THANKYOU!!!! I thought I was gonna have to give up my dream job as a software developer because I thought I was gonna spend years trying to install git but never figure it out. But now it worked thankyou 😌
He doesn't mention this, and I don't get why, but if it looks like TERMINAL IS NOT LETTING YOU TYPE THE PASSWORD, it is, you just can't see that you're typing it and they do that on purpose for security reasons and such.
The two commands it tells you to run as the next steps for me to not get "command not found: code" I copied the first command then pasted. Following this first command I typed a space, then two ampersands, then another space, lastly I copied and pasted the second command, then pressed enter.
or i can just drop what he said here Open Visual Code Studio and press Up-Arrow + Command + P. Then type ¨>Shell command: Uninstall ´code´ command from PATH¨ and click on it. Once that is done, you type ¨>Shell command: Install ´code´ command in PATH¨ and click on it to install the code command again. That should work just fine.
I followed up until 0:49 but this is what I ended up getting: "fatal: Could not read from remote repository. Please make sure you have the correct access rights and the repository exists. Failed during: git fetch --force origin refs/heads/master:refs/remotes/origin/master"
