, because in LOR, books kind of represent the essence of people, and so a 'book powered fire' is a beautiful way of summing up the city as it currently operates: an ugly thing that burns people up with no regard for who they are on the inside to fuel its own ends, or perhaps for no reason at all. a place where individuality doesn't matter and emotions go to die.
funnily enough, Lobotomy Corporation was perhaps the most literal example of this. a place where the emotions of people and abnormalities were literally used as fuel to power the miracles of the city, a place where lives and stories were often deliberately sacrificed to meet the needs of the city itself.
I think one of my favorite parts about this is, at least within the context of the Library-the books that they’re burning-going by your interpretation as them essentially being a metaphor for fuel of the City-are the atypical residents of the City, the ones with dreams, dreams that are hard to find within such a world. To keep the City running, they need to crush the hopes and spirits of all those who dare to dream. Taking it a step further, although it might be reaching a bit-it becomes even more interesting and perhaps a tad ironic that, the Library is the one place where they (the “they” in this context would be the City’s collective, proxied by Roland and Angela, with their respective views on the City, but I won’t go into that in this comment, although I could.) will read and… I suppose, arguably, care about the story of the person who’s life they’re destroying-but all the same, they become books, expendable fuel in the eyes of the City-“it doesn’t matter what your story is, you’ll be used and tossed aside for the desires of someone else”. Which, is relatively in-line with some of the themes in both Lobotomy Corporation and Library of Ruina, more so the latter than the former, the emphasis on individuality versus the collective (whereas in Lobocorp, instead of it being the individual mattering more/fending for themselves, the “goal” was for the sake of the collective, not the individual), the idea of putting aside, ignoring, or even destroying others’ livelihood for the sake of your own, as well as Ruina pushing the ideal of not being resigned to the idea of it being a dog eats dog world, and not just accepting things as they are. That’s where the full “I’ll burn brighter than the City’s book powered fires” line is so relevant, IMO, further emphasizing one of the main points of the game-you don’t need to use others and treat them as expendable if you want to live and thrive-or at the very least, aiming for a world/society where that’s the case. Yes, the City might work that way-but it doesn’t have to be like that. “That’s this, and this is that.” We’re all inherently connected to one another as living beings. Real change in the world will happen once everyone, or at least a chunk of them understand this concept. Library of Ruined My Life. (Sorry for the long comment, and apologies if I didn’t articulate myself all that well! It’s nearing 5AM but my brain buzzed like a bee at this comment, and I just wanted to write out what I was thinking before I forgot, hahaha.)
On another lyric, "re-experiment, only this time i'll play nice" hits me hard, especially since it makes so much sense for Angela. Back in LC, being subjected to so many loops against her own will made her a... disagreeable person, but now that she's gone through her personal growth and is in control of the Library, she's happy- and not to mention a lot more likeable as a person in general.

"Only your time passes by" I didn't even realize this referenced Angela's slow perception of time the first time I listened to the song. Another beautiful little touch: The subtitles in the credits are in blue, same as Angela's color in certain other dialogues. What a journey this has been...I'm glad I was here to witness it all!

@@HaiSuShi I think Dead Cocoon is the Library itself. Since most of the lights are gone and there's no why to get the one perfect book anymore. Angela can't get the freedom she've always yearned. Just like a butterfly that can't get out of the Cocoon, and no change in the future since it's already...dead. I'm still wondering what golden ring means though.

This song is such a perfect ending song, it's basically Angela accepting that there are some things she might never experience and enjoy but deciding to focus on the things she CAN enjoy.

When i first saw ruina i didn't think much of it, i saw the steam page and thought it was just some odd little game and ignored it. 8 months later i came back to it and bought it and gave it a try, it wasn't my type of game at first. Deckbuilding, strategy, turnbased. Not really my style but i stuck with it and continued anyway. Just a day ago i had finished the game watching the credits and listening to this song. I wanted to cry. This is truly one of the best games i have ever played and i'm so happy i gave it a chance so i could fully experience it. I fully plan on 100%ing the game and getting all of the achievements aswell, thank you project moon, for your games, the universe you've created and everything else you've done.
My friend kept sending me things related to this game to the point where I had to see where the interest was. That was weeks and weeks ago. Thank you, ProjectMoon, for this amazing game and its character's and their stories.

