    Remember, on the helms you have to keep them inline. If you turn on 90 degrees from the opposite one, it will bind during motion. Welcome back, we missed you.

      Also use thin cardboard between your misalignment spacers and your steel plate during welding. It will give you a little space so it doesn’t draw too tight to get the helm back in after welding.

      Thanks for watching. And I’ve seen a couple other guys run 90deg and never really understood it too much as to why. I thought they would bind too. And yes we ended up finding a way to help with the metal not coming in when welding. But we made a big mistake on that one mount and spent lots of time trying to fix it. Hahaha.

    The struggle is real! I'm glad to see a new video from you guys. As you have found out, trying to fit everything in such a tight area is quite a challenge. Good work you two!

      Thanks Dallas. It was definitely a challenge trying to figure everything out but on the right path now.

    I run mine on the passenger side. No real horsepower out of the 4.0 but 7.1:1 doubler setup doesn't cause any binding. Food for thought, happy to see you guys back at it.

      Ahhh good to know. I figured it really didn’t make much of a difference on which side you have it on. Just need to make sure it clears everything.

      @@Ohio_offroad_adventures I'd be more concerned with getting the geometry where you want it within the space you have.

    I've been wondering when we would see another video. Great to see you back in the garage.
    If you don't already have plans, our club, Misfit Jeepers, is hosting a go topless event on May 20th from 9-3 at Bundy hill in Jerome MI. I'd like to invite you guys to come out and wheel with us.

      Thanks man. Just needed a break. And sadly we already have plans for that weekend. But maybe we can get together for another weekend.

      @@Ohio_offroad_adventures we all need a break now and then. You have to take care of you first.
      Just thought I'd throw the invite out there for the topless event. No worries. Hope you have something fun planned.

    Currently mine is on the passenger side AND its shorter than the driveshaft and so far it has been fine. We have put it through some stuff...... Double Triangulate the front!!!

    • @Ohio_offroad_adventures
      @Ohio_offroad_adventures  Год назад +1

      If I wasn’t trying to keep a steering box I would definitely double tri the front.

    That front bottom mount looks like it might be a hang up point do you have any plans on a belly or skid to help with that? Great to see the videos coming again keep up the great work

    • @Ohio_offroad_adventures
      @Ohio_offroad_adventures  Год назад

      No real plans yet. We typically see hanging points a little further back on the chassis when wheeling, like the rear mounts always get hung up. We are hoping this won’t effect things too much.
      And thanks for watching. Sorry about the long break.
