I can visualize that swallowing up of the flood and the pit filling up with the water. The beast in Revelation 12 is in a pit full of water and cannot leave. When it is able to leave the pit, it rises up out of the water contained in the pit, which is what we see in Revelation 13:1 That is awesome!!
I think at funerals for sdas they should have biblical verses being read out about the state of the dead and the 1st and 2and resurrection. From genesis and all the passages dealing with death. Therefore people who attend that funeral will able to read for themselves what we believe and what’s written in the Bible in its purest forms. Lots of opportunities are being squandered!
Wow just thought of something powerful as I study the Sabbath School lesson on Noah's flood - the rainbow - covenant that God will not destroy the earth again "with a flood" - just thought that's a great promise that the enemy won't win and the world won't be destroyed again by "a flood" :)

This amalgamated beast sounds very familiar to "Gog of Magog" mentioned in the Book of Ezekiel (Chp. 38). I wanted to know if you think there's a connection here as well?
Pastor, today I just learned that in Revelation 13:1, the one standing on the sands of the sea is the dragon and not John and that in this particular verse the KJV translation is incorrect because it’s based off of later Greeks manuscripts but the correct version based off the early Greek says he instead of I indicating it’s the dragon standing on the sands of the seas summoning these beasts. Do you agree?

Notice in prospective view Daniel saw lion, bear, and leopard beasts that yielded to the dragon of Rome, but John, looking in retrospective view sees the dragon made up of Leopard, bear, and lion parts, the exact reverse based on history.

How did you arrive at that yet the verse shows they are fused...the seas are within the holy mountain
I believe it to be a translation problem since something cannot be planted between water. If it’s two bodies of waters, what are they? One could say,l the righteous people vs the wicked people which would still lead to the same conclusion. So what I am saying is that either way, between the sea and the mountain or between the seas in the mountain, it’s pointing to Satan usurping Gods position.

So if when Satan impersonates and appears as Christ and comes as the king of the north and comes against atheism and all the other “isms” and if atheism during the French Revolution wounded the papacy are they at enmity? The second beast won't be the the United States. I would appreciate anyone responding to my post on this matter. I know SDA are bound to that prophecy because Ellen G White prophesied so. For example, Rev 19 recognizes only the pairing of the first beast and false prophet, and the fate that befalls them both. However, I have not found anywhere where the fate of the second beast is recorded SEPARATELY from the first beast and false prophet. If the second beast is not the false prophet, then it means the second beast then just disappears from the face of scripture and nothing is ever heard of it considering that the fate of all the role players, including the Whore is recorded. So it only makes sense (and this is supported by scripture) that the second beast is the false prophet who shares 100% the same characteristics both in Rev 13 and Rev 19 "And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone." Revelation 19:20 KJV lastly, it would be puzzling don't you think that we would be introduced to the false prophet only in Rev 19:20 at the point when he meets his judgement yet there would have been no prior mention of him? It only makes scriptural sense that the false prophet is introduced in Rev 13 with his characteristics (miracles, deceive, worship) and meets his judgement in Rev 19:20 where AGAIN his corresponding characteristics (miracles, deceive, worship) are mentioned. Quite a remarkable coincidence don't you think? It's a straightforward connection that doesn't need a thesis. The USA prophecy as the second beast doesn't hold for this reason and is one of the reasons why I couldn't fit some parts of Revelations together. Whatever the scope of its power, the 2nd beast is subservient to the 1st beast in that it's power is channelled towards the worship of the first beast. In any case, the first beast has formidable power of its own: It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. Revelation 13:7 NKJV It's not prescriptive that the two horns should represent parties or church and state as stated in other prophecies. The 1st beast need not depend on the military power or laws of the US. Infact, it's very debatable that the USA will be at odds with or have more political and military influence than the 10 nation confederacy that will prop up the 1st beast! Another resounding validation of Rev 13 as Dragon (devil), 1st beast and false prophet (2nd beast) is found in the the verse below which I did not site before. The sequencing, once again, is very revealing: "The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever." Revelation 20:10 NKJV Clearly the role players of Rev are persons or beings who will FEEL the wrath of God.
Sorry about the length, as I am still a learner of bible prophecy, so I hope to make these things shorter to express what I believe God has shared with me. As far as I know in scripture, the second beast would have to rise amidst a sparsely to unpopulated region of the earth, as the scriptures point to in a few places of the representation of many waters: Revelation 17:15 KJV And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. Isaiah 17:12 KJV Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters! In contrast the earth in the context of people would be a place that is sparsely populated due to the way the symbolism is used here. Revelation 13:11 KJV And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. We do know that God uses animals to represent kingdoms, and generally they can be found to match the representation of the kingdoms themselves like in the case of Babylon represented as a lion with an eagle's wings. Most of the beasts represented in Daniel are carnivorous, conquering nations. They devour other nations to sustain their existence. The second beast is represented as a lamblike beast that came up after this fall of the first beast which was when it received its deadly wound to the beast part of that kingdom. The United States was first acknowledged as its own country around the same time that the first beast fell, and it was founded on lamblike principle. People were free to choose what they believed. Though to a certain degree it is a hypocrite in it nature, as it does not keep to speaking like a lamb but will speak like a dragon. To answer the part of the false prophet, it is interesting to note that in the same chapter the second beast is given power to perform miracles for the sake of the first beast. Revelation 13:12-15 KJV And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. (13) And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, (14) And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. (15) And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. Also, the first mention of the false prophet is used here: Rev 16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. Let us look at what the first beast appears to be: Revelation 17:1-5 KJV And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: (2) With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. (3) So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. (4) And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: (5) And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. I will touch more on the aspect of the appearance of the beast, in that the beast has a woman riding upon it. The woman is in control of the kingdom, which we know constitutes a church whether false or genuine. The image of the first beast must then have a religious power taking the reigns of it that will be in line with the doctrine of the first beast. It must become at some point a church and state power in order to be the image of the first. Thus the false prophet must be correlated with the second beast, as they both do miracles for the first beast and together they will form its image. The head of the first beast was the ecclesiastical power, and so it will be with its image. Then there is another evidence that the second beast is the United States: Revelation 12:13-16 KJV And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. (14) And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. (15) And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. (16) And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. The devil was permitted to persecute the faithful people, of which we see for a period of time of 1,260 years was protected to a degree from his wrath. Then as we understand earlier; the devil used the multitudes that were under his control to persecute the faithful of God. Before this woman was swept away of the multitudes, a place of refuge was opened where the people could not persecute them. This was one of the main reasons that the pilgrim fathers came to the United States; to escape the religious persecution caused bigotry (blind attachment to creeds) that was prevalent among those in the area of Europe. The same place where the second beast rose is where the faithful woman escaped to.

