There’s a couple things I don’t like about about this. First, the chair is missing the back. It looks funny sculpted incomplete. Wish they would’ve sculpted a full chair. Second, the chess pieces are not to scale, they’re oversized. Would like to have seen a full accurate scaled chess table and pieces. But otherwise, still looks nice concept-wise.

hey dude im planning on pre ordering the X-Men diorama. I usually order from SS, im hearing iron studios doesn't charge tax is that true?? If so im going to order from iron studio since these pieces all together is 5Grand and taxes will be near 500.

Nice review but a definite no for me. The detail on the chair is superb looking and creative but... I think they just missed the mark with Kingpin IMO. Not enough sculpted textures on the suit. It does look like “fondant”, and the non-magnetized pieces to the chess board seems like a QC mishap. It’s an affordable piece and the Only real 1/4th Kingpin... But not really feeling the luxury standard XM pushes here. Having 5 pieces by them this just seem way down the ladder. This is a piece I’d feel Sideshow would do surprisingly well on... If they decide to stop re-releasing/re-doing certain characters as premium formats.
