The Hundred has turned out to be a disaster for ECB. Who could’ve seen that coming?? Not me! 😒

Hundred is just a stupid concept
Focus should be on Blast. It's amazing and if it's ran properly it will make money.
It's such a pitty that even West Indies is having it's own successful T20 league whereas England isn't.
Guess what after IPL and Big Bash which one is the 3rd most revenue generating T20 league??? It's CPL and it's among the Top 100 Most revenue Generating sports league

I feel CC has improved over last few seasons, and this year some of the matches have far exceeded the tests for entertainmentIf you can get all 4 day games to run thurs-mon then I feel they could reduce the amount of games to 12 as early April and late sept get washed out anyway. so then the counties could focus on getting new memberships and need to start thinking outside the box and move with times.
on the 100, if they sell for 100's of millions, the invester's are gona want all england players in 100, and that is gona make test cricket and county cricket even more pressured.

      @@AndyL-gh2hr LOL! Complete opposite!!!
The CC standard around the kolpak era was superb. Around 2007 to 2012 had T20 in the summer, the last knockings of the Pro40 (which was superb) & the CC level meant players who played for England (won an Ashes in Aus... when will that happen again???) did not see such a big step up... Since then, total regression!
Close games does not mean better quality.
Now the selectors don't care if you play well in it. Josh Hull's selection makes my point.

In the 70s/80s, English football had a huge problem with football hooliganism... which killed off football crowds for a period. There was an opportunity, as Jarrod mentions, but it has been a slow death... and, at 42 years old and a HUGE cricket fan, I'm beginning to give up on English cricket... the county scene is over 😢

Hooliganism in a cricket match, where did you see that.

@@mohmmadnabeehasan4672 lol re-read it... it was football & hooligans, so cricket could have appealed then if the, then, TCCB had bothered.
In fact there have been issues with crowds in English t20s in the last few years!

@@alenton81Interesting, it seems like ECB coincides with downfall of Britain's superpower status to Americans, though the subjects are world apart.
