That large glass/vase is the same one I bought for my mother about 50 years ago when I was a little girl for mother's day in France.I had saved my money for it. She had seen it in the store and I went back to buy it for her. It had cost me 50 francs which a lot of money then All my savings went into it. I have this vase/ glass now in my China cabinet.I should really use it for flowers in memory of my mom.
Oh yes, please use it. It's so beautiful and deserves to be used and enjoyed. That is a lovely memory. Thank you so much for sharing it with me. That was a lot of money 50 years ago. I wish I'd bought it now 😊
I almost squealed out loud when you said you were taking us Christmas shopping. What a gorgeous place! And by the way Louisa you have the steadiest hand; your filming is exquisite. Thank you for getting me in the festive spirit 😊
Love the antique shop ,I m from England but now live in Florida which I love but got a bit homesick looking at the little village and cute houses and the pub ,I do miss that ,x
@@elegantlyknackeredstyle it’s not the wrong side if you live in the UK. My husband went to grad school at Cranfield. Again thank so much for taking us on your outing. Uk holds special meaning. Grandfather from Scotland, grandmothers father and mother are from Cardiff and Bath respectively. Feels like coming home oddly enough. Have a great weekend.
@@kimclarke5018 I went to college in Bedford so I know Cranfield well. Mark is also from Bedfordshire, although we didn't meet during my college years. Mark's grandparents are also from Scotland 😊
This would have to be, by far, the biggest treat coming along on this antique shopping trip Louisa, thank you so much! I've never seen so many beautiful things in one place. We just don't have it so beautiful here in Australia at this time of year. I could have easily cleared out and bought the whole the shop and found a place in every corner of my home for everything...! But with my budget I would have probably just come home with the wooden spoon hahaha
I didn't even buy a wooden spoon 🤣🤣 Cathy, who owns the Boule-In and runs the Fete de Noel, has great taste and style. They go to France regularly and buy the things they love. It's always beautiful. You'd love you'd love it!
Es war reizend. Diesmal habe ich nichts gekauft. Ich warte damit, bis ich ein fertiges Schlafzimmer habe und damit werde ich mich selbst (und das Zimmer) verwöhnen.
What a treat! I had to look up “brocante” I had no idea what that was. It’s like an antique shop and booths here. I love those. So glad to got the pc working. I’m stuffed and can’t eat til Christmas probably.😂 thanks for taking us along.
In the UK we call the antique shops too. Brocante is French. The Boule-in who run the Fete de Noel, go to France regularly to buy stock and then replicate a French Brocante. It's wonderful. It always makes me want to go to France 😊
It was a treat to visit 😊 I'm glad you enjoyed it. This time, I didn't buy anything. I'm being very reserved at the moment as I want to wait until the house is more done. I was very tempted though - the bed canopy, bedside tables, pillowcases, glass vase, red tablecloth and ochre napkins were the things that tempted me the most. I know I'll go back , when they host another Brocante and at some point I can indulge 😊
I didn't get the vase, which I regret now. I am really holding off buying too many things until my house is more finished. Delicate pieces in a renovation project are likely to get damaged.

Love the house the Brocante is in and the village.Thank-you for filming it.I watch The Cotswold Explorer and villages like this are filmed.Beautiful.
Glad you enjoyed it Helen 😊 I always enjoy my visits here and couldn't not share the experience 😊
Thank you, that was fabulous! Do hope you bought that lovely vase.
I didn't! Now I'm really regretting it. My thought process was that I don't want to bring anything else into the house until it is more finished.
The beautiful forest and scenery at the beginning.
That's Thetford Forest. I always enjoy driving through it 😊
@@elegantlyknackeredstyleThank-you for filming it..glorious

I am so pleased you enjoyed it! I am relieved you think I have a steady hand. My filming always looks shaky to me.
@@elegantlyknackeredstyle not at all. You have the steadiest hand on RUclips. Others shake and wobble so much I get vertigo 😂
🤣🤣🤣

Wow, Florida! That must be the polar opposite to England. Do you ever come back to the UK?
I used to live in the UK driving was a challenge, but add in standard, and foot pedals reversed . Omg .. thank you for taking us. 😊
I always forget we drive on the 'wrong' side of the road, here in the UK 🤣🤣

Great brocante! X
It is! It's a pop-up Brocante and they always make it look so magical 😍
Loved the outdoor furniture.
French furniture is always a winner, in my opinion 😍

Had to stop there for a minute as the cars were driving on the wrong side of the road! Lol!

That was gorgeous! A real feast for the eyes. Such a beautiful village.
Did you buy anything? ❤🌲

So pretty! Certainly putting me in the Christmas mood. I was hoping to see your Pub lunch!!
I am pleased you enjoyed it. I was with a friend who was not keen on me videoing her so I kept the lunch private. Sorry to disappoint you.
Oh I need to be there!!😂😂
You'd love it!
I love going there. Did you treat yourself to the amber vase?
I didn't get the vase, which I regret now. I am really holding off buying too many things until my house is more finished. Delicate pieces in a renovation project are likely to get damaged.
