Fortnite is free regardless. A better focus would have been that pretty much any device can play it, that is assuming it has a decent internet connection for the cloud streaming. A review should also show some downsides. Which the cloud streaming itself is the obvious downside. If you have a high latency internet, cloud gaming is probably not for you.
@@paulkalimkin9627 sure, that’s exactly one of my points, that pretty much any device can play games they could not normally play. It also doesn’t change my point that Fortnite being “free” is NOT a benefit of Luna. Fortnite is universally free.
@@enjoystuff if you have high latency internet why would you even be gaming online anyway? I live in the country and I get amazing internet. Luna works great Xbox cloud works great too
I’m kind of annoyed with myself for never considering Luna before (as someone who already has Prime). I have an ROG Ally and was looking into GeForce Now as a way to get better performance while on a desk. Luckily Luna just happened to pop up in an article that was mentioning competitors to that service.
Not to nit pick but if you have a PC can't you play any of these Luna games for free anyway? I do appreciate being able to do it on different devices is an advantage compared to just having it on PC.
The only thing I don't like about Lune is the small number of games you get as a Prime member. It's also not clear when the available games rotate, has it seems like the same games (i.e. Control and Young Souls) have been there for quite some time. It would be nice if you made a small video explaining the difference between Prime luna and Luna+ (just an idea).
Amazon Luna is too dependent on the 5gz from a WiFi router and games can't play on 2.4ghz. I also had issues with classic games like Castlevania IV as it didn't play but instead kept repeating the story line at the beginning of the game instead of just playing.
Should I purchase Ubisoft and Luna+ even if I have Amazon prime too or I don’t need it if I wanna become a competitive cloud gamer too and stream on twitch too?
You won't need Luna+ if you have a Prime membership unless you want to play from games from the Luna+ Catalog. Your prime membership includes the ability to play select games you already own from Ubisoft or GOG, ability to play games form your Ubisoft+ sub, and a small rotating selection from Prime gaming. You will also be able to use the Twitch integration to broadcast too.
@@XPfirePlayz okay and I don’t have Ubisoft or GOG and I kinda wanna play that strange horticulture it looks fun but it’s okay maybe I can buy that one buy itself
@nughmandarr9414 So, the handful of free rotation of games on Amazon Luna is free with as an Amazon Prime subscriber, but the full service of games (minus JackBox Games and GOG) are available for $9.99/mo in the U.S., unless you were grandfathered in to their beta pricing of like $6.99 like I was.... I think it's a nice service to have... I use to like a backup alternative if maybe GamePass or such doesn't have the game(s) available
any bluetooth controller will work. it's just that if you use the official Luna controller, you can set it up for "Cloud Direct," which will connect the controller directly to their servers via wi-fi, which mitigates some of the lag... I think it works great in that case... but even on bluetooth, I don't feel much of a difference
@austinc82 so, unless you're playing with the Amazon Luna controller and connecting via Cloud Direct (because the Luna Controller can technically connect via bluetooth, as well), you're going to experience SOME latency..... for me, it's never been anything game-breaking (not in the past couple of years, at least... it was way worse back during its beta phase), but you might not wanna do anything ultra competitive like a multi-player FPS or some fighting games (probably why they removed some of their fighting games that used to be on the service during launch)
@YoRAHeem damn.. I wish I hopped on board during the founder's stage... I DID grab me a mint and black one, but would have been nice to have all 4 colors whenever I'd play local multiplayer in games like Streets of Rage 4 and a few others.... RIP Stadia (curse you, Google lol)

£8.99 a month uk not bad if you want 99% free delivery on amazon goods a month plus you get top games online for free
