In the theater, something strange happened. Not one person rose early to leave before the credits began to roll. No rowdy running to the exit or noisy children clamoring to get out first. Instead, there was silence and genuine reverence. No pushing or shoving, all politely waited their turn. It was as if we were exiting a funeral. As I wiped away tears, I heard soft dobs all around me. The sound of sniffles and clearing of throats were scattered about. There was not a word spoken among us. You see, this was not just a movie. It was the closest we all will ever come to witnessing the Crucifixion of Christ in the flesh. And it humbled us all.
When I saw the movie in the theater, it was the same. No one moved. We got up to leave and nobody said anything. There was no talking. I was in tears. When I exited the theater, a news crew came up to ask me what I thought of the movie. I told him that I thought it was the most profound most deeply Moving movie I have ever seen about Jesus. Needless to say, my “was not shared with the viewers on tv. I’m guessing I didn’t follow the “guidelines”. Praise the Lord.
So true...after the movie we came out with tears and cancelled our lunch. We needed to go home and spend some time in silence & solitude meditating on the crucifixion of Jesus and how much He suffered to redeem mankind. We take our relationship with Jesus for granted...I am guilty of it not realising the price our Saviour paid.

Watched The Passion...…… I cried like a wee babe, was the hardest hitting film EVER!!!!!! I am a Roman Catholic by birth and choice, and had just recently returned to the faith after a long sabbatical. This film and the pain and horror I seen, yet pure holy LOVE affected me absolutely with out a doubt. Thank you for your self sacrifice you gave to help make this movie and thank you to the Trinity.

I worked in hospitals with very sick and sometimes dying patients .I believe that the dying process is made easier for people who has made peace with their loved ones and has come to accept their fate.Believing in Jesus Christ as their Saviour also brings peace and the possibility to look forward to Eternal life in heaven.

I cried nonstop and my body shook watching the film. Many others in the theater were weeping as well. Some got up and nearly ran out the door. I saw it through. I started drinking when I was 16. I would drink at parties, but I also started drinking alone because I was unhappy, and I was in a lot of emotional pain all the time. My mom was very aggressive when I was younger, and my brother hated her and so did I. He started hanging out with shady people, he started failing all his classes, he was never home, and my parents fought all the time. I also ran away several times. I was always trying to figure out a reason as to why I was here or what the purpose of life was. So, I started looking at different philosophies, religions, and beliefs. When I was 18 after I was hungover, I got on my knees and I prayed for the first time. I asked if God was real that he would show me he was real because I couldn’t take it anymore. I was crying when I prayed for this. At that moment I felt a presence come over me like a wind. It was barely noticeable, but it was unlike anything in my life I had experienced up until that point. I was surprised when I felt it and I remember saying “what was that?” after that experience I pretty much forgot what happened and kept partying, until my senior year when I got arrested. After my arrest, my parents lost all their trust in me and I was expelled from high school. I was told never to come back. At that time, I felt afraid and hopeless. That’s when I started looking for God, and I prayed that he would reveal himself in my life and that he would give me signs. My prayers began getting answered so consistently that I couldn’t deny that God was doing something. It was mysterious and compelling. I ended up in Church and started reading the bible hours a day. I stopped hanging out with all my other friends because they were continually getting arrested. I was able to forgive my family and myself and to ask to be forgiven. I noticed how at Church people were judgmental and how they formed cliques but were afraid to be around anyone else different from them. It increased my faith because I realized Jesus was not like that and ever since I was young, I saw people as people regardless of who they were. After a while, it’s like I could see God's presence was in my life and then it felt like he wasn’t, and then he was, and then he wasn’t. One day I woke up and felt more depressed than I ever have in my entire life. I felt like I was dying on the inside. That night I prayed, and I said, God, I don’t see my life five years from now I'm going to die Jesus save me Lord, please save me. I was weeping when I said it and when I asked him to save me, I felt a presence inside of me like a heartbeat, and I felt it once like a pulse, and I said Lord please save me and I felt it again even stronger. It was like radiance. When I woke up the next morning, I had transformed everything felt brand new like I was a kid again. All my fears and all my racing thoughts everything was gone. I looked at my hands, and I said this can’t be real it’s impossible. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I saw a different person. I started praying, and the holy spirit became entirely real to me it was washing over me and inside of me. It was total love and peace, and I heard a voice but not an audible one, it was an inner voice. It said I am with you; I love you, I will never leave you, it’s done it’s finished. That was May 3rd, 2009, and ever since then I’ve followed God, I have seen many things change and many things I know wouldn’t have changed without faith and belief. I know what it’s like to be lost to feel you have no hope. Don’t ever think you’re stuck, or life can’t change because it can. My mom is a Christian now, Its night and day. Some of the things that went away during that period were severe anxiety and my addiction to alcohol. I’ve seen and experienced so many things that are miraculous and seen how God has worked in my life. When we ask God to forgive us for what we’ve done and turn away from our sins and wrongdoings and we believe in Christ's sacrifice everything changes. His word says if we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that he died and rose again we will have eternal life but not just life after death but abundant life in the present. Our sins are erased not only past, present, and future but our burdens and fears are lifted also. Our thoughts, our minds, our hearts, our souls are transformed and united with God and we know his spirit lives in us. If you seek, pray, and knock you will know JESUS IS KING!!! HE LIVES!
Thank you for taking the time to write out your personal testimony. It is beautiful and worthy to be shared. I have a son who is addicted to heroin and benzos. He just relapsed again after a 2 month break in his 3rd treatment program. At his sober home, they had to call 911 because he was totally messed up and became non responsive. He spent 24 hours in the hospital and then released. He went back to the sober home to find the code changed on the locks. He was not allowed back in. We knew nothing about this until he landed on our doorstep. We agreed to let him stay the night if he would return to treatment. Apparently, he had drugs hidden in his stuff that we took him to get from the sober house. Because he went straight to his room, and when he came down, he was messed up. We had told him that if he used in our home, he would have to leave. He had nowhere else to go, so my husband drove him into the city and left him at a homeless shelter. He has been there a week now. We are a strong Christian family. He does not know Jesus, though. He is 32 and has lived half his life in the world of drugs. He knows nothing else. His dad and I are praying for a breakthrough. Praying for God to allow something to happen to bring him to his knees. That his eyes open to see his sin and his need for a Savior. And that God would break the enemy's chains and free him from his addictions. I would love for him to have a story to tell like yours!