Just finished LOR today. Writing this shortly after the fact. I suppose you can call this my short-form-tribute to the best game I've ever played. Honestly, I didn't really like the ending of them game. The story was great, but those fights back to back were exhausting, and kinda dragged things out just a little too long. But this song... it made it all worth it. Sitting there, listening to the lyrics, and finally getting to hear the last of Mili's songs for the game really tied the whole experience together. I wouldn't trade my 100-something hours for anything, really, because it was a special experience. Definitely my favorite game, ever- and it's going to leave an empty hole in my heart that I simply don't think anything else by PM is going to fill for a long time. I've played a significant amount of Limbus Company, and I started Lobotomy Corporation, but although I find both of them to be great experiences, LOR was both how I got into PM, and an inspiration to my own creative endeavors- so I think nothing will ever take its place. The books on those shelves, and the stories within, will be ingrained on my heart for a long time. As a hopeful writer, I know that to be the highest praise a storyteller can receive, and if I'm wrong then I'll go back and find something with even more gravitas to say. Cheers to anyone else who saw the entire story of the Library to the end. I hope it brought you as much joy as it brought me.
I passed so mutch time defeating roland 3 times on the 2 bad endings and the true, ending, the kether realisation and distorted blue reverbation to all end in the head batle and i did all this on a night. I was so tired of playing but when i heared this music, i could remember everithing passing by quickly, almost making me cry of the achivement that i got and the story i discovered. Masterpiece the gameplay is beatable but the sotry, lore and dificulty are just perfect. Worth it
Even though Limbus released after lor, Limbus was before the time the library even existed and during time when Angela was created with other sephirot. So it means that Dante is acknowledged by Angela as there is a possibility they met.

This is a masterpiece. The game, the music. It's beautiful. Emotional, and exciting. You've come this far. You're finally done. And yet, you don't want it to end it. This song is painful in a way, it gives you realisation that you completed the game.

I think Angela is thinking back to her past, after the Ending. She compares the past of the library and herself, and the present of the same things. Or, maybe this song is her past in the liabrary when she was alone.
Project Moon, You've really made such great two games of the series. I loved the journey all the way through from the beginning of LoR. So many surprises during the developmet and such a fun game as well. I can't wait to see what you plan for the next two games of the series!

The stage is over, the act is finished, actors is gathered together and bowed deeply to the guests. This neverending performance reached to the climax, leaving a bittersweet aftertaste. The scenario is torn apart and actors is no use anymore. But the Head is seeking for another actors for another great performance. The endless cycle is continues... This game changes people. Thank you, Project Moon, for yet another gem. I enjoyed waiting every Friday for a new chapter, wondering how would the story turn out to be at the end, and not once I was dissatisfied with it. Every part of this book went above and beyond. And it's bittersweet to finally close it after the finale. I'm looking forward to what's coming next! P. S. It's also amazing how many profile pictures you can recognize in the comments. PM's community is so tight, yet it's incredibly friendly and fun, and the content creators are top-notch. Thanks to all of them, I was able to enjoy the game even more :3

Started playing this game 3 years ago after playing Lobotomy Corporation. Managed to get the true ending today. Games like this don't come often, I deeply respect Project Moon for making this fantastic game.
This game has it's highs and lows, but something that is undeniable is that PM has created one of the best universes I've seen in a game. I am happy I stayed with this game and see it's evolution in development.
Such a calm, somber yet oddly uplifting song to cap off the end of an amazing journey the library. Thank you for such an amazing game ProjectMoon, and thank you Mili for this song.
The song seems to be about both Angela and Roland, kinda. The first part feels like it's about Roland. The second is clearly about Angela. "Is this what you call a Muse?" and "Stupid Poetic rhymes" seem like they're talking about Angelica and the Orlando Furioso poem.
@@bell4210 The Muses are originally goddesses from Greek mythology. They're essentially embodiment of intellectual pursuits such as art or science, and were tasked with inspiring Men. They also followed Apollo, the God of the Sun, Arts, Medecine and Masculine Beauty. Later on, "muse" have been used to describe women that would inspire artist. While originally females, a muse doesn't really needs to be one, or be a romantic interest. Anyone no matter the gender, age or bond can be a muse. Even a non-human being, or something that is not even alive can be a muse.
This has been an unforgettable experience the whole way through, thanks to the wonderful team behind the game and the incredible community that came together around it, new and old fans alike. I'm truly thankful I got to be a part of it as well. I'm so excited for what the future has in store for Project Moon and the universe of Lobotomy Corp and Library of Ruina. Back in LC, being subjected to so many loops against her own will made her a... disagreeable person, but now that she's gone through her personal growth and is in control of the Library, she's happy- and not to mention a lot more likeable as a person in general.

