    Today I talk about the Borresen X2 Speakers! I have had these here for the last two months and have been enjoying my time with them. In this video I compare the X2's to other price comparable speakers from Borresen (X1), Closer Acoustics (OGY and BOB), Pearl Acoustics (Sibelius), Triangle (40th Duetto) and more.
    What these speakers can do is bring the full force of all music with an effortless ease, some warmth and a huge aural soundstage. Low volume listening is amazing as well due to the fullness these speakers have in the sound.
    If you have been missing bass from your speakers, the X2's can cure this.
    Enjoy the review of the Borresen X2 speakers!

    Please try to review the Borresen C3 when it becomes available in the next month or so. Part Time Audiophile said they come close to the sound of Borresen's $100,000 bookshelf (the M1)!! Btw, those Pearl speakers are named after the famous composer Sibelius, which is pronounced suh-BAIL-ee-us 😊

    Thanks so much for this review. Very intrigued by these but enjoying a single driver similar to the Sibelius speaker right now. Really looking forward to the Qualio review. My speakers are made by the same company and while they have a unique look I’ve heard heard rave reviews about their sound.

    Thanks for your excellent videos. The bigger brother, the x3’s are phenomenal. Driven by the new Naim 200 series trio. The best so far in my room. The price difference compared to the X2’s it’s not to much and worth it if you have the proper room size. Consider it in the 10-20k price range.

    I'm surprised the Pearl Sibelius got a mention here. They are hard to find but I had the pleasure of demoing in a listening studio and they looked kind of 'simple' but were incredibly articulate and powerful. It changed my perspective on speaker designs. I would love more AB comparisons with the Pearls and other speakers.

    • @glenschneider5978
      @glenschneider5978 4 месяца назад

      The Sibelius would be very articulate for the HT vocals, and great at lower listening levels, but not really for high SPL or bass slam imo.

    Michael Borresen makes the best entry-level audiophile speakers. I have the Scansonic MB 2.5 which were designed by him and they sound phenomenal for $3,300. Both of these speakers are probably more high-end A/V speakers rather than true high-end 2-channel speakers, but a great starting point for anyone serious about audio. Nice job discussing room size vs. speaker size. Many audiophiles get speakers that are too large for their rooms. If your speakers are the right size and powered correctly, then you shouldn't need subwoofers for 2-channel unless your room is very large or small.

    Great review! But I gotta say, I find it weird that these reviewers, and I've noticed it with others as well, don't take a sec to contact the manufacturer to check how to properly pronounce the name of the product they're reviewing. Or the price, or the story behind the name. Is that odd to anyone else?

    • @HiFiHuff
      @HiFiHuff  4 месяца назад +3

      This is not a review of the Sibelius, this is a review for the Borresen. The sibleus just arrived a few days ago. I knew nothing about them and before they are reviewed, I will know the name and everything else as reviews take me weeks. Easy. Not sure why this bothers anyone as this isn’t even a review for those speakers. So what if I mis pronounce a name of a speaker I knew very little about? So what.