The brutality of this film was on another level altogether. I remember watching it in 2004 when I was 27 and I shuddered then. 19 years later, in my mid 40's I still shudder when I watch this film.
My sister and I went and saw this movie in theaters and we could barely speak. When we left. Everyone walked out so quietly and other than hearing some sobbing. It definitely was an experience that I will never forget and I don't ever want to forget. I love Jesus Christ and I can't wait to watch the resurrection of Christ next month

I have never felt such emotion while watching any other movie as I did watching the Crucifixion. I cried throughout this movie. Jim Cavell, you were especially chosen for this amazing role, for I truly believe that the Spirit of Jesus Christ prepared you to endure the agony. You are specially used to tell God's stories. I also enjoyed your performance as Luke the physician in the story of Paul. It's the most fulfilling and rewarding life to be a chosen of the Lord. May your hunger for God never be quenched.
You are so right; years ago, I watched this movie in the theater and after the movie was finished people just sat in their seats; unable to move or speak. I sat there for a very long time; rooted to my chair, I could not move. This is indeed one of the greatest movies ever made about Christ. God used Mel Gibson to make this move and chose the right Christ filled actor to play this major role.
I have seen most movies about Yeshua but I couldn't watch this because I heard about how badly the beating made the actor look. I knew already he was beaten beyond recognition along with being naked on the cross. But I will now look for it after listening to this young man.
Oh my God I see where he changed and God started speaking through him. I had an experience like this once when I was about 16 or 17. I kept running away from home because a lot of crazy stuff was going on in my house that I don't want to go into here but I was sitting at home eating breakfast at the table and all of a sudden I remember my mom just the look in her eyes she wasn't there anymore. I truly believe that God spoke to me through her that day because I remember him saying you've been giving your mom a lot of grief but she loves you. She's cried over you a lot because she loves you. Like basically he was letting me know that he understood why I was doing what I was doing but that I needed to stop because it was killing my mother. And he said that he wanted to use me for great things but that I needed to come back to him before it was too late. That's the one thing that stuck out in my mind that I remember him saying I need you to come back to me before it's too late, before it's too late. And I knew what he meant, I knew he meant before I died and went to hell and it was too late. But that gave me chills and I remember telling her about it some years later and she had no knowledge or memory of it at all. She was like I did what? And I knew it was because it wasn't her anymore, it was God talking to me through her. But we both kind of had a wow moment on that one. Imagine being as young as like 16 or 17 and having this happen to you. Yeah you may be becoming an adult but you're still just a child really and it was a really freaky but good experience.

