They’d also just played an 82 game regular season and a long postseason. For most of them they’ve been playing non stop from October through July at this point.
NBA back then way way more physical. Players for most their careers here flew commercial eating airport food, cramped seats, waiting around, instead of private luxury jets, specialized meals and way better sports medical care/treatment.
Mullen was in his prime at this time and probably the best pure shooter in the league. I would have taken Dominque over Laettner. But he always seem to get dissed. He didn't even make the top 50 when they did that a few years later and I think he deserved to be on that list.
@@ravilcn laettner was never about his skill but about giving the college ranks a symbolic nod. That's why Shaq is even discussed because shaq didn't deserve it either but if you were going to play a college guy...
Shaq was not a household name yet and they already had two big guys that at that time deserved it much more than him in Ewing and the Admiral. . Based on skills Isiah deserved to be on that team but a lot of the guys didn't want him and wouldn't have played if he was there.
@@maa7332 So? There was no way they were gonna put a 3rd center on that team. Not when you already have Ewing and Robinson and guy like Malone who could fill in there as needed. Personally they should have gone with another NBAer in my opinion as I didn't see why they felt the need to put a college player on there to begin with.
I'm amazed how much better even the commercials were back then.
I love the old commercials

You could have had any combination of the front 11 guys and they would easily win gold.
It was so cute to see the guy shaking Magic’s hand. 30:41
barkley, jhonson, P. Iwin, jordan vs argentina y el mundo . esas estrellas nacieron de un balon de Basket
Barkley was a Beast !!! 35.02
MJ: "Hey Milanesio ... you think you can guard me???? Think again!!!!! Lol!!!!!
28:40 IBM commercial. Touch screen wasn’t available yet?
Argentinians so cute about Magic 🇦🇷❤️
1:30 that commercial was cute but they never had a game that was even remotely close enough to Needing a last second shot
Barkley has more personality than the entire team combined.
I dont know magic has a personality just everyone loves that one
Gotta look laugh at commentators calling Argentina a "European team"...
You'd think "tournament of the Americas" might've been a hint.
2:00 "USA needs a basket to win" - only in your dream, kid!
post generacion dorada no saludamos a mas ee.uu , play win
Milanesio should play nba

Wonder what the Vegas odds on the Dream Team winning the Tournament was? 😆
45:23 And what i don't get how they're all walking off and around the court like they're old. They're all in their 20's besides Magic and Bird. smh

They all looked 10 years older than they were.
i wanna be like mike
I'm only a little surprised that Ginobili isn't there
15 years old at this point lol
Argentina's golden generation didn't start to take shape until 1999.
@@ericskinner2039 They start playing on the Olympic Team in that country at 15 yrs old.
GINOBILI!!!!!

That Milanesio's drive on Jordan! Also, Doug Collins, half of Argentina is better than he ever was!
Don't disrespect Doug like that. Plus MJ drive on Milanesio.
Collins was an Olympian and a NBA pro...
The commercial! We spent a billion so you feel like a Million! How about spending that money on Vets and the Homeless!
Kerry Miller - totally! It should the old, the vets, the hurt, the poor, the young, in that order.
sure, when its your money you sanctimonious piece of
Horrible looking jerseys for Argentina. Look how low the collars are. Looks like a woman's under shirt
You're right. I'm from Argentina and I hated those jerseys 🤣
I can't they put Chris Mullen on the dream Team over Dominque Wilkins WTH........
Zone breaker, underrated D

Wilkins was injured anyhow and he didn't play defense . Chris was great.

You want entertainment or results? Mullen basically never missed a shot.
Shaq and Isiah Thomas should have been on the 92 dream team.
Shaq maybe but Isiah... look how they played as team with Isiah not sure if this will happen

Isiah was at the house thinking Stockton's leg was broken because God was exposing their machinations to keep Thomas off the team.
