Beautiful Marta! My favourite white pen is the Sakura gelli roll, just like the one you used. I noticed with all white pens: don't push them too hard to the paper, a light touch works better. I wipe the nib every now and then with a tissue to remove the paint it might have picked up. If nothing works I dip the nib in alcohol for a few seconds, sometimes it helps! Great video, thank you!

Hey Marta....was down that I didn't get a video from u for a while...its just therapeutic to hear your voice and watch your videos....I dont have luck with them either....even my gelly rolls didn't work....any ideas guys...I tried a pebeo pen too but all I gots was muddles of paint...

🤪🤪Does anyone have a recommendation for a black permanent pen to use for doodling? I have just been using a fine tip black Sharpie ( which I love !) and notice that I can't use it at an angle at all as the tip is very flat. So I end up drawing with it straight up and down but eventually it just pushes the ink tip up inside the pen before I ever get a chance to use any of the ink. Any advice? Thank you ahead of time by the way🙂🙂

These doodle flowers look happy, like they are having fun! I can almost see them wiggle 😄. I think doodling can be like handwriting in a way that each person's doodling is unique to their own self - and the less you try to control and just be free, the more likely your own self will appear in your doodles. Marta, I think your personality is shining through quite nicely in these "happy to be alive" flowers. They also remind me of Dr. Seuss's artwork which I have enjoyed throughout most of my life.

Hi there, I have just found you why have I not seen you before.😩 Have only recently started watercolour doodling and love it. This one is brilliant and so simple to follow so thanks for making it so easy for us novices.

Well done for the exercise etc as I have been wanting to start a diet & exercise for a couple years now, I have put on a lot of weight over the last few years, & I am the heaviest I have ever been in my whole life. No matter what I keep putting on more, so I think 🤔 I’m gonna try to. Wish me luck & you go Marta ( I personally think you look amazing ) we could all be a little healthier! Me especially ! Martha these are beautiful. You shouldctrycto do zentangle on water color. I am doing it and find it absolutely relaxing and satisfying.
Start the ink flowing in the pens by doodling on your palm. The heat of your skin warms the ink on the top of the roller ball and helps it flow!!

These are GORGEOUS! I love them!! And so for white markers, hands down Posca Paints are the best!!! But now I see you have one already in your stash 😂 You can write over LITERALLY any dry medium and they come in a huge variety of nibs from teensy thin to mage fat so you have a white for every occasion!

They are SO pretty and not too expensive, just kind of difficult to get here. Ok, beautiful work my dear, as always oh oh just one more thing.... I promise. I have just started trying water colouring so these tutorial are very inspiring . I'm 79 so I have maybe left my run a bit late. I love to have a go at new ideas . Mixed media,gel plate printing scrapbooking card making are outlets for my creativity

Sakura pens dry up really quickly unless you use them regularly - mine ended up in the bin!! They are all so delicate and love the colour. Must really try some doodling

you can take the end out and blow into the pen to push the ink forward, like charging the ball with ink.

Use an alcohol wipe on the whitepens. Rub the ball nice hard. Get uniball signo white pens. Way better then gelly roll. Uniballs write great on watercolor

White acrylic pens such as Posca are good....store horizontally. xx
I like to just 'blob' on different watercolors that go well together. Random all over the page. Then i just outline the different circles or shapes i see. It ends up looking really cool. Very abstract.

Most pens are recommended to be stored either nib down or horizontally. In my experience it does seem to make a difference.

I finished mine Marta!! ❤️ I have watched this so many times ❤️ I am using index cards for my journal so the watercolor of course didn't really flow much - so I just swiped some watercolor on to approximate it ❤️
Love the doodling what a way to relax and produce amazing results. Hope you will expand this idea and show us how to incorporate doodles into maybe a card or art work. A tip for your pens.... often there is a suggestion on the packaging that they be stored laying flat horizontally rather than vertically.

I was told by my art teacher to store most pens and markers in the horizontal position. I love this so much. I need to do something like this to just be mindless and play !! No plans, just play !!
I have all the same white pens you do. Lots of people complain about these pens don’t work. Some say to warm them somehow. But yes the Posca pens do work many say. Beautiful little doodling page. Love it.

For the white Uniball pens: I take the pen apart and blow hard several times into the tube/ink chamber to get the ink to flow...no guarantees. Store them tip side down. With the gel pens, try rubbing/soaking the tip with alcohol several times and apply just a little pressure when testing it out, apply more alcohol if needed. Again..no guarantee.

While I was watching the paint flow up into the water I kept thinking turn the paper around and let some gravity play with the paint. Or blow the paint. Not that I have tried any of it yet, but getting paints and pens out for Inktober and looking for easy as that is what I’m qualified for :)

i like these doodles. i have not had the opertunity to try yet, but i am told that if your gel pen is full but not workinging you can put it tip down in warm water or use a candle to gently warm the tip and start the ink flowing again. i would be careful of the candle as it would be easy to burn the ink.
I always have difficulty with the white pens, too.

I agree with the comments that writing on your finger or thumb will help the ink in a white pen flow. I also read on a gel pen set that tapping the point firmly on a hard surface several times will help the gel pen to write. It has worked in many instances for me.

One thing all should remember is that one has to take time for oneself. Crafting as this is just allow oneself to let ones mind just relax and float like a leaf on the water. Trying new things often bring unexpected surprises and joy to the heart. You also might get Emily involved in your store as school is ending soon. She could learn about business and get salary to learn about managing her money.

Hi just watched your video. Really cute doodle art thanks. By the way a couple ideas on your white pens. Yes you should store them facing down. Two use a lighter or match and heat tip of pen that can get it going. Three uni Posca extra fine marker, white. Yes more expensive but cheaper than 3 pens that don’t work at all. 😳

Hi Marta & Family~You are correct, storing your pens point side down is the way to go. I've been doing it successfully for years. Also some brands need to be tapped, tapped, tapped to get them started. Also, if the pen is double ended, I always lay them on their side. Love this project, and you.

For the gel pens - if they don’t work - I find that if I write on my hand/finger rather than paper - it gets the ink flowing again.
I was taught to doodle on an eraser. Those big jokey ones are especially good for that.
They are beautiful. Inspires me to give it a go.

I store my whites the caps down but they never seems to work even though I bought what others have recommended. Sometimes I hold them carefully over a candles (don't melt the plastic) and they work for a while. Sometimes they work if I draw really annoyingly slow... They drive me crazy. Used posca, uni ball, jelly roll for examples. Guess I will buy a new uniball and give it a try again.
White gouache paint is often used by artists for the white highlights on watercolours.
