    The second-gen Kwikset Kevo lets you unlock with just a touch, but the price is still offputtingly high.

    Still a great product. Prices don't matter when it comes to securing your home.

    Does it work with any phone? Even Windows Phone?

      Jason Laboy You have a windows phone? 😂

    I would disconnect that Light so it can look like normal lock.
    Change the name to like kitchen light or something.
    And no one would ever know that it's smart lock 😮
    And I'd cover the keyhole with some thing 🤔 or maybe just the whole lock so it's not out in the open

    So what is the purpose you need a phone to open same with a key I don't see any sense

    Does this work with existing deadbolts or do you have to switch the entire lock?

    • @tylerwatt12
      @tylerwatt12 7 лет назад

      it replaces the deadbolt

    • @RichardServello

      Yeah, that's how the first gen was. Which is a problem when you live in an apt and can't change the lock thread. That's why I got the inferior august smart lock.

      You should be able to swap in the pins and tumblers from your apartment deadbolt to this one. Watch a few videos on youtube and it shouldn't take more than an hour. If you screw up a locksmith can put it back together within seconds for a few bucks.

    What If someone downloads the eKey app and connects it to Bluetooth? It can open right?

    • @jug6290
      @jug6290 6 лет назад

      Aboudi Anani no. U have to open up the lock and press the sync button, after that u can share lock access to someone without opening the lock

    So if your phone is stolen, your house is open to the criminal...

    • @hcs4life21

      Kwikset (and Apple/Android) created contingency plans for this specific reason.
      Apple users either use a passcode, facial recognition or a fingerprint scanner to unlock the phone, while Android users have a passcode, dot connection, or retinal and fingerprint scanners.
      Kwikset itself allows users to activate or deactivate phone and fob locks as well as easily change the mechanical lock itself with the provided master key.
