This is a great technique for hollow forms! I haven't tried it yet, but you inspired me to give it a try! You brooch is beautiful! How did you attach the top form to the backplate? Did you rivet it?
I attached the backplate to the form using invisible rivets. They’re soldered to the top then cold connected to the backplate.
