Just came from the main channel, and I want to apologize for being one of those voices of dissent whenever I see something I don't like. I really love this channel and the videos on it and should be appreciative of the entertainment. Also go Ben!
So long as the dissent isn’t too trolly and explains why you feel that way, I think it can be helpful for creators to realize wider trends in how viewers’ feelings of their content has changed. I mean, if you had something to say, that probably means there are others who feel the same way who just never bothered to leave a comment. Ditto on the commander appreciation too btw 😊
Grate win Shea with a nother grate build wining the game . I builded the last deck you played last game (some things my own bild) on there and swomped my play group with the cultivator and tatyova win so glade to see you win with this build as wall .
I like this show because it's a cross between casual and cedh where players explain the meanest possible strategies their decks have before the game even begins
I used to only by Dragon Shield, but the Ultimate Guard Katana sleeves have made me a convert. I also have all of my Terraforming Mars and Ark Nova cards in them.
Just came from the main channel. Never knew this existed, super stoked to check it out. I’m big into standard, I know nothing about commander so I’m ready to learn so cool magic tricks
@@consolescrub4031 I'm ashamed as that it appears I'm referring to a character in The Dark Knight Rises. I knew there was a Robin connection but it was one I shoulda forgot.
@@billberndtson Oh right, the rookie officer. Well remembered. I don't think it's a shame to know niche trivia and I'll be honest, I thought the movie was alright. It does mean that we can probably apply the Batman comparison to the cast. I feel like if Blake is Robin, CGB is his sometimes nemesis the Penguin, Shae would be the therapist with the figurative giant hammer considering how she wins games and Ben is the Riddler on account of often outthinking himself. Gina is Catwoman from all the Esika's chariot's and Rin and Seri decks.
I love the commander content, I’d watch as much of that as you’d put out. I love the standard content too, but I don’t need it all the time, a lot of it is more for inspiration and understanding of the meta. Brawl is tricky. I enjoy the content, but if it’s a commander that doesn’t appeal to me I have no drive to watch it, and might just skip the video. Doesn’t mean I don’t like it, just not as compelled to watch every one. I love the set release/evaluation videos, but I don’t always have 5 hours to watch. I realize editing that is a huge task, but I’d watch the crap out of a tailored, 1 hour set review video.
As someone who dabbles in copies, it does in fact stack! When multiple replacement effects go off at once, controlling player chooses the order they resolve and then boom
The way replacement effects work is that they all get to apply once to each event (in an order chosen by the controller of the event being replaced, but that doesn't matter here). You apply one effect, and then the other (if it's still relevant). They don't keep replacing one another (otherwise you'd make infinitely many tokens), but they do apply once each. The interaction you mention comes up when one replacement effect makes another one not applicable. Consider two effects, one saying "if a card would be put into a graveyard, exile it instead" and another saying "if a card would be put into a graveyard, instead return it to its owner's hand". Once you apply one of them, the other one no longer applies, because no card would be put into a graveyard.
Introducing Commander to Arena is probably the one thing they want to do and can't. Considering Commander is the most popular paper format, they definitely would love to have it there, as it would boost their numbers significantly. There are three obvious challenges: (1) the card pool, (2) the lack of multiplayer support and (3) the lack of in-game communication between players. #1 is obvious: if you've seen a Brawl deck, you'll see how different it looks, given both the reduced card pool and the presence of digital-only cards (which causes no small amount of controversy); solving it is definitely not trivial, because not only it takes effort to add individual cards, but they'd also have to add lots of mechanics that currently don't exist in the game. #2 is a big problem, because it requires a complete interface redesign _and_ making what's very likely to be massive changes in the server to support this, not to mention support for all the peculiarities that multiplayer adds to the gameplay itself (e.g., priority passing through more than two players). And while #3 might not seem too relevant, the truth is that multiplayer games where you cannot communicate with other players would most likely feel extremely alien and destroy much of the strategy that comes with them.
random opinion: would you guys like to brew budget decks? if it is just me i apologize, but it gets boring seeing same cards in every deck you guys build. Mana drain, mana crypt, cyclonic rift and smoldering tithe in every deck that allows them...
uh-oh, bad idea blake. now every time you play any generically good card, an annoying vocal minority are gonna be all "hey, you said you were done with spike blake!"
Blake: “I barely make it into the Millennial generation”
Also Blake: Wearing an ATLA shirt, has a StarCraft tattoo, and a Harry Potter hat
He might be younger than he looks. All three of those things are pretty iconic now.
It’s not like he’s wearing a Talespin hat.
That's a rick and morty hat.