The timeline of the beast rising around the same time as the sea beast (Papacy) being wounded, as well as the fact that this is a group of people claiming to be Christian's but acting like devils in governing (lamb horns/Dragon speak), as well as the fact that it arises out of the earth---only point to the US. There was literally no other nation on the face of the planet that fit all of those descriptions perfectly. None. So really, we don't need to struggle to make anything fit. History books confirm this for us.

Gog and Magog is the final iteration of this beast.

No, John is referring back to it’s pre-wound reign by referring back to Daniels time period of the 1260.

Revelation 17:15 KJV And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
Isaiah 17:12 KJV Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!
In contrast the earth in the context of people would be a place that is sparsely populated due to the way the symbolism is used here.
Revelation 13:11 KJV And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
We do know that God uses animals to represent kingdoms, and generally they can be found to match the representation of the kingdoms themselves like in the case of Babylon represented as a lion with an eagle's wings. Most of the beasts represented in Daniel are carnivorous, conquering nations. They devour other nations to sustain their existence. The second beast is represented as a lamblike beast that came up after this fall of the first beast which was when it received its deadly wound to the beast part of that kingdom. The United States was first acknowledged as its own country around the same time that the first beast fell, and it was founded on lamblike principle. People were free to choose what they believed. Though to a certain degree it is a hypocrite in it nature, as it does not keep to speaking like a lamb but will speak like a dragon.
To answer the part of the false prophet, it is interesting to note that in the same chapter the second beast is given power to perform miracles for the sake of the first beast.
Revelation 13:12-15 KJV And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. (13) And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, (14) And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. (15) And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
Also, the first mention of the false prophet is used here:
Rev 16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
Let us look at what the first beast appears to be:
Revelation 17:1-5 KJV And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: (2) With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. (3) So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. (4) And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: (5) And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
I will touch more on the aspect of the appearance of the beast, in that the beast has a woman riding upon it. The woman is in control of the kingdom, which we know constitutes a church whether false or genuine. The image of the first beast must then have a religious power taking the reigns of it that will be in line with the doctrine of the first beast. It must become at some point a church and state power in order to be the image of the first. Thus the false prophet must be correlated with the second beast, as they both do miracles for the first beast and together they will form its image. The head of the first beast was the ecclesiastical power, and so it will be with its image.
Then there is another evidence that the second beast is the United States:
Revelation 12:13-16 KJV And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. (14) And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. (15) And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. (16) And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
The devil was permitted to persecute the faithful people, of which we see for a period of time of 1,260 years was protected to a degree from his wrath. Then as we understand earlier; the devil used the multitudes that were under his control to persecute the faithful of God. Before this woman was swept away of the multitudes, a place of refuge was opened where the people could not persecute them. This was one of the main reasons that the pilgrim fathers came to the United States; to escape the religious persecution caused bigotry (blind attachment to creeds) that was prevalent among those in the area of Europe. The same place where the second beast rose is where the faithful woman escaped to.

@@TheWatchmanWebsiteThe timeline and the characteristics perfectly fit the United States (but more specifically Apostate Protestantism in the US). The timeline of the beast rising around the same time as the sea beast (Papacy) being wounded, as well as the fact that this is a group of people claiming to be Christian's but acting like devils in governing (lamb horns/Dragon speak), as well as the fact that it arises out of the earth---only point to the US. There was literally no other nation on the face of the planet that fit all of those descriptions perfectly. None.
So really, we don't need to struggle to make anything fit. History books confirm this for us.
