@@BecomingCatholic it's interesting and, sadly, largely overlooked by the greater protestant community. Jesus was both God and Man. For him to gain his human nature he needed a mother. Without Mary's sacrificing of her will to become Jesus' mother we would not have the salvation of the cross.
@@eagletrigger that is exactly why she deserves our love and honour 🥰 she could have easily said no, and we all would be lost again. I'm sure God The Father Had good reason to believe that He Picked the right Mother for His Only Son. She wasn't just any vessel, she had to be fit to carry Divinity in her womb so I doubt that God could Have Said Ok, Who's Next? If she had refused. She suffered tremendously for each of us to be saved, I know that I would not be strong enough to see my son massacred for the world. And after all we cost her she still loves us, because she is the Handmaid of The Lord 🥰 God bless you all.
I came to know Jesus through Mary and wow! Life changing! Mary points us to Jesus never to herself. Just like Jesus came to us through Mary we go to Him through Mary❤️
All that Mary wants is for us to be less sinners by praying the rosary. Who do we please if we sin less? Our Father who art in Heaven. Thy will be done. Even Jesus follows God’s will. Rosary assists us to resists temptations, helps us to focus, helps us to be disciplined, self-controlled, self-sacrificed, which are also all the nature, the ways or behaviors of Jesus Himself.
Praise God,welcome to the family we need more like you on our journey .I dont know of any pastor who has accepted the truth to be disappointed about how they would manage especially those with children.God Bless.
I started praying the Rosary and I noticed over time God's grace throughout my day as I feel protected and loved. When I do my daily Rosary, I hunger more to do God's will and know Jesus as my Lord and Savior. When I pray after I finish the Rosary, I sometimes can hear God's voice guiding me through the Holy Spirit. May God Bless you as you step out in faith as Mother Mary gives promises to those who say the Rosary. May you truly be blessed by our Lord and Savior!
The Rosary is powerful, when the Atom bomb dropped in Japan the priest and the nuns were praying the rosary. They were right in the center of it nothing happened to them.
Congrats on your journey home. The rosary is an amazing prayer. Do not feel discouraged that your mind continues to drift as you pray it. Even a cradle catholic like me experiences distractions while I pray it. Take heart that as long as you catch yourself and redirect your mind back on to the mysteries and the related scripture that pleases the Lord. As for Mary, the best way I've come to explain Mary's relationship between us and Jesus is the Wedding at Cana. She's the first to notice our problems, the first to bring them to her Son's attention, and the first to tell us to do whatever her Son says. This doesn't diminish God's role. Mary is the biggest road sign pointing us to her Son and our salvation. And on a personal note, my wife and I have experienced miracles from asking Mary for help, including the blessing of our daughter after years of struggling to conceive. It wasn't Mary's own power that granted it, but her intercession, just like Cana, that brought our prayers to Jesus for him to answer.
I too grew up Protestant, but began praying the Rosary over a decade ago. I've never been able to attend RCIA, but hope to. What's so beautiful about the Rosary is that everything in life, every prayer need we could possibly have relates to at least one of the mysterious in some way. So ultimately, the Rosary is like an outline for prayer. I had a high school lit teacher who always used to take a quote from whatever we were studying and stress, "who said it to whom, when, where, why, who else was present and what overall significance does it have to the play?" And that's a good place to start thinking about the mysteries. For the Joyful mysteries specifically, 1.) Annunciation - Archangel Gabriel comes to Mary. He also came to Joseph. You might think of other times in the Bible that he came, to whom and what message he brought from God. You might ask, "archangel Gabriel, pray with me and pray for me." You might pray about relationships that could use divine help in the area of communication. If you have the idea for a new project or going in a new direction, you might pray for the fruition of your plans. 2.) Visitation - Here Mary visits her cousin Elizabeth. You might ask, "Saint Elizabeth pray with me and pray for me." One virtue associated with this mystery is "Love of neighbor." You could also pray about the parallel between Elizabeth's words, "who am I that the Mother of my Lord should come to me?," which is a parallel of King David, "who an I that the arc of the covenant should come to me" You might use this mystery as a time to think about Mary being the new arc of the new covenant. 3.) Nativity, birth of Christ. What touches me is the holiness of that blessed night. If you recall a time at Christmas where you were just engulfed in the awareness of the holiness of that night, bring that to mind. 4.) Presentation - sometimes the teaching is about obedience or humility. Sometimes I think back to the non-denominational church where I was dedicated as a child, the methodist church where my late husband and I dedicated our son. Sometimes, particularly if i'm praying the joyful mysteries early in the morning, I thank God for this new day, dedicate the day asking God to help me and guide me. 5.) Finding the child Jesus in the temple. I have a son who was abducted, so a lot of times I pray for abducted children and illegally trafficked children, that they would "be found in the temple." Or I pray for myself that I will be in the right time at the right place, in God's perfect plan for me, that by meditating on the mystery and knowing who my father is will give me guidance for finding a new Catholic church.
I don't know why you cannot attend RCIA, but if it's a scheduling problem, a health or mobility problem, call the pastor of your local Catholic Church and explain your situation. In almost every parish, there is a way to receive instruction outside of the group RCIA classes for those who truly cannot get to them. Come on home friend!