Yep CGB is a gem and we are thankful for him sharing all his content with us
Naw Ben that was fun I agree with this play style chaos is better 🎉
Dig Bick Energy
The "scalable" pun - BANGER
I found this channel about a month ago, and I’m so happy that I get to see continued commander gameplay.
Love Ben deciding to just let chaos reign.
That pact of negation was a smooth brain play 😂
Ben is always making everything worse even for himself 😂
Assuming Ben just needed to leave early that day lmao
This game was A LOT of fun to watch. I hope it was double the fun to play it. Props to Ben, of course, for the added chaos :D
Ben is not just the agent of chaos, but the coolest when the consequences happen.
Best Non Command Zone Commander show IMO. Look forward to seeing a new episode every Sunday. Keep em coming!!!
Really enjoying these post-credit scenes
28:47 great Independence day line!
Ben's pact of negation was one of the funniest things I saw this year hahahahahaha
I'd also love to see Blake just doing different Calendar decks all year (and somehow being beaten to getting a calendar win by Gina)
Shea singing Linkin Park was the highlight of this video
Grate win Shea with a nother grate build wining the game . I builded the last deck you played last game (some things my own bild) on there and swomped my play group with the cultivator and tatyova win so glade to see you win with this build as wall .
That cyclonic rift could have been a sweet pact of negation target. If only someone had one.
SHAEE i APROVE,,,a deck of my own heart, this is absolutly amazing and hilarious to see
I like this show because it's a cross between casual and cedh where players explain the meanest possible strategies their decks have before the game even begins
i love this show its so pleasant and fun and feels real and honest
Great game as always guys.
Ben, don't feed the snakes 🐍 😂
Shae popping off. Ben: "I got you, Girl!"
Looking forward to devouring more content now I know this exists. Love the genuine fun between... Friends? Enemies? Frenemies? Yeah that works.
Just a thought, maybe when we have a really short game, the crew could play another?
Love the content and enjoy every game. This is a great pod.
This commander gameplay content is awesome please keep it going!!!!!
I used to only by Dragon Shield, but the Ultimate Guard Katana sleeves have made me a convert. I also have all of my Terraforming Mars and Ark Nova cards in them.
Watching these in reverse: I see Ben with the millennium calendar and know he lost. :D
Ohh, the icepack at the end!!
Awesome to see Ben back!!!
“Gotta Keeeeep Cooooooool!!!” - ice pack

ooh excited for this. i just bought the witch king set and have a brew i'm working on at the moment
Blake with the phones comment got me in the feels :D
Came for the main channel glad to see more CGB content
The change I noticed is that CGB brushed his hair. Nice job!
Ben: "I thought this was 2-headed giant guys..."
Everyone else is playing power magic , but Blake is playing ultra fair rules of cool !
where'd that Ice Pack come from?!
Fun game! Love you guys ❤
05:14 Jonny Blake was one of the Robins, right?
Tim Drake was one of the Robins from DC. That said, Johnny Blaze was the original Marvel Ghost Rider.

@@consolescrub4031 They need to start adding an occasional guest so we can comtinue. I'm thinking Crim for the Joker.
Someone needs to meme the cgb face that shows up at the end in the outtakes ASAP 😅
That Pact on Mana Drain 🤡
Awesome plays

Koma is my most favorite card in all of Magic. You either die or win after playing him.
Happy watching someone win other than CGB... is that bad?
love the games, keep them coming!
Sometimes Ben just wants to see the world burn....
Does shea’s commander ability stack, it says twice instead so coping twin-casters shouldn’t would do anything since ability is a replacement affect

It took me 60 minutes to understand the 'hour counters" joke. 😝
I love your shirt, Blake. And your face. And your SOUL. And your fingernails.
Would love to to see a brew of Sophia, dogged detective
I love you guys. That is all.
Well that was something. 🐍🐍🐍
I like the spoilers in the title. It lets me know which videos not to watch, like the extra turns episode.
I have a Xyris group hug deck so go Ben.
Who needs Craterhoof?
Ben is a cool guy
🎉
the best of friends
Some men just want to watch the world burn
You definitely would have to be friends to allow CGB to do the degenerate things he does week after week 🤣
Nice game
Replying to CGB's comment about slight change
Shea tied her hair up!!
Worst possible millennium calendar deck needs to include "all will be one".
Changes acknowledge
Go Shea
also since when is CGB the only player at the table with NO blue mana
blake never misses
Is Gina your wife CGB?
this is so much better then standard.. why wizards dont introduce this in arena ..O M G .....
Because arena wasn't built with multiplayer in mind. It's really not that hard to understand

There are already creators in that space no need for more of it here

Ben pact was bad move
And you need to pay tow blue mana in your upkeep
Annoying. Alquist’s deck never got to do anything and was behind the whole time.
CGB making fun of Blake for being a millennial when CGB is a certified boomer
first!!!!
it's 2024 and there are still people commenting "first" on youtube videos smh
But but but but...... Why is Shea not in the old space?? Ben looks strange next to CGB......... ARGH. Make it go away he he he
Haven't they changed seating arrangements multiple times?
Simic 🤢🤮
Ben is just a simp for Shea not only this episode🙄
Yeah I just started watching this, is he always like that? 😂
