i think i heard her say this in an interview, she's trying to keep her voice in a healthy range to maintain her vocal chord strength as a singer... i took a communication anatomy class once and things like speaking in a lazy millennial vocal fry or whisper are damaging on your voice
I wanna say, as someone who is vocally trained, speaking in a higher register can actually help protect your voice by forcing you not to speak on the bottom of your throat, or “frying your voice”. If it works for her I don’t see a problem. 🤷♀️ I was instructed to do so when I first had a professional voice teacher, it does help❤
Are you sure you just arent dynamic in your range? I can sing bass or baritone, the throat is more relaxed for this. But I can also sing tenor with the proper warm up. A la Paris. Both of their natural voices are so soothing.
It’s to protect her voice. That’s why Paris Hilton has such a great singing voice
There’s a reason why she’s such a great impressionist!
It's just normal voice changes while anyone speaks, her voice just changed tones in the word "Yeah" and then continued to be like before.
@@dandantsm6560🥱🥱🥱🥱

Bingo 🤣
guys she is changing her voice to help keep it healthy for when she is singing, vocal coaches have people do that sometimes… she isnt trying to trick anyone 😭
guys dont hate. its for her movie. when u start acting u talk like your character throughout your daily life to practice shes just practicing to get into her role.
She said she does that to preserve her singing voice.🙆♂️🙆♂️
🧢
Lol
I don’t think so.
....lol good one
i think i heard her say this in an interview, she's trying to keep her voice in a healthy range to maintain her vocal chord strength as a singer... i took a communication anatomy class once and things like speaking in a lazy millennial vocal fry or whisper are damaging on your voice
I do this whenever I'm interacting with strangers. It's almost like a protective barrier.
What do you do exactly, I kinda missed it
This is so valid, it’s code switching!
@etfluezu9161 I change my voice when interacting with strangers. I can go low to very high-pitched.
Yeah I mean why can't it always be high tone. Mine is low usually. But with strangers it's high.
@@KatDesi weird. Grow up
Her real voice is so pretty!
Dang her voice is rlly cool ngl
that's her comfort pitch... it's the sweet spot 💀
That was thinking a similar thing to this
Me when I go from talking to my friends in the car to when we pull up to the drive-thru speaker. 😅🙈
She does this to keep her range. It’s brilliant honestly and is why she can do so many voice impersonations
Her natural voice shows the power of her singing voice.
the switch up was crazyyy🙈🤣
I love her natural voice, it's so beautiful and soothing
By why did that give me chills!😮
Wow I love her regular voice too
I wanna say, as someone who is vocally trained, speaking in a higher register can actually help protect your voice by forcing you not to speak on the bottom of your throat, or “frying your voice”.
I will say once i’ve warmed up to tenor, getting back to bass range is extremely difficult. I had a little vocal training but mostly taught myself vocal control from being a weird lonely kid that loved doing impressions and mimicking sounds!
@@TheOriginalJadolph I’m not sure if it’s different because of male vs female vocal cords, but this technique is used to protect your voice for sopranos. When we ge tired or relaxed, we tend to speak on the bottom of our throats, speaking in a higher register not only prevents this, but also trains us to become comfortable in our vast range of pitch.
“Like what just happened..?”
Me as soon as her voice pitch went up 😂
Ahhh love her regular voice.
She puts this sweet girl personal on her when she wants to act nice.
This is me from talking to my coworker to a customer

i thought this was just me
Oh she *CRAZY* crazy 😅
shes Still Cat Valentine i fear 😬🥲
If ur gonna try and point something out make sure u know the reasoning behind it it’s because her vocals and she has wicked she has to film scenes so she has to keep a high pitch for so she just remembers suddenly and she been said this in a 2013 interview
her natural voice✨🥀
She is crazy I cantttttt
Crazy ? This is just her trying to protect her singing voice . It's a known technique, and she was doing it since she started

I feel this when I go from talking to a friend to a customer or jump into a Google meeting with management/clients. The old customer service voice just comes out of nowhere and she is much higher.
Um that's weird. I just speak to everyone the same because I'm not a freak.
That one girl around boys
Nah the voice change has “would you still love me if i was a guy” levels of noticeable
As a singer (male ) with a very wide range I can tell you shes doing a technique to preserve her voice ffor wocked...glinda's character is a soprano like opera kind so shes trying to maintain her head voice
Both is her natural voice. I have this too. I can actually switch back and forth to my prepubescent voice to my present voice, unconsciously or not. It depends on my mood most of the time. This is also the reason why ari is good at mimicking other artists voices.
She's good at mimicking other artists voiced bc of her vocal range, not bc she fakes a voice that's an octave higher than her actual speaking voice. 😂
😅
yupp theres something called you sitting voice and your customer service/work voice and they're very different
@@kamiiu yeppppp I have a "customer service voice" as a man, and it's way higher than my actual voice 😭 and I once had a coworker become convinced that I intentionally lower my voice, because of that. I really dont, at all. I just slip into a much higher pitch in some contexts.. THAT ONE is the unnatural voice.
The voice change hit like a truck. It’s so performative 😭
Honestly her normal voice is gorgeous
Bro her natural voice sounds... 🧈

It’s a technique that artists use to save their voice. It doesn’t strain the vocal cords as much.
We all have a customer service voice and our normal voice her singing and her talking has both voices and I love it also she does this as her job so of course she’s gonna make her customer service voice while getting publicity she wants to be collected and I respect it
She is saving her voice when singing so she talks another way
Ariana has never had an ongoing customer service retail job though, lol.

Yup... MJ did the exact same thing
The amount of pressure for us to sound like 7 yr old children is insane.
It’s just her Glinda voice 😭😭
Hey is she doing her Glinda Vickie in a normal podcast not in character or even related to the movie?? She’s also mentioned this is “just how she talks now” so she clearly doesn’t see it as a Glinda voice
I think so too. I think she might be doing re-shoots and needs to preserve the accent and speaking style just in case she has to film more scenes for the movie. I know a lot of people were saying that changing pitch helps her protect her voice from damage, etc. But she changes *accents* too, not just pitch. 😂 What’s the explanation for that?
Crazy how, Good looking + Voice = Millionaire
Not crazy. Ppl are stupid and easily entertained.
Where is my money?
She’s an actor and an incredible vocalist. Have you seen her sing Whitney Houston? You can’t go the she’s only famous bc of looks route with her
There’s a lot of good looking people with a voice that aren’t millionaires
She’s extremely talented and has millions of fans because of her music and skills….how is it crazy that she’s rich?
When you are a singer in the form that she is it’s possible to do this. It helps preserve the voice.