And what is so wrong about the prayer that The Lord Jesus Christ taught His disciples: The Lord's Prayer. ??? Shouldn't all "Christians" learn this prayer and pray to The One True God and Jesus Christ?
Oh, of course, that's not idol worship. And where does it say in the Bible that there is a mother that people are to pray to instead of directly to God? Or is this a human invention and forced upon the ignorant Catholics who have little knowledge of the Bible?
There is a peace that comes with saying the rosary that I, as a mere human, cannot explain. It is something you will experience on your own. God Bless! 🙏
Yes Yes Yes!!!! Amen!!! Exactly!!! I have been praying the Rosary all of my life and that's exactly how it is. All of it, sometimes there are distractions. But when I have prayed it in a novena by the 9th day the Holy Spirit moves and I feel on fire withe the Holy Spirit!!! And the consecration and the miraculous medal, miracles and blessings will happen for you , your family and your loved ones, that bring honor to our Lord. Thank you for sharing your journey and your testimony. You inspire this lifelong Catholic
We're with you bro ! The devotion is - to put yourself in the presence of each of those sacred events as if your life is concurrent with those moments , and react as if you're really THERE , and not in your study chair. It's not an easy prayer to stay focused upon. In addition to that , LUCIFER is terrified of the power of the rosary and will enlist his minions to distract and discourage you , but just ask the Almighty to rebuke the trouble-maker when that happens. A very useful aid for you is a small book titled ' THE SECRET OF THE ROSARY ' written by saint Louis De Montfort. As of year 1999 -- 4,750,000 copies were printed and sold in a nice glossy paperback edition. Personally , as a Catholic ( me ) who had no real formation as an adolescent , but Merciful God instructed me during my adulthood , I'm jumping out of my chair with excitement because of your intellectual honesty & humility . Love you brother ! By the way , I'm a 68 yr. old man now but with a youngster's enthusiasm.
Oh, I love this! I am a convert (over 25 years ago, in my upper 30’s). The Rosary was hard! Trying to get my mouth to say the Hail Mary’s while fingers moving in the beads and mind concentrating on the mystery. It took a while. Now, I can fully immerse in the mystery. For example, today is Friday, so sorrowful mysteries. On the last one, I concentrate on the seven things Jesus said from the cross. Inner locutions come… imagine being the criminal on the cross, repent, ask Jesus to remember him. Jesus says today you will be with me in paradise. We don’t think about that on a normal day. I think about it every Tue & Fri when I pray sorrowful mysteries
Wow, your title definately caught my attention! It will take awhile, but all the Protestant Converts say that after 4 to 6 weeks, they definately feel a change spiritually. God Bless You on your journey.... PS: I follow Divine Mercy, the Marion Priests (National Shrine in MA) on RUclips pray it each day, so you can follow along. Also, Keith Nester, a former Methodist Minister Convert says the rosary very powerfully each day (RUclips, recorded so yu can view anytime), he expounds on the mysteries. I hope you find following a site easier. Keith also puts up the prayers/words on the screen so you can not be destracted with papers in front of you. Good luck to you our Brother In Christ!
@@BecomingCatholic Sorry, but wanted to share Ascension Presents Father Mike Schmitz Catechism In A Year (only 15 min videos per day RUclips/Apple for phone). It's beautiful and you can start with Jan 1, etc. at your own pace! God Bless.....
Congratulations. Love it. A rosary a day is amazing. 3 rosaries a day is incredible. Once you get used to rhe words of the hail mary and are able to meditate and bring that meditation into your heart more often...it's absolutely beautiful. But congratulations. Huge step down a beautiful road.
By the way, the rosary saved me from suicide. It took 3 rosaries a day to do this, though. So I always tell someone who is in a rough spot in life...the more you pray, the more it helps you. You're Christian, I don't have to tell you this...but the original rosary was given 15 promises based upon reciting the 15 decades daily. I would literally be having suicidal ideation while saying the first rosary. Same with the 2nd...then halfway through the 3rd, my distractions during prayer went from suicidal thoughts to thoughts of hope. This happened more times than I can count and it was always on the 3rd rosary. Poiint being. 1 rosary. Great. 3 amazing. God bless
I am a lifelong protestant also trying to learn about the catholic faith. I am blessed to have worked for a catholic healthcare system 30 years and now giving nursing care to our Religious Sisters. They are teaching me so much about Jesus and how to love Him more everyday. I learned to pray the Rosary by praying with them. It has been so beautiful and I have never sensed peace in a way that I do while praying the Rosary. Another beautiful thing is to spend time in the chapel with the Blessed Sacrament. It is a peace beyond what I could have ever imagined. Thank you for sharing your journey. It is encouraging as I am also on my journey to a deeper relationship with Jesus! Prayers my friend!
It made me so happy to see this pop up in my notifications! Yes, the rosary is very calming! To be, at least. I love praying it. And it's okay that you found it hard to concentrate on both the prayers and the mysteries at the same time. That's something that a lot of people struggle with at first. After awhile, though, the Hail Mary becomes so second nature that it's very easy to pray it without even thinking about it and you can focus very easily on the mysteries. And I'm glad you see the rosary as not something that's worshipping Mary! When I pray it, I actually go in with a prayer intention and think of it as asking Mary to pray alongside me and to pray for my intentions, just as I would ask anyone else to pray with and for me.