@@HaiSuShi I think Dead Cocoon is the Library itself. Since most of the lights are gone and there's no why to get the one perfect book anymore. Angela can't get the freedom she've always yearned. Just like a butterfly that can't get out of the Cocoon, and no change in the future since it's already...dead.

This song is such a perfect ending song, it's basically Angela accepting that there are some things she might never experience and enjoy but deciding to focus on the things she CAN enjoy.

When i first saw ruina i didn't think much of it, i saw the steam page and thought it was just some odd little game and ignored it.
8 months later i came back to it and bought it and gave it a try, it wasn't my type of game at first.
Deckbuilding, strategy, turnbased. Not really my style but i stuck with it and continued anyway.
Just a day ago i had finished the game watching the credits and listening to this song.
I wanted to cry. This is truly one of the best games i have ever played and i'm so happy i gave it a chance so i could fully experience it.
I fully plan on 100%ing the game and getting all of the achievements aswell, thank you project moon, for your games, the universe you've created and everything else you've done.
My friend kept sending me things related to this game to the point where I had to see where the interest was. That was weeks and weeks ago. Thank you, ProjectMoon, for this amazing game and its character's and their stories.

Эта игра дарила (и будет дарить надеюсь за счёт модов) множество эмоций от истории и геймплея. Благодаря этой игре я познакомился с некоторыми людьми и нашёл себе новое хобби.

Just finished LOR today. Writing this shortly after the fact. I suppose you can call this my short-form-tribute to the best game I've ever played.
Honestly, I didn't really like the ending of them game. The story was great, but those fights back to back were exhausting, and kinda dragged things out just a little too long. But this song... it made it all worth it. Sitting there, listening to the lyrics, and finally getting to hear the last of Mili's songs for the game really tied the whole experience together. I wouldn't trade my 100-something hours for anything, really, because it was a special experience. Definitely my favorite game, ever- and it's going to leave an empty hole in my heart that I simply don't think anything else by PM is going to fill for a long time. I've played a significant amount of Limbus Company, and I started Lobotomy Corporation, but although I find both of them to be great experiences, LOR was both how I got into PM, and an inspiration to my own creative endeavors- so I think nothing will ever take its place. The books on those shelves, and the stories within, will be ingrained on my heart for a long time. As a hopeful writer, I know that to be the highest praise a storyteller can receive, and if I'm wrong then I'll go back and find something with even more gravitas to say.
Cheers to anyone else who saw the entire story of the Library to the end. I hope it brought you as much joy as it brought me.

I passed so mutch time defeating roland 3 times on the 2 bad endings and the true, ending, the kether realisation and distorted blue reverbation to all end in the head batle and i did all this on a night. I was so tired of playing but when i heared this music, i could remember everithing passing by quickly, almost making me cry of the achivement that i got and the story i discovered. Masterpiece the gameplay is beatable but the sotry, lore and dificulty are just perfect. Worth it

Even though Limbus released after lor, Limbus was before the time the library even existed and during time when Angela was created with other sephirot. So it means that Dante is acknowledged by Angela as there is a possibility they met.

I think Angela is thinking back to her past, after the Ending. She compares the past of the library and herself, and the present of the same things. Or, maybe this song is her past in the liabrary when she was alone.

Started playing this game 3 years ago after playing Lobotomy Corporation. Managed to get the true ending today. Games like this don't come often, I deeply respect Project Moon for making this fantastic game.
This game has it's highs and lows, but something that is undeniable is that PM has created one of the best universes I've seen in a game.
I am happy I stayed with this game and see it's evolution in development.

The song seems to be about both Angela and Roland, kinda. The first part feels like it's about Roland. The second is clearly about Angela. "Is this what you call a Muse?" and "Stupid Poetic rhymes" seem like they're talking about Angelica and the Orlando Furioso poem.

Holy fuck this was an AMAZING game, I simply stared at the main menu speechless for quite a while after beating it, such a good game, everyone must play it.
