This part really portrays the same situations in China. Many women are trying to gain independence because of family members playing favourites between sons and daughters. The drama focused a lot about women independence in a real world where women are looked down because of gender. Many traditional family still holds this mindset that men are superior then women but now, it is not true anymore. Many women are capable and even better than men. As a working female adult, it is sad to see male co-workers degrading female co-workers in the working world because of gender. TT

I don't think this is sexism per se. It is straight up abuse. The mother is intimidated by the son and perhaps father too. She turns to her daughter to play hero in all situations. Favoritism indeed was a thing, but I would call this abuse and weak parents. They cannot reign in their useless boy.
I knew his mother would feel that way. I am glad it’s over for her but she still has a lot to learn.
One of the few Chinese dramas worth watching. From the actors to the story line. And I love how Andi's little sister became a gangster in order to help her oppressed neighbor 😊

And them guys wearing all that blk from head to toe. Never knew how intimidating blk looks. hahaha I'm still laughing, That is what we call street smarts😂.. She mines me of a cat when you first see her your like such a pretty innocent gently kitty. But after awhile this lion comes out of nowhere ready to take you on and correct you. 😂