Hey Mikaela! Thanks for commenting on another video! Thank you for sharing your intention with me, I may use it next time! Appreciate you and your support!
@@BecomingCatholic It's no trouble at all. This is how I view my prayers whenever I'm praying to Mother Mary and the saints, rosary or not. Of course we pray to God directly, but these are our friends and family. They can pray for us, as well, and that is what we ask of them 🥰 This mindset and understanding of intercessory prayer has helped me a lot ever since I first learned about it.
I felt EXACTLY the same way as Nate. I was intelectual convinced but couldnt quite convert fully to catholicism, until i started praying the rosary!! Such a game changer! All of a sudden I craved the sacraments and now I’m due be received into the church this coming Easter!!!
I can relate there ! I was born catholic but did not practice for many years so when I began saying the Rosary, the prayers themselves where far in my memory ... I had to keep the booklet close and it took a little while before I felt comfortable enough to really be able to meditate the mysteries ! Every now and then my thoughts are wandering from the prayers to things I'm living at that moment. I like to ask myself in those moments, how can I live throught my joys and pains and stay strong in my faith ? The dedication of Mary to her Son and her obediance to God never fails to inspire me ! That's why the Rosary is an important part of my prayer life !
After awhile the Hail Mary becomes background sounds as you contemplate the mysteries. I pray it everyday. I also did the 33 day Consecration to Jesus through Mary. Life changing!
I am an Episcopalian and I have prayed the rosary. I find it is very useful particularly when one knows the Hail Mary, the Our Father, and the Apostles' Creed by heart they serve almost as a mantra to allow your thoughts to focus on the various mysteries. The memorized prayers also serve to shut out some of the exterior noise and helps focus one's spirit on the major events in the life of Jesus.
I’m going through this as well, as a Catholic who left. The rosary was a a part of my life growing up. I do feel deep connection to Jesus as I meditate on each mystery. The sorrow is real when meditating on the lashing or crowning. Oh my heart. I haven’t gotten back to daily rosary prayer yet. A work in progress. I love hearing what others experience. Thank you!! 😊
I realize this video has been here a year now so im sure you've grown a ton since but I'm just seeing it now and I'm so happy for you. The rosary is such a beautiful and powerful prayer. I love how you pray through the lines of the Our Father. Praying through the prayer lines has been transformative for me as well!
The Mother of God protects the life of those who honor her. She is a fierce mother who looks after the faith of her children who love and are devoted to her son!!! She works to strengthen and embolden us and keep us on the path of virtue to reach our heavenly legacy. If you read the lives of the saints, almost all recited many rosaries a day and clung to Mary's mantle for protection. God Bless you on this journey!!!
Distractions are normal. Just get back to saying the prayers and contemplating the mysteries. I offer up special intentions for every decade. It gives me great motivation to say the Rosary everyday.
Just want to add to my last comment, Catholics do not worship Mary. But we do love her and honor her. Mary does not want to be worshipped, she has said that through her many visits to many people that she is a creature from God, like you or me. She is, too me, the ultimate stage mother. Everything about Mary points to and leads to her Blessed Son. So grateful to her! ❤🙏
No of course not, the Catholics don't worship Mary... They just honor and love her...! Have you ever read in the Bible that when a man wanted to give glory to an angel of God by kneeling before the angel, man was forbidden to do so? It would be a relief for Catholics if they would study the Bible NKJV. To discover for yourself what is really in the Bible and what God teaches people about worship and to become a Born again Christian. The Catholics are the people who have heard of the gospel and then have come to believe in a cult, which is covered with a 'Christian' sauce, but misses the core of the gospel and are guided by their idol Luci F, without them realizing it.
Through the Rosary Mary brought me home to the Catholic Church, I had been baptized but fell away from the Church for years. The Rosary brought me that peace I had been seeking for so many years.
If you have a little extra time, you will likely enjoy a scriptural rosary. I always use an audio version of those so I can just pray. Also, you may want to take time to really learn the 4 sets of Mysteries first- without trying to add all the prayers. Just learn the Biblical story we're meditating on. Once you know the Mysteries, add the Our Father, Hail Mary's, and Glory Be to the Mysteries. Once you've got that flow down, add the beginning prayers: Apostles' Creed, Our Father, and 3 Hail Mary's (Faith, Hope, and Charity). Lastly- after you've gotten the beginning and the Mysteries going, add the Closing Prayers. * Always begin and end with the sign of the cross. Bless you!
