- Sooo we bought the Cybex Sirona S and lemme just tell you...this carseat is AMAZING. Also, this is not a sponsored video, I just really really love this car seat.
I purchased this carseat online from Bed Bath & Beyond. (I subscribed to their newsletter to get $100 off the carseat... and then I unsubscribed 🤷♀️LOL)
But here's WHY I love this carseat so much:
✔️Talking carseat. It will tell you if your car is too hot/cold for your baby. It will also tell you that you left your baby in the car if you walk away from your baby. It will ALSO tell you if your baby managed to unbuckle him/herself from their seat.
✔️360 Seat Rotation. Because I still want to use my back when I'm 50.
✔️Convertible Carseat. This seat can be used from 4 pounds - 65 pounds. This will last until baby Cash is like 10 lol
✔️Load Leg. Load leg prevents the carseat from rotating in a collision.
✔️LSP system. More safety stuff.
✔️ONE TIME installation. Since the seat rotates, you don't need to reinstall it for forward facing in the future.
✔️Reclining Seat! The seat reclines while rear facing AND forward facing.
✔️Magnetic buckle holders.
✔️Extra padding in all the right places. Baby Cash loves his car seat and this makes car rides so much more enjoyable when he doesn't mind sitting in his seat.

the 2nd best thing besides the swivel is that it has a chime that attaches to your car. When the seat is unbuckled it will set a tone off, also used to remind you the baby is in the car because when you turn the car off, the same chime goes off.

Wow, this is sooooo much different to connect than my U.K. version. Mine looks identical to yours except it’s got Ferrari emblems. I was wondering how you could need a video to install it but after seeing the way yours installs...I’m not surprised. That’s looks like a right mess around. The U.K. version has rigid metal arms that slide in and out. You simply line it up on the seat and then push it and it clicks into place and locks...takes a few seconds. I have 4 of these, 2 for each car. My 6 year old sat rear facing in his until he was 5 years old as he was still under the 18kg weight limit. He never complained of being uncomfortable and I now have a 2 year old and a 10month old in the seats. Two of my seats are the original and two are the new 2020 seat. My original seats have been in use for 6 years now so they are definitely great value for money, even with the pricey cost.

Hey love, great video, could you show the carseat installation without the use of the loading dock and just with the seatbelts, say if you were catching a uber or something.

Cash still uses the carseat to this day🥰 my mom purchased a safety first carseat and hated it since she almost threw out her shoulder putting Cash in. She ended up returning and then buying the Cybex! She loves it just as much as I do.
Great car seat. I have the newer Sirona-Z I Size. Love the modular system as the base is compatible with the infant Cloud Z seat which can also rotate on its base.

When I bought this I was not aware that the swivel feature only works in the rear facing position. So that only lasted about 14 months and now it’s back to a regular car seat that wobbles more than others. I would not recommend this car seat to others.

You def need to rear face longer. 2 is bare minimum

What a handsome little guy he’s such a great baby! Reminds me of my guy! And you guys did a good job with the tutorial. To the point. I don’t really know why a lot of people have trouble with installation. I can see why it can get intimidating but it really is just the same as any other car seat cybex has out

I haven’t found a less practical seat imo. Outside the high rear facing and forward facing weight limits, this seat felt like a dud to me. The straps make it so hard to get a kid out of the seat. I hated having to use all the effort out of my whole hand to undo the crotch buckle and the chest clip, to move the head rest or to make the seat recline (I had a cybex eternis S) and I’m now switching and getting a nuna rava. The recline looks so so much easier and the straps look easier to do and undo
I’m so excited for my hands to not hurt
Just looking at the old seat I used makes my hand hurt 😂
Have you used this forward facing yet? The tether seems that it would make the swivel feature useless in the forward position.

Hi, idk if it’s been mentioned but the toy cannot be attached to the harness, that interferes with the safety of the seat, your seat wasn’t crash tested with the toy attached to the harness and there’s no way of knowing how would it react in a crash. Great video overall, I was just reading the review of this seat on the car seats for the littles website.

got this because i wanted a car seat that kept my 1 and a half year olds head from slumping so far when he falls asleep,. It seems like a lot of manufacturer's dont seem to understand that once the baby falls asleep his "head control" is pretty much irellievent becuase he is ASLEEP.