In the theater, something strange happened. Not one person rose early to leave before the credits began to roll. No rowdy running to the exit or noisy children clamoring to get out first. Instead, there was silence and genuine reverence. No pushing or shoving, all politely waited their turn. It was as if we were exiting a funeral. When I saw the movie in the theater, it was the same. No one moved. We got up to leave and nobody said anything. There was no talking. I was in tears. When I exited the theater, a news crew came up to ask me what I thought of the movie. I told him that I thought it was the most profound most deeply Moving movie I have ever seen about Jesus.

So true...after the movie we came out with tears and cancelled our lunch. I started drinking when I was 16. I would drink at parties, but I also started drinking alone because I was unhappy, and I was in a lot of emotional pain all the time. My mom was very aggressive when I was younger, and my brother hated her and so did I. He started hanging out with shady people, he started failing all his classes, he was never home, and my parents fought all the time. I also ran away several times. I was always trying to figure out a reason as to why I was here or what the purpose of life was. So, I started looking at different philosophies, religions, and beliefs. When I was 18 after I was hungover, I got on my knees and I prayed for the first time. I asked if God was real that he would show me he was real because I couldn’t take it anymore. I was crying when I prayed for this. At that moment I felt a presence come over me like a wind. It was barely noticeable, but it was unlike anything in my life I had experienced up until that point. I was surprised when I felt it and I remember saying “what was that?” after that experience I pretty much forgot what happened and kept partying, until my senior year when I got arrested. After my arrest, my parents lost all their trust in me and I was expelled from high school. I was told never to come back. At that time, I felt afraid and hopeless. That’s when I started looking for God, and I prayed that he would reveal himself in my life and that he would give me signs. My prayers began getting answered so consistently that I couldn’t deny that God was doing something. It was mysterious and compelling. I ended up in Church and started reading the bible hours a day. I stopped hanging out with all my other friends because they were continually getting arrested. I was able to forgive my family and myself and to ask to be forgiven. I noticed how at Church people were judgmental and how they formed cliques but were afraid to be around anyone else different from them. It increased my faith because I realized Jesus was not like that and ever since I was young, I saw people as people regardless of who they were. After a while, it’s like I could see God's presence was in my life and then it felt like he wasn’t, and then he was, and then he wasn’t. One day I woke up and felt more depressed than I ever have in my entire life. I felt like I was dying on the inside. That night I prayed, and I said, God, I don’t see my life five years from now I'm going to die Jesus save me Lord, please save me. I was weeping when I said it and when I asked him to save me, I felt a presence inside of me like a heartbeat, and I felt it once like a pulse, and I said Lord please save me and I felt it again even stronger. It was like radiance. When I woke up the next morning, I had transformed everything felt brand new like I was a kid again. All my fears and all my racing thoughts everything was gone. I looked at my hands, and I said this can’t be real it’s impossible. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I saw a different person. I started praying, and the holy spirit became entirely real to me it was washing over me and inside of me. It was total love and peace, and I heard a voice but not an audible one, it was an inner voice. It said I am with you; I love you, I will never leave you, it’s done it’s finished. That was May 3rd, 2009, and ever since then I’ve followed God, I have seen many things change and many things I know wouldn’t have changed without faith and belief. I know what it’s like to be lost to feel you have no hope. Don’t ever think you’re stuck, or life can’t change because it can. My mom is a Christian now, Its night and day. Some of the things that went away during that period were severe anxiety and my addiction to alcohol. I’ve seen and experienced so many things that are miraculous and seen how God has worked in my life. When we ask God to forgive us for what we’ve done and turn away from our sins and wrongdoings and we believe in Christ's sacrifice everything changes. His word says if we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that he died and rose again we will have eternal life but not just life after death but abundant life in the present. Our sins are erased not only past, present, and future but our burdens and fears are lifted also. Our thoughts, our minds, our hearts, our souls are transformed and united with God and we know his spirit lives in us. If you seek, pray, and knock you will know JESUS IS KING!!! HE LIVES!
Thank you for taking the time to write out your personal testimony. It is beautiful and worthy to be shared. I have a son who is addicted to heroin and benzos. He just relapsed again after a 2 month break in his 3rd treatment program. At his sober home, they had to call 911 because he was totally messed up and became non responsive. He spent 24 hours in the hospital and then released. He went back to the sober home to find the code changed on the locks. He was not allowed back in. We knew nothing about this until he landed on our doorstep. We agreed to let him stay the night if he would return to treatment. Apparently, he had drugs hidden in his stuff that we took him to get from the sober house. Because he went straight to his room, and when he came down, he was messed up. We had told him that if he used in our home, he would have to leave. He had nowhere else to go, so my husband drove him into the city and left him at a homeless shelter. He has been there a week now.
We are a strong Christian family. He does not know Jesus, though. He is 32 and has lived half his life in the world of drugs. He knows nothing else. His dad and I are praying for a breakthrough. Praying for God to allow something to happen to bring him to his knees. That his eyes open to see his sin and his need for a Savior. And that God would break the enemy's chains and free him from his addictions.
I would love for him to have a story to tell like yours!