Congratulations on your first recitation of the Holy Rosary. Mary likes it when you do slowly, don't worry about the struggle to meditate and remember the prayers. No one recites the rosary perfectly starting out. There's distractions and you need to be in a comfortable position. I prefer evening walks reciting the rosary, and ask for grace to recite the rosary and meditate. You are doing great. The entire rosary is in scripture. Viva Cristo Rey...🕊️✝️
Hi! I am so happy that you started feeling the mystery in the Holy Rosary of the blessed Virgin Mary. As you go through the prayer or the prayer, or should I say, as we pray each bead, we really meditate on the meaning. The true feeling comes when I don’t hasten my prayer, rather digest each word or phrase I utter to feel its meaning, like “Hail, Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus”. Especially when I am in the first joyful mystery, The Annunciation. I reflect on who blessed Mary really is. Who is she whom God chose to bear Jesus to be born and to live among men. How significant she is, how virtuous she must be, how humbling it must be for her, how honored she must be yet frightening to be called to serve God!! … and so on and so forth. I do not hurry my prayer. By the time I finish my first decade, I am now ready to reflect on … what happen during the Visitation, when she visited Sarah who was pregnant with John De Baptist… then goes the story again while meditating on each bead… I hope this helps you get more into the mystery behind the Rosary of the blessed Virgin Mary. God bless 🙏🏻🌹🌹🌹
I've been saying the rosary for years but it took me a while to realize that it's okay to let your mind wander, because the mystery and its theme can be just a starting point for your meditation and then God leads us into something that seems unrelated but He is actually teaching us about the mystery in a way we didn't expect (or even in a much more profound way). I realized I shouldn't force the meditation but just relax and do whatever felt natural, even if I just end up thinking about the problems of the day. What better way to get to know someone than through their mother!
I am just warning you that I believe your conversion will come to a point where you will feel the pull to convert because your soul longs for the Eucharist. I converted this past Easter. I pray for you because it is very difficult to be in between. God bless you in your journey and it’s beautiful to watch someone else going through these stages. I pray a scriptural rosary as well and I learn so much each time, but after your first few times you’ll get it and you will feel so much closer to Jesus. Also meditating looking at them through Mary’s eyes is another way to do it and it gets emotional sometimes. Especially for me the scourging at the pillar always gets to me.
It was 1918 and the Spanish flu pandemic engulfed the global community, killing between 25 and 50 million people. My grandmother noticed that my mother had a fever. She immediately called the town doctor, in Italy, to have her examined. The doctor told my grandmother that she would not survive the night. Mom had the Spanish flu. Grandma decided to pray to Our Lady of Pompeii for her intercession, to grant my mother a cure. The next day the doctor revisited my mother and said that, it was a miracle, the flu she had was gone. To honor Our Lady of Pompeii for the miracle received, my mother got married in the Basilica of Our Lady of Pompeii, Italy. Our Lady of Pompeii granted my mother a second miracle. I am my mother's firstborn and that second miracle, was to have me born on her feast day. The feast of Our Lady of Pompeii is the day of Our Lady of the Rosary, October 7, my birthday. Mom lived to be 99 years old. With God all things are possible. Blessed Mother of Jesus, I am Totus Tuus.🙏❤️
I recommend visually focusing on a picture of the mystery while saying the rosary. Your passion and enthusiasm for Mary is delightful to observe. Thank you for your videos.
Praying the Sorrowful Mysteries will change your heart forever. Meditating on those mysteries is humbling and eye opening for us Catholics. He loves us so much! Praying for your journey, from a cradle Catholic that prays the rosary daily 🙏🏻
I pray the Rosary everyday, and I struggle to maintain focus too. Sometimes I'm really in the zone, so to speak, and those are powerful moments, and other times I'm more easily distracted or I find myself unaware of how many HMs I've even said. While not ideal, I think praying them anyway is still a good idea. We still are taking the time to dwell on her and her wonderful Son, and, like any good mother, she's just happy you stopped by 😇
4:50 I am a cradle Catholic and I often find my mind drifting during the Rosary. But all I do then is quickly remember which mystery (biblical event in Christ’s life) I was on and return my focus to that event. Our Lord and Our Lady will not be offended, as we are after all only human. Anyway practice makes perfect, as with regular prayers, our discipline improves. May the Good Lord continue blessing you!
What a beautiful journey you are on. I am glad I found your video. My grandmother says she feels joyful when she says the joyful mysteries. Sorrowfull for sorrowful mysteries. I enjoy listening to rosary on youtube and seeing different pictures of the the specific mystery and enter the story as i pray rosary.
Good morning Nate, I’m very happy you made this video to share your experiences with us viewers. I pray that you continue on this path and hopefully to one day becomeCatholic. As I’m sure you’ve already learned in your studies of Catholicism, we have the benefit of having the church to guide our understanding of scripture and prayers. I would encourage you to do a rosary with other knowledgeable Catholics who can offer input and insight. I’ve been a Catholic all my life but I’m always learning something new and inspiring about my religion. If I could offer a second suggestion I would recommend that you research the Tilma of the Virgin of Guadalupe. I get chills every time I meditate on the miracles and the fact that you can take a trip to Mexico and see it for yourself brings tears to my eyes.
You got it! The rosary is a tool we call a “sacramental”. It can go in so many different directions. The mind will drift but it’s often the Holy Spirit nudging us go there. Sometimes He will take us to a place to linger & not pray all 5 decades. Mary’s whole gig is leading people to her Son & what that looks like is unique to each. You caught on quick! I love your open minded approach. You’re right…God is doing something! God bless you, my brother in Christ! ❤
If you haven't already, check out the Church's teaching on the Communion of Saints. The Catholic idea is that whether on this earth or the next we are all in this together and can, will, and should help each other. But don't take my word for it. Yes, there have always been those who put more importance on Mary than they should. The critical thing is what does the Church teach, people (however well intentioned) err, get confused, don't express their thoughts well ... ya know act like fallen man! Good luck, I will keep you in my prayers 🙏
I have! This was the toughest hurdle for me to get over but once I understood it it made all of Catholicism easier to swallow. Thank you for your support and prayers!
