Well for the subscribers who are here, your videos are a huge blessing at this time of year. Anytime we post, we lose subs due to bots getting cleaned out or someone realizing that our content isn’t what they thought it would be, but the ones who are left, are the ones who really love it. Your aesthetic cinema quality vlogs have been a huge comfort to our family. We are missing our fourth daughter this year and we moved to florida so we are all homesick. Videos like yours that I can enjoy at 40 years old and my little girls 3,6 and 9 like also are amazing. You make us feel so cozy and it’s not nothing. Thank you.

Don’t take it personally, I know that it’s hard. But we never know what is going on in other peoples’ lives, there are a multitude of reasons why people unsubscribed, the holidays are hard for some people and they might have unsubscribed for their own mental health. That is not your fault, they are taking care of themselves. You might loose some subscribers but will probably also gain a few, many people actually like the ‘less perfect’ videos and there are successful RUclipsrs that only do more informal videos. As the great Leonard Cohen said ‘ Ring the bells that still can ring, Forget your perfect offering, There is a crack in everything, That’s how the light gets in’

If it helps to know, youtube does a bot sweep to get rid of fake accounts routinely so that may be why you saw a big drop over a few days.

I’m a fairly new subscriber to your channel. I enjoyed a few of your previous videos but was contemplating whether to unsubscribe for the very reason that the videos, although lovely in production, did not feel authentic to real life, which is what I have been looking for in these types of vlogs. I decided to click on THIS video and enjoyed it immensely. I loved it all. THIS is the type of video I find inspiring in my own life. To see how one can spice up their ordinary life in simple ways; to relish a day at home instead of always having to-do lists or go shopping for the millionth time. Your honesty is also refreshing. And the note at the end from Charlotte was what I needed to hear. My daughter and grandchildren live overseas and I have not been able to see them in three years. It’s hard on her also to not be with family here during the holidays. So that message was so comforting to hear. Christmas can be a very difficult holiday to navigate for many and various reasons.

This was such a cozy and calm video! I love how you're trying to feel more comfortable and confident just filming life as-is and not worrying too much about the aesthetic of it all, I really love to see how happy you look just being your authentic self. Also the message from Charlotte at the end really hit close to home, this is my second Christmas that I won't be able to celebrate with my family, because my parents go away to work during the holidays, and this time around it's been really hard to come to terms with, because as Charlotte said, this time of year usually promises so much cheer and joy, and I feel guilty or "left out" for not feeling that way. But I've been trying to see the positive side of things and be grateful for everything I do have, and I know I'll be able to celebrate a late Christmas with my family soon. So happy for you and proud of you. The cooking segment was so much fun and made me hungry! My mom was a perfectionist and I learned that too. It took many years for me to recognize it in myself and while longer to let it go. In shadow work we talk about our inner critic and one exercise is to make a drawing or somehow acknowledge and visualize the inner critic/perfectionist and thank it for trying to protect us (mostly from outer criticism). Thank you for your beautiful videos. They actually are perfect. ❤

Dear sweet Morgan, your imperfections make you one of us. Of course, most of us don’t want to see the nitty-gritty of life. We all have enough of that. Your emotions your feelings help us to relate. I am one person, if not among many of your viewers, who get wrapped up in watching and all of a sudden realize I’ve been smiling the whole time. I often watch videos to escape life for a minute ( long story) and your’s are on the top of my list.

I can totally understand the anxiety around subscriber numbers fluctuating and the worries around sharing things online. I think it helps that those of us who are here really appreciate you exactly as you are, and are engaged with your content. My sister and I have had our channel for about two years now, and we just hit a big milestone of...35 subscribers! Lol. But whenever I think about "oh, how could we get more subscribers" I try to instead remember that everyone who is there is there for a reason and enjoys what we make, and also that I started the channel because I loved just recording bits of my life and putting them online--even if nobody ever watched them. My little childhood self who used to love talking into a tape recorder would be so delighted that now I have a device to make little videos of myself and put them online. I do it for little Florence and little Sarah, and everyone else just makes a good thing even better.
Morgan, everytime I watch one of your videos it's like starting a new book. It just give me the best of feelings and I am so grateful for your channel. Every video has a new story, new places, foods, animals, songs and lessons that I feel so privilege to be able to watch them♡

I can imagine that losing 200 subscribers is very tough and also upsetting, but honestly, I think your videos are just as amazing as ever and your channel is my favourite. As a more “established” influencer ( on instagram ) I lose subscribers everyday and sometimes the feedback can be overwhelming. But your last video sharing the notes and crying helped me to remember the beauty of the humans behind the work that we do. It was very touching and helped change my mentality. Thank you for sharing your vulnerability.

I cannot understand why people would unsubscribe during your Vlogmas. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEM? haha. I didn't know you did Vlogmas, I must have started following you during your gap year. Boy, I was missing out! It is the content I look forward the most on RUclips during this month now. Please don't stop these videos, f**k the algorithms. And like someone said below, this is a black box and you'll never know exactly why or how those 200 disappeared. Keep at it!
Also, have you thought about connecting the folks who called in to your Google #? You said something the other day about "whishing you could talk to each other." It might be a hassle, but you could consider creating some situation where those who called in--and also opt-in--are randomly paired with another caller. I don't know what that would yield at all but it's just a thought! (can you tell I'm a social scientist? 🙃)
Hello! I'm happy that snow came to bless you and all those yummy donuts looking so gorgeous! 😋😁... I remember our time on a Type 45 'Daring Class' warship close to the Arctic and it was snowing so hard that everyone was shoveling snow and hammering ice off our ship, bar the Captain and his officers steering the ship and warfare officers below watching out for erm, 'enemies'. The air temperature was minus 40C and we were dressed in winter clothing to withstand the terrible windchill. Still, even as ship's Doc, I loved being up at the helm working among my officers and ratings. That year just happened to be Christmas Day. 😂
