Wow, My wife and I eat there at least once a week. We’ve been going there for years. My kids grew up eating there. Was the Five and dinner a few years back. It’s our go to place. Thanks for the video. They deserve the recognition.
Born in Mesa in the 1950's and lived there until 1979. The name Superstition comes from the name Superstition Mountain home of the lost dutchman mine. You can see the mountain looking east from Mesa.
Take it easy, DTM! Always try and find some rest. I love Nana Dees! If I can't eat there, I do DD or have the kids pick up, haha! The apps like onion rings and potato skins are great, all of their brekkie items and their club sammie and burgers delish! Fries are good for sure, but try their mashed potatoes next time. It doesn't taste milky. Glad you enjoyed your dinner :)
Oh WOW, this diner sure brings back memories. This one looks exceptional, it's so clean, the decor is perfect for the time period it represents, and from what you indicated, the food is excellent ... almost comfort food really. And how about those prices? It's amazingly affordable for the meal you received. Thank you Danny, you've taken me down memory lane when life was so much simpler. Great video!
I think you should do more work stories with your food reviews. Such an interesting line of work.😁 I also loved your ghost/haunted places videos. How’s your new car working out? You like it?
Living here in Manhattan, $14.49 is a great deal for a Hot Open Turkey Sandwich. Here it would cost $21+. This is a staple of diners, along with the Turkey Club Triple Decker.
I have done some movie/TV extra work. Maybe DTM has done some as well. 90% of the time is sitting around waiting to be called. Best part of the day is hitting the catering food. Pay was pretty good too for the time actually worked.
You must be in the right places, passed thru Az many times with the Toyota/Lexus off-road club headed to Utah and not once have we seen a diner like the 2 you ate at in these videos. Thx for sharing.
Regarding the Three Stooges, about five of their shorts fell into the public domain, including "Malice in the Palace," "Brideless Groom" and "Disorder in the Court." The rest are still under copyright.
Considering the price, I was rather expecting you to say the turkey had an institutional taste to it, so it is good to hear you enjoyed it and the rest of the food. I usually watch all your videos, but for whatever reason I have yet to watch the last subscriber special Q&A. Maybe you covered this question, but I am curious to know how you go about getting your work. Do "they" call you, or do you apply for the gigs?
Dust in Arizona? Say it isn't so. LOL. I live in Mesa. Been through many dust storms which can be crazy. Maybe that's the old Fudruckers location at the Superstitions Mall.
: ) GO Danny! LOVE DINERS and a Senior Menu for me : ) Breakfast is ALWAYS GOOD !! ENJOY nad get some rest soon , ALL THE BEST ! ! Cheers, and LOL, as I grew up in 50's with those Juke Boxes on tables ... Yep, I'm THAT OLD ! Lo Mun Gung : ) Cheers !
I was discharged from the Army in March 1971 at Fort Bliss Texas in the early afternoon. My young wife and I ( i was 23 and she was 21) stopped in Dallas that night znd began driving early the next norning. We got iff the internet in east Texas and went to a smalll country diner. They had those mini juje bixes at the table. I put a ciun in snd cranked up Janis Joplin. The other custimers in unison turned to stare at us. Farmers, laborers ehi apparently preferred Ferlin Husky. Still remember that all these years later.
Sometimes doing nothing at work is more tiring than actually doing something. The time stretches forever too. I almost fell off my chair when you ate your vegetables. That's a good thing for a food vlogger, even though you don't care much for veggies. Viewers want to know.
Danny you should double dip when possible and also serve as an armorer on set as well. You would certainly be better qualified than some of the recent dimwits in the news recently. Thanks for the videos
Hi Danny, authentic DINER with appropriate decor for the period/era. Black and White Photos. I was thinking that "Johnny Rockets" ripped off this 50's diner look . Might be interesting to compare the two ?
Danny, are you not worried that playing in the dust you will get Valley Fever? Valley Fever: An infection with the fungus coccidiodes. Is found in soil and causes infection when inhaled.
I also love diner food and they are correct it's in m e s a and the pronunciation that people have been giving you is correct and it's called superstition because it's in the superstition mountain ranges I believe if I'm in the same place you are. And I'm kind of remember that being a Denny's at one time if my memory hasn't slipped. Have a good time eating there and get plenty of rest
I'm in Bisbee, 4 hours south of Mesa. I grew up in Tempe, next to May-sa. I like this Mexican restaurant for lunch specials (dinners are more $$$)--Si Señor -- 600 N Alma School Rd Chandler, AZ 85224...
Maybe you should try acting. Not everyone can tell a joke with a deadpan face, like you. You could be the modern Charlie Chan. I hope you get discovered.