Glory to Jesus Christ. You are in the prayers of many. I would suggest you ask Our Lady for the humility to surrender to the will of God, and see what happens next. Peace be with you.
Yes, I think we can all relate, that when we first started praying the rosary it was difficult to meditate plus read the prayers ect. Once the prayers are memorized something spiritual happens! at first its hard to focus and meditate, but once the prayers are memorized, oh boy, meditating becomes not only EASY but it becomes so enhanced, so powerful! It's such a deep meditation, so moving. Tears often fall from my eyes when I'm praying to rosary - I can't wait for you to experience it! o my jesus, forgive us our sins, lead all souls to heaven especially those who are in most need of thy mercy.
Bishop Barron has beautiful rosary videos with meditations on each mystery on RUclips. I just close my eyes and sink into it. There is also the scriptural version of the rosary on RUclips. I like that one too because you are praying with scripture throughout the rosary. Beautiful.
I believe that the Lord is moving you by grace. You might want to look into Secret of the Rosary by St Louis de Montfort, which affirms categorically the biblical nature of this prayer. I not only read it but studied it and keep coming back to it for inspiration. May God bless you.
Amen! God will give you graces for praying the Rosary. It's the weapon against the devil and sin. Keep praying it! Everyday if possible. The more you pray it the better you will meditate on the Mysteries. You are correct on that we don't worship Mary but through her to Jesus. She only wants to bring us closer to her son. 🙏
Welcome HOME BRO.. 🙏. Keep praying the HOLY ROSARY... I WISH I COULD TELL YOU MY EXPERIENCE.. Awesome blessings will come , just wait n see! God bless!
The Rosary is a powerful weapon and as such, expect more than your fair share of distractions. Willfully meditate and call your mind back to the mysteries whenever it wanders off. It's ok! Momma knows and accepts all as long as you're making efforts. It's ok. As for your mind also navigating through aspects of your relationship with Christ, do not be bothered. Most times when I pray my Rosary I get holy inspiration on various things. It's like I'm being prompted to understand certain aspects of Christ, dogmas, virtues as far as they affect me in this world and beyond. It's like a divine Catechism from my Guardian Angel maybe... So many things get demystified and clear to me while praying the rosary and although I do gather my thoughts whenever I can and refocus, I never forget these holy inspirations and I do write them down mostly immediately after praying the rosary. I thank God for these graces and Momma for Her gifts and intercessions. I'm happy for you and welcome home
Great video. I’m currently diving deep into reading the Bible and deciding whether to be catholic or Protestant. My friends are Protestant but feel drawn to Catholicism.
Wow! Good for you! The Rosary brings you so much peace! Like an embrace of a Mother. I pray that the Holy Spirit just gives you the discernment you need! I have been praying the rosary along with a RUclips video for 7 years because you can go along with it. just a suggestion. Your story reminds me of Keith Nestor’s conversion. He prays the rosary every day live I think around 3pm CST. He was also a Protestant pastor with kids and he had to give up to become Catholic.
Mary is our Mother in Heaven..we ask her to pray for us..and she is perfect example how tobe a discple of Jesus. I ask her to taught me how to know and love Jesus more. When in fear anguish and anxiety of life uncertainty and trouble attack ..pray together with her to Jesus..and everything will be ok..
For the Presentation in the Temple-I call this “Simeon’s moment! I think about all his life waiting for the messiah.. and now he sees him. Imagine that joy! I think about what he said to Mary about Jesus.. and a sword will pierce her heart. What must she have thought?
On RUclips, type in Explaining the Faith Father Chris Alar. Scroll through the dozens of videos he's done on a variety of different topics that'll answer and explain a lot to you. He's a great speaker, tells it like it is, and is funny. The videos are usually about 1 - 1/2hours but they go by fast and they're so informative. They do get addicting though
You might be interested to know that Bishop Barron has each of the different mysteries of the rosary on RUclips videos. It has beautiful breathtaking art work to accompany each mystery. I fear for any Protestant who would hate the mother of Jesus, because I don't really think he would appreciate that. We all love our mothers and he is no different! 💕
It is easy to get distracted while praying the rosary. What helps me is finding the meditations with pictures. I do better with a visual, and the pictures help me to focus.
The Holy Rosary is literally powerful to help us grow in holiness and to help us defeat temptations, because of Christ Our Blessed Lord Who is the focus of the Mysteries it dwells on. The Holy Virgin, Our Mother Mary, by Her Son's decree, is the Terror of demons, who crushes the head of the serpent with her heel. By her obedience to God in her "Fiat" she loosened the chains that held us by Eve's disobedience. When she said "yes" to God, Our Saviour became Incarnate in her womb.
How's that Rosary holding up? I just purchased the same one as part of my edc. Looking forward for the diy Rosary video. Anyway, great content. Much appreciated!
