- Garmin RV 1090 10 Month Review. In the video I call it a RV 1080 but it is a Garmin RV 1090. We love this GPS. Only had one wrong direction so far. We have had some trouble with the power cord but other then that it has been great.

Garmin RV 1090 not 1080 lol
Thank you for a very helpful review. We already own the RV 1090 and use it in our class A motorhome. So far it's been 100% accurate but I still double check it with Google maps.
Richmond MI here waving here. Getting ready to make this purchase and very insightful thanks for the video
You're welcome! I think you will like this unit
Might be just your plug. Mine never jiggled out. Garmin is a little funky with navigation sometimes. I always double check the route with Google Maps for a sanity check. Thanks for the update!

Nice review and your VanTrue dash cam has excellent video quality, too. Sounds like the cable plug may be amiss although probably not worth replacing since the 1090 battery will continue operating the Navigator and give a warning when power is lost - or you might try putting a dab of museum putty on the connector. Regarding getting routed through a cornfield on your way to M21, maybe that's a Garmin FEATURE tempting you to get some "free" fresh corn along the way LOL. We're in the process of replacing our Garmin 760 with the 1090 and appreciate your thoughtful review. Happy trails, Michael and Grace
Even though our coach has the factory installed Rad McNally, we prefer to use our Garmin 890 and we love it.. Never had a problem with the power cord but it has chosen what I would think, would be the long route to a destination for no apparent reason. Thanks for let us know about false location for the (M) meetup...
We love ours!. You're welcome. You don't want to end up at a corn field with your coach!
@@WhereRVStaying 😂 That would be just my luck...🤣😂😅
@@RedJaguar100Travels Lol!
nice, thanks
You're welcome!
I now have an RV. How are these Garmin receive signal. My navigator of google maps is my DROID phone signal. Do i need internet signal, do i need a cell phone signal? Do i need to buy a plan of some kind for the Garmin to receive its information?
It will run off bluetooth on your phone. If you have a good data plan you will be fine. No Garmin plans need to be purchased for this one!
What is foursquare?
Does it tell you gas stations you will fit in?
Never thought of that, I need to try it!
I have Trucker one it Better it bigger too out side Antanna my give me weights on bridges and High;s of bridges and Parkway not allowed on at all Rv;s and Semi;s Some Tunnel;s no Propane