I was starting to get depressed without the daily videos. But, the latest video appeared and it saved my life.
I felt the same way too...miss my daily Danny the medic videos👍👍👍👍
I live in Mesa and have frequented Nana Dee's Diner. Love the patty melt and they make a great breakfast.
That diner was classic Americana. Good food at fair prices with interesting decor all around. Hope your job goes well in Arizona.
Thanks for the great service you provide for all the work you do. Nice to know there are experts like you helping others 😀
Eating at China Mama now and Dan the Medic vid is playing on the big screen and the bar. 😊
Hi Danny. Don't force yourself to put out vids. Don't burn out. We're always here for you when you decide to make these great vids for us❤❤

It's so nice that Extreme Makeover is coming back and you get to be part of it!
I ❤Diner food too. Mesa is pronounced May-sah. Get some rest DTM. 👍
Also, probably don't need that cap at any of the hour of the day in Mesa right now. Stil gotta be in the 80's at midnight, lol.
😊😊😊love diner food specially liver, bacon and onions!!
he actually pronounced it correctly in spanish
Right out of "Happy Days" lol
I always like your videos around work
I'm so old, I remember when the juke boxes at the table worked
3 plays for a quarter, at 9 5 lol

While in Mesa you should try some Native American food. Hope’s Frybread in downtown Mesa.
Hope's is awesome!! A Native Taco for lunch and a Frybread w/powdered sugar for dessert. Mmmm...
Thats Because it was a "five and Diner" a chain which tried to replicate the Classic diner
That's how I remember it. The interior looks the same. I haven't been there in about15 years. I think I need to go back.
Love the background music... nothing like an old style diner😊
Dang, turkey dinners are my favorite meal. I am totally drooling. Steve would be proud to know you ate your vegetables.
The Three Stooges come on TV Saturday night on ME TV. Watch it every week 😂.
Outstanding Video. 📹 Thank 👌 You 😅😊
I love Diners, too. I'm glad you're back at work. Just don't burn yourself out trying to make videos too
I think you should do more work stories with your food reviews. Such an interesting line of work.😁 I also loved your ghost/haunted places videos. How’s your new car working out? You like it?
car is great! just weird noise
Great video Danny!
Nana Dee's Diner looks like the perfect spot for a classic, cozy meal-hope it hits the spot!
Thank you for making a video while you’re working in Phoenix. Always something to look forward to. Don’t “work” too hard now!
Living here in Manhattan, $14.49 is a great deal for a Hot Open Turkey Sandwich. Here it would cost $21+. This is a staple of diners, along with the Turkey Club Triple Decker.
You should go to laughlin or Lake Havasu on your way back to vegas!! I loooove 50s diners
I have done some movie/TV extra work. Maybe DTM has done some as well. 90% of the time is sitting around waiting to be called. Best part of the day is hitting the catering food. Pay was pretty good too for the time actually worked.

This used to be called 5 and Diner. I actually worked at that location back in 2007.
looks like a Johnny Rockets went out of business and changed names.

it looks like “the silver diner” … in northern virginia.
DtM, you were bored at work, but that's a good thing! Glad your meal looked and sounded like it was very good. DtCateringAssistant.

Hi Danny, authentic DINER with appropriate decor for the period/era. Black and White Photos. I was thinking that "Johnny Rockets" ripped off this 50's diner look . Might be interesting to compare the two ?
Check out Downtown Scottsdale.

I think that used to be a five and diner
Did the noise in your car go away yet?
I hope so.
Nothin beats Jersey Diners
That place use be a from the restaurant chain called “five and diner”
yes!!!
Looked like good beef barley soup.
Small font.,...use camera on cellphone. Easy way to enlage print. 😊
You should try the turkey dinner at Miracle Mile restaurant in Phoenix Az. I believe it is available daily after 4:00.
Very delicious.
I had like NO time outside of work on this trip!!!
Been trying to get to Organ Stop for years.
Danny, you might not be familiar with the area. Relatively empty parking lot, almost empty diner, could be a safety issue, just be careful.
Food looked great
Back to the buffet.
How's Arizona tap water in comparison to Vegas tap water? Nothing like NY tap water❤
i havent had any, there were FREE bottled water everywhere
oh the diner water is better than vegas tap
First! 12 hours at a BUFFET! LOL. AREN'T YOU RETIRED?
Welcome me to Arizona… where the wind blows…
...and it's hot as hell.
You didn't get your roll!😱
Did nothing all day??? Hope the check cashed.... No chow fun in AZ?
wow did they kick you out of Vegas?????
That’s hard to do. But he’s doing work there in Mesa AZ so here we are seeing their eats.
I'm in Bisbee, 4 hours south of Mesa. I grew up in Tempe, next to May-sa. I like this Mexican restaurant for lunch specials (dinners are more $$$)--Si Señor -- 600 N Alma School Rd Chandler, AZ 85224...
The lunch special also comes with a free drink. Take the whole crew there!
Welcome to a regular job.
1371 n alma school chandler az pho saigon!! Delicious!!!!
Hey bro wats your job medic or construction...
thanks
How does one get a job like that when there's plenty of local paramedics,?
set medic is not the same as ems paramedic, its specialized.
@dannythemedic Did you ever work with Alec Baldwin production set?
no
He's still alive.
that diner looks like a tourist trap
Using nostalgia to rip people off?
Get some glasses Danny !!
Maybe you should try acting. Not everyone can tell a joke with a deadpan face, like you. You could be the modern Charlie Chan. I hope you get discovered.
Looks like a old Danny's
thats an old 5 and diner i think
This doesn't look like Manhattan.
👍🦃⚕
Were
You there when Alec Baldwin shot an innocent bystander in a movie set?
no
Didn't get fed on set? My meager experience with remote locations is that they feed you every two hours.
oh I’ve been eating all day, but we must make video!
@@dannythemedic LOL...I get it. I remember the Red Vines and the Brownies