I find very nice if you take a time to meditate on the prayers we say on the rosary just as you do in the our father, one I did that I normally do pray speaking to Jesus and the the our father, 3 hail Marys, the glory bead and the Fatima preyer, and the guardian angel. So like, i started realizing each line of the hail Mary was christcentric, like the Holy marry mother of God, i was do amazed to realize that when we say that we are asserting the divinity of Jesus and professing that He is God, it just helps a lot
You are doing a wonderful thing sharing this with others. Go look up Mother Angelica talking about the rosary. If you don't know Mother Angelica, get to know her! She has such a great sense of humor and she loves Our Lady. She passed away about 6(?) years ago, I'm sure she will eventually be declared a saint. Don't feel bad getting distracted, even seasoned rosary prayers get distracted, it's our nature. The more you do it, the better you become. You will come to learn that the rosary is POWERFUL, even when it's only done out of obedience. If you begin to make it part of your daily life you will be amazed at the grace in your life, your family, and your home. Not that it will make your life perfect or easy, but will give you grace. You can NEVER love Mary more than Jesus does, so don't stress about that part. If you haven't learned about Fatima or Saint Dominic, check that out! The rosary is Our Lady's psalter. Protestants usually have no trouble going to the grave of their parent, grandmother etc and talking to them. Talking to the saints is no different!
Catholic and Orthodox christians do not see veneration of Mary as taking away from honoring God, by venerating Mary, we are recognizing how God's grace, working in her life, was able to so perfectly sanctify her, and create such great good in the world through her. By admiring a piece of artwork, we are not dishonoring the artist.
I’ll definitely explore this in a later video, but I’ve since changed some of my opinions about this idea. Father Gregory Pine was particularly helpful on this subject.
I'm a small bit jealous, I struggle with the rosary and I wish I was like you and your devout subscribers, please pray for me and my prayer life. Our Blessed Mother can't hear our thoughts so always say the words, now I'm sure that Our Lord isn't letting those precious prayers go to waste. Actually no prayer is ever wasted, no matter how badly we say them 🥰 I have the rosary on my spotify and I say it while I'm working, I'm a cleaner so I have times where I'm working in different areas to my colleagues and I can get a good few decades in. Another beautiful devotion is to The Divine Mercy, please look into this absolute gift from Jesus Himself and to say the entire Divine Mercy chaplet takes only about 7 minutes, 10 if you really take your time. It's a fascinating story of Jesus's Love for us. Look up St. Faustina and The Divine Mercy and prepare for your heart to be flooded by God Himself 🥰 God bless you all and please pray for me.
I am a catholic and prayed the Rosary to Mary ever since I was a little girl, I believe she has answered my prayer many times. 17 years ago I lost my son in a tragic accident, Mother Mary was with me the whole time giving me strength and taking me through this journey with light in my soul. I chat to a lady called Natalie she speaks through the angels for guidance, which is not really what a good Catholic does. I chatted to my Priest Fr Henry and he advised me that God chooses different ways to talk to his followers, that made me feel better. Natalie lives in the Uk and I live in South Africa. On Tuesday 6th September work up decided that I want to chat to her. She replied with a time and a day, Thursday 8th SEPTEMBER 5.30pm SA time. That morning when I woke up I realised that It was Mother Mary Birthday and told my husband that I was going to spent an hour praying all mysteries of the rosary (200) offering a rose to her for every Hail Mary I prayed, which I believe happens when we pray the Hail Mary. Came 5.30pm we started our Zoom chat, we both closed our eyes and I prayed to my guardian angel, as we opened our eyes Natalie looked at me and said I have Mary by me and she says THANK YOU for your roses and she hears all your prayers. No one but my husband, Mother Mary and I knew what I did in the morning. It was incredible, over whelming and my Love for Mother Mary has grown far beyond explaining. Pray pray to Mother Mary she definitely hears all our prayers with her loving heart. Amen.
What you’re doing is perfect, to me it’s almost an adoration to Jesus without the Eucharistic host cause you’re meditating him. Catholics have a lot of novenas and devotions, part of it is obedience to the church and Jesus himself. Mother Mary has 15 promises and no doubt you will experience it in your journey. Just keep praying it everyday and you’re in store for a rewarding life.
"When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to her, 'Woman, here is your son,' and to the disciple, 'Here is your mother.' From that time on, this disciple took her into his home." - John 19:26-27 You become the beloved disciple and follow in his example by bringing Mary into your home as your mother. Mary in turn bring you closer to her Son, Jesus. The Rosary will be her way of walking with you through the Gospel, telling you all about her Beloved Son, and forming in you virtues to be more like Him. You can never love Mother Mary more than Jesus loved her. And in imitation of our Lord, aim to love her more and more every day. May the Lord bless you and keep you on your journey.
While meditating on the mysteries, I like to take a moment to relate it to my own life in some way (kind of similar to using Lectio Divina style to meditate on Scripture). For example, during the Mystery of Finding Jesus in the Temple, I ask God to help me find Him in my life and think about ways I have found Him acting in my life recently. Also, pro tip: you can find RUclips videos to pray along with. Some of them even describe the Mysteries with Scripture when they introduce each one.
ruclips.net/user/liveRwUHmYNaCxY?feature=share This is one of the talks he did on Explaining the Faith. It fits perfectly with your video. This is part 1 of 2 videos
To help you meditate on the mysteries, try the Scriptural Rosary... you'll love it! Also, when meditating on the joyful mysteries, look at how God comes to us through Mary... Amazing!
