    such solid advice, a lot of videos on youtube are pretty and flashy but this is straight up bread and butter. the pump fakes and combos that could be added to both of these for even more bite/contact off the defender once they get wise to these could make someone very frustrating to guard. very good starting post moves to learn

    Just be careful with the underscoop. You can easily loose the ball if there is an attentive helpside player

    Careful to not lift the left pivot foot before releasing ball from your hand. *on 1st example

      Ball must leave the hand before lifting the pivot foot.

      As long as you gather the ball after you pick up your left foot you're fine because technically you can still dribble. You just have to be careful with scooping the ball early but even so most refs won't call this a travel

    The first move can be called for a travel if you do it to fast. Make sure you’re in good standing with the ref for the night.

    The 360 hop step is also really good off of the face up and a dribble or two, especially into a jump hook

    The best post move is a post hop shot or post step back. You can back down ur defender, use ur arm to do a small push off to create separation, then step back and shoot a open jumper.

    A move I like to do is where I pretend to go for the fade away since I’m good at it but I keep both feet on the ground; only my toes. They will try to block, but I will rotate into a lay up

    I agree with the comments. Both moves are so hard to defend. The scoop is more defendable if you're disciplined enough to move your feet with hands up. The pound, spin is so tough. You need a help defender.

    I was sure that I invented the two arm scoop my freshman year. I was playing jv and scored 24 points with like 5 and 1’s. Stopped working as next year on varsity as I just wasn’t as strong as 18 year old men

    Most spin moves you have to finish off one foot for it not to be a travel. Both examples are travels.

    Move 2 will only draw you fouls if your playing in a semi pro environment. Playing at the park or in pickup won't get called very often.

    1st example was a travel. You stepped with your pivot before dribbling the ball but that move is definitely nasty