Once your child is forward facing, the proper installation (with the tether), eliminates the swivel feature. Just bought this for my toddler and was pretty irritated to find out that the swivel won’t work for his configuration. HEADS UP!

The base should not wiggle!
The head area wiggles side to side and apparently cybex says that's normal

I think is ok to use the protector . Some brands sell the protector together with the seat

This is a great video and looks awesome! But it’s crash test result is a 4!!! I have a graco and my son hates it and this looks so much more comfy but with such a bad crash rating I guess he’ll just be uncomfortable lol
Mariah Coco You’re confusing the S model with the M model. The S model is the best in its class. It’s the first convertible car seat to have a load leg (load legs are usually made for infant car seats). Having the loading leg significantly enhances crash protection in a frontal crash. For some reason, load legs are super popular in Europe but not in the US? Hopefully other brands start catching on to this safety feature!

Rebecca Salomon I’m not sure if the chest clip is removable...but if you don’t want to use the SensorSafe, just don’t download the app. The SensorSafe is connected to your phone which sends the notifications to your car. No app = no notifications.

Just got ours today and I love it! Only question is, does your car seat wiggle a lot? I feel like it is easy to wiggle around more than it’s supposed to.

Lau Cudal I had Andres push down onto the car seat while simultaneously tightening the latch belt, it worked for us. If it’s still wiggling around, try installing it using the seatbelt method. It shouldn’t wiggle around!

This is a convertiable carseat only not a carrier carseat. so it does not detach into a stroller

I’m having such a hard time with finding a car seat that doesn’t take up too much room for the person in the front seat. How is this one with that issue? I’m 5’5 and my current car seat makes it uncomfortable for me to ride in the front when my husband drives
Honestly it is pretty bulky! In my Corolla, whoever sat in front of the car seat had to adjust their seat forward. We installed this car seat in my husbands F150 and in my Tesla model Y and there are no issues. The Corolla is pretty compact so if you have a compact car, you’ll have the same issue. I hope this is helpful🤗

U can’t install it with latch in the middle and some cars it can be hard in the middle. The safest place is where u get the best install
can this carseat be used facing forwards? my daughter doesn't like to go rear facing she hates her carseat putting it there is a nightmare im thinking of buying this so i can move her around when she gets impatient but i don't see you put it forward facing
Hi! My son is 3 and a half now and he finally sits forward facing.
We just installed ours tonight. The base feels snug but the seat itself feels a bit “wobbly” when we manually adjust it. Did you notice anything similar?

I am experiencing the same thing. I installed it with the shoulder/lap belt and the base is very snug against the back of the seat with almost no movement. The front part has a lot of side to side movement though. Have you figured out how to reduce that wiggle?
Grab the seat from the belt path with your non-dominant hand and give it a handshake. If it moves for than 1 inch in any direction- it’s too loose. On Cybex website they can set you up with a free instructor that will video call you to help get the safest install.
I’m also having this wobbly issue- not much at the base where the latch is but the seat in general. We applied a LOT of pressure to the seat while tightening the latch too. Any ideas?
We are having the same wobblyness with both the LATCH and especially the seatbelt system for securing ours. Did you find a solution?

You shouldn’t rotate it while driving, but yes you can. It rotates 360 with baby in it.

If you're thinking of travel systems those apply to infant car seats, where you can attach the car seat to a stroller. This one is a convertible car seat, they don't attach to a stroller

zain tareen Only get the Mesa if you plan on getting the Uppababy Cruz stroller or Vista stroller. If you’re going to use a different stroller, then I’d recommend buying the Cybex Sirona car seat since you can use it from newborn and up🤍

zain tareen I loveee the Cruz stroller + Mesa! It makes traveling so much easier, and when baby falls asleep in the stroller, you don’t need to take him out of the stroller and into the car because the car seat clicks into the stroller and car. I was so sad when my baby outgrew it! It made my life so much easier for the first 12 months. BUT your baby will eventually need a convertible car seat. So what I’m trying to say is...you don’t need the Mesa, but it’s nice to have. You WILL need a convertible car seat.