Mary has told us in private revelation to pray from the heart which means to pray slowly enough that you can meditate also on what you are saying and not just rush through it. I can tell you that after having prayed the rosary daily for several years, it is now like time talking to “mom” that is my spiritual mother. You can go to her with anything and she will always help you. You must also learn the Memorare a very powerful prayer: Remember, o most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession was left unaided…. Also, don’t want to overwhelm you, but get to know and meditate on her titles in the Litany of Loredo: my favorites, Mystical rose, Tower of David, Tower of ivory, House of gold, Ark of the covenant, Gate of heaven, Morning star, Health of the sick, Refuge of sinners, Solace of Migrants, Comfort of the afflicted, Help of Christians, Queen of Angels, Queen of Patriarchs, Queen of Prophets, Queen of Apostles, Queen of Martyrs, Queen of Confessors, Queen of Virgins, Queen of all Saints, The truth is you can never love her too much because everything you bring to her she makes beautiful and then presents it at the feet of her son.
Once you get the Hail Mary down, it will become 2nd nature. The prayers are background music while you focus on the mysteries. What helps is looking at Sacred Scripture or sacred art relevant to those mysteries while praying the decades.
We will be more deserving in receiving Jesus in the Holy Eucharist when we are not sinners with the help of the benefits of reciting and focusing on the life of Jesus in the rosary.
It is ok to be distracted. Just come back to the mystery you are meditating on and the prayers and continue. The distractions may just be God / Holy Spirit inspiring you for something necessary. Obedience is a good part of the rosary prayers devotion. . Trust that the rosary, requested by heaven often, gives us a "yard" to pray in. There are many ways to pray. The Our Father is a premium prayer. Asking the Mother of God to help bring you closer to her Son is a no brainer. For anyone who complains about Mary having an importance in a Christian's faith walk, I say "get over yourself". It is not about you. It is about what heaven asks for. Do not be a naysayer if you have not tried it nor understand it. God bless your faith journey, everyone.

Mary is the only person that can say Jesus, flesh of my flesh. Bone of my bone.
And that is VERY special
I have never thought of that! That’s so cool thank you for sharing!
True. Jesus has Mary's DNA after all. So when you look at Mary, you should see Jesus.
And after all we cost her she still loves us, because she is the Handmaid of The Lord 🥰
God bless you all.
@@eagletriggerso you just giving credit to Mary for the redemptive work of Christ.... Not even Jesus gave Mary this kind of credit... Interesting
I came to know Jesus through Mary and wow! Life changing! Mary points us to Jesus never to herself. Just like Jesus came to us through Mary we go to Him through Mary❤️
Wow powerful testimony thank you for sharing!
Wow! Praise the God. Keep it up. So happpppy for you. I rejoice with the Angels in heaven for your conversion.
Praise God,welcome to the family we need more like you on our journey .I dont know of any pastor who has accepted the truth to be disappointed about how they would manage especially those with children.God Bless.
@@sopad4629, I couldn't agree more!🎉❤
I started praying the Rosary and I noticed over time God's grace throughout my day as I feel protected and loved.
For the Joyful mysteries specifically,
1.) Annunciation - Archangel Gabriel comes to Mary.
Yes Rhonda go talk to the priest at the local church, they will find a way to get it done.
Mary magnifies The Lord!
Thank you for this...God bless you
And what is so wrong about the prayer that The Lord Jesus Christ taught His disciples: The Lord's Prayer. ???
Shouldn't all "Christians" learn this prayer and pray to The One True God and Jesus Christ?
One can never love Mary more than Jesus loves her.
We don’t worship mother but we ask her to pray for us🙏🏾🙏🏾through her inter session
Exactly!
Oh, of course, that's not idol worship.
And where does it say in the Bible that there is a mother that people are to pray to instead of directly to God? Or is this a human invention and forced upon the ignorant Catholics who have little knowledge of the Bible?
I am a lifelong Catholic and so excited to follow your spiritual path!
There is a peace that comes with saying the rosary that I, as a mere human, cannot explain. It is something you will experience on your own. God Bless! 🙏
It really is!
Thank you so much for the sweet and encouraging words! I’m excited for what God is doing in my life and on this channel!
Praying the rosary every day is my most restful time of day. It is definitely better once you get all the prayers down.
After traveling in Asia for years and feeling in tangible ways Mary’s help and comfort, I decided to pray the rosary daily. As you said, just a decade
Wow that’s super cool! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for the love and support! I’m honored you were blessed by this video!
Thank you for the suggestions I’ll check them out!
Thank you!!
It will never be possible for us to Honor Mary as much as God did by allowing our Saviour to come to us thru her! Chaire kecharitōmenē !
Praying the Rosary made me more fervent in my love for the Lord!
With Fr. Gaitley’s book? I love that. Did it last year.
Thank-you for sharing your first time with the Rosary, you are truly a blessing!
Immaculate Heart of Mary pray for us 🙏♥️
Amen!
Through the Rosary Mary brought me home to the Catholic Church, I had been baptized but fell away from the Church for years. The Rosary brought me that peace I had been seeking for so many years.
Our mother lead my whole family to the church ❤️
Luci F likes it when you do it slowly the rosary... Wake up people!
The Rosary is meditation on Scripture. So, how can Lucifer divide his own house? Can demons cast out demons?

By the time I finish my first decade, I am now ready to reflect on … what happen during the Visitation, when she visited Sarah who was pregnant with John De Baptist… then goes the story again while meditating on each bead…
I hope this helps you get more into the mystery behind the Rosary of the blessed Virgin Mary.
