blackgem12 that was the fun behind learning about the hive. It was always the culture they had and the way they lived as a species. The Hive was fun to learn about because of that certain mysterious/scary unknown feeling to them.
Creamy Mammal bungie handled the first mission with the hive so well, I remember being absolutely fucking terrified not being able to see anything then a shit ton of thralls and acolytes attack you. And then when it turns out the moon was infested with them I just thought well shit this'll be fun. It's kinda funny thinking on it retrospectively how bungie managed to make me terrified of some of the easiest enemies to kill.
The Thrall run with ravenous resolve, the Acolytes file out and take positions, and the Knight supporting them with its Boomer boldly stands in the open, challenging the interloper to dare its wrath. Should they be bested, more Acolytes await with a Wizard, its blighted magicks slowing even the most intrepid of intruders. These are but the guardians to the entrance, however. Within lay beings so powerful and feral, even they cannot be tamed. Powers that could challenge a group of Guardians. And even further below.. lay the being that butchered an army of Guardians upon his blade. You stand on hallowed ground, Guardian. But not _your_ hallowed ground.
@@khora3845 well the darkness can terraform planets why can't it conjure a more powerful crota and before you say pyramid is crashed it was left there on purpose
Theory on why the nightmare of crota doesn’t 1 shot us (lore wise): The darkness takes our fears from the past and brings them to the present in nightmare forms, crota was 1 shoting us when we were at 400 light level, Crota was at the most 390.... now that we’re over 900, the nightmare they took from our past is now weak in comparison! It truly does make you realize just how horrifically strong guardians have gotten...
@@drifterduckygaming4646 I mean they’re kinda adding Oryx in certain elements but they need to do it intelligently because just adding Oryx back would be a cheap method of adding story and content to the game. If Oryx does come back (and not just as the boss of the Reckoning) it will have something to do with Savathûn

I always wanted this in destiny. A game mode I would call Light Eaters. You and your fire team go into the darkness and see how long you can survive agents thousands upon millions of hive. They start light then the heavy ones come out. I mean thralls first then knights and possibly ogres. Only sword wielding knights are present however. They never stop and the goal is to get the best time possible. It’s almost pitch black and the only thing you will be able to see is the green eyes through the smog. And when you die, you die for good.
I really would love to see some of Savathun's ost songs bringing back some of the OG Hive leitmotifs. Both the high-tone background sounds, and the "BEEP BEep beep...." sounds around 0:30

This song slaps but I'll still stand with the point of Bungie moving over to Activision with Destiny and then the next big hyped up game No Mans Sky during 2014 to 2015 was the big red flags of where triple A gaming was heading.