When I watched this with mum and dad and family when it came out. There’s was nuns in the audience crying. His performance was so powerful as was the whole film. Amazing how one man can endure so much. It makes you think really deeply.

I prayed to God to heal me, not for me, because I don't deserve it, but for my little children, who were left without a mother! in exactly that day, in which I prayed, the Lord healed me! I suddenly felt the pain in my kidneys go away, as well as the dryness in my mouth (diabetes). I'm a new women now! I thank the Lord for His mercy and love for us!!

The brutality of this film was on another level altogether. I remember watching it in 2004 when I was 27 and I shuddered then. 19 years later, in my mid 40's I still shudder when I watch this film.
My sister and I went and saw this movie in theaters and we could barely speak. When we left. Everyone walked out so quietly and other than hearing some sobbing. It definitely was an experience that I will never forget and I don't ever want to forget. I love Jesus Christ and I can't wait to watch the resurrection of Christ next month
First of all I would like to thank Mel Gibson for allowing himself to be used mightly by our Creator in the making of this movie. I have never felt such emotion while watching any other movie as I did watching the Crucifixion. I cried throughout this movie. Jim Cavell, you were especially chosen for this amazing role, for I truly believe that the Spirit of Jesus Christ prepared you to endure the agony. You are specially used to tell God's stories. I also enjoyed your performance as Luke the physician in the story of Paul. It's the most fulfilling and rewarding life to be a chosen of the Lord. May your hunger for God never be quenched.
You are so right; years ago, I watched this movie in the theater and after the movie was finished people just sat in their seats; unable to move or speak. I sat there for a very long time; rooted to my chair, I could not move. This is indeed one of the greatest movies ever made about Christ. God used Mel Gibson to make this move and chose the right Christ filled actor to play this major role.
I have seen most movies about Yeshua but I couldn't watch this because I heard about how badly the beating made the actor look. I knew already he was beaten beyond recognition along with being naked on the cross. But I will now look for it after listening to this young man.

Oh my God I see where he changed and God started speaking through him. I had an experience like this once when I was about 16 or 17. I kept running away from home because a lot of crazy stuff was going on in my house that I don't want to go into here but I was sitting at home eating breakfast at the table and all of a sudden I remember my mom just the look in her eyes she wasn't there anymore. I truly believe that God spoke to me through her that day because I remember him saying you've been giving your mom a lot of grief but she loves you. She's cried over you a lot because she loves you. Like basically he was letting me know that he understood why I was doing what I was doing but that I needed to stop because it was killing my mother. And he said that he wanted to use me for great things but that I needed to come back to him before it was too late. That's the one thing that stuck out in my mind that I remember him saying I need you to come back to me before it's too late, before it's too late. And I knew what he meant, I knew he meant before I died and went to hell and it was too late. But that gave me chills and I remember telling her about it some years later and she had no knowledge or memory of it at all. She was like I did what? And I knew it was because it wasn't her anymore, it was God talking to me through her. But we both kind of had a wow moment on that one. Imagine being as young as like 16 or 17 and having this happen to you. Yeah you may be becoming an adult but you're still just a child really and it was a really freaky but good experience.