Best thing about catholic is holy Eucharist... many protestant church copy it but it's never the same reverence n never the same
What Protestants copy is actually blasphemy. They only pretend it’s a symbol which is unbiblical
You can never love and honor Mary more than Jesus.
To honor Our Lady of Pompeii
for the miracle received, my mother got married in the Basilica of Our Lady of Pompeii, Italy.
Welcome home brother! Watching from Panama City 🇵🇦
God bless!
The didache bible is incredible! I have it and it’s instrumental in learning about our beautiful Catholic faith. God bless you brother
It is my favorite Bible!
Thank you so much brother for sharing your journey of faith, that’s evangelization! Let’s continue to pray for one another always!
Keep up with the good work my brother in Christ.

God bless you brother

Best wishes on your journey 💖
Her soul doth magnifies the Lord.
Let the Blessed Mother form you the way she formed Jesus in her womb.
All the best to you
Great video.
Rosary is a small bible .
I like it!!
🙏💛
For the Presentation in the Temple-I call this “Simeon’s moment! I think about all his life waiting for the messiah.. and now he sees him. Imagine that joy!
I think about what he said to Mary about Jesus.. and a sword will pierce her heart. What must she have thought?
You may also invite your guardian angel and fave saint to pray with you bro 😃 im so happy for you
On RUclips, type in Explaining the Faith Father Chris Alar.
I like your chanel your so honest. One day you will convert, God’s willing.
Look up St. Faustina and The Divine Mercy and prepare for your heart to be flooded by God Himself 🥰
God bless you all and please pray for me.
You can get a Scriptural Rosary booklet that has the bible verses written out in the meditation of the mystery.
"When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to her, 'Woman, here is your son,' and to the disciple, 'Here is your mother.' From that time on, this disciple took her into his home." - John 19:26-27
You become the beloved disciple and follow in his example by bringing Mary into your home as your mother.

This is one of the talks he did on Explaining the Faith. It fits perfectly with your video. This is part 1 of 2 videos
Find the book by St. Louis de Montfort, The Secret of the Rosary. Your statements about Mary are excellent.
Fastest way to become Catholic is to pray the Rosary. Take it up and let us know how quick you converted 😁
Haha I will keep you posted if/when that happens, and let you what it was that sealed the deal!
Also, don’t want to overwhelm you, but get to know and meditate on her titles in the Litany of Loredo: my favorites, Mystical rose,
Tower of David,
Tower of ivory,
House of gold,
Ark of the covenant,
Gate of heaven,
Morning star,
Health of the sick,
Refuge of sinners,
Solace of Migrants,
Comfort of the afflicted,
Help of Christians,
Queen of Angels,
Queen of Patriarchs,
Queen of Prophets,
Queen of Apostles,
Queen of Martyrs,
Queen of Confessors,
Queen of Virgins,
Queen of all Saints,
The truth is you can never love her too much because everything you bring to her she makes beautiful and then presents it at the feet of her son.
Wow that’s amazing! Thank you for sharing! Also I will look into all of those titles!!

†TRUE AND POWERFUL CONVERSION STORY, OF A GREAT SINNER AND GREAT MIRACLES! Part II
Thank GOD for our LADY of GUADALUPE; when I visited her Shrine in Mexico in Dec. 2012, and I was suffering at the time of "Sleep Apenea" I was healed really while still there - FRARNKLY, my first intensions were to honor her! †Also, when I prayed few Rosaries to help me to quit smoking cigaretes on May 17, 1998, she answered my prayers immediately, though I was SUPER skeptical at that time, (prv 3: 5)
†Truly, when I was inspired to recite one single Rosary in December 12, 2000, I was healed from my unbelief (Jn. 14: 1) - and I tried at the time first to pray OUR FATHER, but I couldn't remember the prayer; but GOD still saved me (Jn 14:15 - 27)!
†Also During my first Rosary procession outdoors in May 13, 2001, I saw Queen of the Holy Rosary walking with us for 4-5 seconds; And she was dressed of long, dark, blue dress & absolutely attractive one, etc. etc!
†Since my conversion, I try NOT to miss attending Mass weekly or daily etc. And I pray the Devine Mercy Chaplet at 3:00pm, and I NEVER miss it.
†UNDOUBTLY, Reading & meditating on "Gospel of life" according to the daily readings is like my "daily bread" And I read the Bible from cover to cover 3 times since my conversion! - and I read the CCC as well, (Is. 55: 10 -11) and "I truely use the Bible as a guide & compass for my life". I remember very well that In the beginning of 2003 I heard VERY sweet voices for few times singing above my bed as I awake in the morning, and they continued nearly 10 seconds!
Also, I like to what some one says: every winter turns into spring. But "The fool says in his heart, "There is no God" (Ps.14:1). †Unfortunately, many "Catholics don't know what they have, and Evangelicals don't know what they are missing!"
†And I used to attend few different Evangelical Churches for few years searching for TRUTH while residing in Stockholm & they opened my eyes a LITTLE bid to the facts of faith at the time.
† God is still in the miracle buisness. And thank God for the ROSARY miracle prayer, etc.(Ps. 107:13- 14). And St. Paul said: "No l eye has not seen, no ear has heard no mind has conceived, what God has prepared for those who LOVE Him." - 1 Cor 2: 9
