- Ok, I did this remix literally the day after the single came
out and FINALLY found some halfways usable videotools for windows 2000 (not as easy as it sounds), so I'm proud to present my first video remix. :) Of course this was done with no financial interests in mind and isn't to be seen as a ripoff but a fan hommage to the guys from Düsseldorf. :o)

@commanderkruge Well, I really admire you for accepting my critics even if I formulated them a bit too much aggressively ;) Actually it isn't that bad, no, I would say it's quite good, but because I think Kraftwerk does all to produce their songs in a very minimalistc way, if you now add some stuff, you break with their philosophy and that's why I don't really like it...

@plasmaarmelund No worries - I'm not insulted or something. :) watch?v=8mL99JcdBJA - this is the original. I moved some things around, added a little from my own synths and drum computers here and there... It's relatively close to the original in feeling for sure. :)
@plasmaarmelund I checked the vid you must be reffering to - no, that's not my remix, it's the original single on which I based my remix.
@commanderkruge What's different about yours? Don't get me wrong, I like it. I'm just wondering what you did with the original.
i like the video. i'm questionning the song: seems like the Kraft' guys are really resting on their laurels (which they deserve).
...oder auch nicht? Wenn stimmt was ich von verschiedenen Seiten gehört habe, dann ist inzwischen auch Florian ausgestiegen - selbst im offiziellen Forum ist er nicht mehr auf der Titelgrafik. Kraftwerk ist dann wohl nur noch Hütter mit drei "Angestellten"...
Ist Florian ausgestiegen? Wo hast Du das gelesen? Ich habe in einem Interview mit Ralf Hütter gelesen, dass er für mindestens ein Jahr nicht mit auftreten wollte und sich "um andere Dinge, technische Dinge kümmern wollte".
Ja, da wurde 20 Jahre weitergedacht, mit einer Umfangreichen Einleitung, wo viele dachten 8 , naja eigentlich unter dem Motto : Nur die ersten drei Worte zum Topmanagemant ...

Inzwischen ist das mit Florian ja offiziell - aber er ist nicht "weg", zum Beispiel hat er an einer CD von "Atom" (aka Lassigue Bendthaus, aka Senor Coconut) mitgewirkt.
Hm, scheint wirklich offiziell, das mit Florian - im offiziellen Forum gibt es eine kurze Meldung dazu. Und in Bartos' Forum wird auch gerade drüber geredet.
Naja... Für mich trägt Karl Bartos die Fackel weiter, was den "klassischen KW Stil" angeht - "Communication" ist eine Superscheibe. :) The Message rockt. :)
Jepp - es gibt bereits einen "Ersatzmann" auf der Bühne. Der war auch schon bei den letzen Auftritten dabei.

I did - I re-cut the original Kraftwerk video.
Gut gemacht, War echt eine schöne Zeit auf dem Gelände. Schade was daraus geworden ist. Gibt es noch irgendwo das Original Video?

Thanks - and I agree! While not a bad tune it sure isn't a "classic KW" piece, in my opinion. But now I know I can work on videos - even if it is SLOOOOW on my old PC - I'll sure try something with my own music too. And there's another project a-brewing... ;)

This was pretty much the first time ever I did a remix of another tune that used actual loops from the original and mixed it with parts from my own equipment, so it comes as no surprise that it lacks here and there. ;-) And I didn't attempt to make it sound "better" - just a little "different". If a listener likes it I'm happy and if not I can't change that, but I don't despair because of it.

@Nohshing Well, apart from simply being a question of taste - coverversions/remixes are always kinda tricky. Especially with a band with such a typical sound like KW - because, as soon as you change it it isn't the typical sound any more. I'm well aware of that. :)
