Thank you for sharing your experience. This is good to know. Hope your system is functioning normally now.

Not as normal as it should be: Unfortunalety there is a new ordeal: The phono pre is wrecking my nerves with very loud hum and noise. So I jumped from the frying pan into the fire. Jadis is a complete fail!

    Hi Rene.
For a while i was beginning to think only an exorcist can solve your problem.
We know that nothing of value comes easily but your experience took it to the limit.
Very happy you had a happy ending!
Re culprit. My listening room has its own meter by previous owner needs so its isolated from the rest of the house.
    I couldn't afford a power conditioner so i don't have one. Just a 1000W quality AVR i bought for 100 usd.
It's still dead quiet. Just a trivia for you. More power (quiet) to your channel!

If you can recommend a good exorcist, please let me know. Now I need one for the next step: the hum and the noise of the phono pre .
I get jealous when I read that your set up is "dead quiet". When you have a separate circuit for your stereo you won't even need a conditioner and some conditioners can even spoil the sound.

@@renessoundlife235 The former owner leased her house and kept 1 room for herself, why she had a separate meter installed.
Re phono pre, sorry to hear that. I'm not an expert but MC circuitry is highly sensitive to stray RF and EMF, why the power supply is physically as far as possible.
Not having money for high end can be a blessing in disguise i believe haha.
More power to your channel Rene!

@@renessoundlife235 Haha, you're most welcome Rene.
We Catholics have a ritual of house blessing too where our priest sprinkles holy water in all areas in and around the house before we move in.
Always wanted to see Bangkok but haven't gotten around to doing it. All the best to your journey!

Hi Matthew, sorry to hear that. Now we can add Audio Innovations, Border Patrol and Jadis to our black lists. My experience with Chinese amps is also better - very strange!

Hello Rene, I’m truly sorry for your trouble, but this video was so highly entertaining, and informative.
So was the culprit a bad tube in the preamp that was causing all that mains hum?
Jadis should be ashamed of themselves, but this is not representative of high end French audio.
I have a top of the line Atoll and Davis Acoustic speakers and I got an immediate response from both companies when requiring support (within 24 hours).
Even Yaqin provided better support for my $1k amp as compared to Jadis ... disappointing.
    Hang in there,
    Brian

thank you for the friendly feedback! The defective tube had caused the lack of bass and the absolute inability of the JP30 to communicate with any other amplifiers. The hum however remained und later mysteriously disappeared (as you will see in the follow up episode - I would be happy if you revisited my channel to see how the story continued....) On top of it all there is still a hum from the built-in phono pre.

@@renesklangwelt4393 Rene, it’s Incredible that you remained so calm throughout your ongoing ordeal.
What you are sharing is invaluable, a lesson to all that is in this hobby.
      Two quick personal examples.
1: a pesky mains hum that was eventually tracked down to my Atoll DAC that had a ground loop because of my Mac mini server (I grounded the Mac mini via USB = no more hum) 2: just recently I started getting a loud whooshing / crackling sound though the speakers that was eventually tracked down to a bad (but still wonderfully sounding) TJ Full Music 12AX7 tube ... dealer replaced the faulty tube under warranty.
I look forwards to your next video.
      Take care,
      Brian

I would hate to hear what the final bill was $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
    As for the French
We New Zealanders do remember that the French destroyed a boat by attaching explosives to & blowing it up & killing a innocent person in Auckland harbor & then thumbed their noses at us.
They seem to think the world calling them ARROGENT is a compliment.

Hi Rod, In fact, I had dreamt of zero $ extra charges... not with Jadis! Jadis destroyed my boat, too and now they arrogantly do not even answer- history repeats itself. But I'm happy to hear from you and hope you are fine (as before). happy Kiwi days!
