I was a stagehand in Portland for years and worked many pier shows, when I heard they booked you down there my first thought was “Oh, that’s gonna be a complete shit show. Whoever thought this would be a good idea should lose their job and be shunned by the community.”

This is True! I work as a security guard at a warehouse next to a microbrewery that sometimes hosts outdoor comedy nights. I can hear all of it over the wall. The comedians are getting cars, homeless people, trucks backing up, some people bring their dogs, it's near LAX so occasional low flying planes, and etc. It's a bad gig!
