It's hilarious watching these Canada hating bozos argue over who to blame for the Rondón goal without even mentioning that Venezuela only got that opportunity to score because the ref didn't card Romo when he interfered with the throw-in before the goal.
Such biased announcing. Larin had a quick throw with the goalie 30 yards out of the net and got the ball ripped out of his hands with no yellow card. No mention of that lol but when pulisic doesn't get his hand shake after the game it's national news
It still wouldn't have been a free kick 😂 so I don't know wtf you people keep whining about. You all sound like the Canadians complaining the whole match.
Pulisic, Mckinney, Richards, A. Robinson, Bolugon, Cardozo, Adams, Wright, Sargent, CCV, Dest are some of the greatest contributors to their Club squads when healthy. It's extremely bias to say that they are a team of bench warmers.
Embarrasing coverage. All about what Venezuela didnt do and a Canadian mistake that led to a goal. American soccer is where it is largely because the arrows are pointing in too many directions... too many experts, too many opinions, no cohesion. Blind with bias.
2 of these panelists are useless. Keep Hercules Gomez who is the only rational one there, and being from Mexico he doesn't buy into the BS American talking points that a win = the Rookie screwed up. "Rookies have to play like experts" -- Yeah right. Such nonsense.
The guy on the right's argument is in flames and he's trying to save face. He's so full of jealousy he can barely think straight. Marsch did not tell his goal-keeper to be 10 yds off the mark, but to play aggressively. This same commentator claimed Canada needed to improve its penalty kicks right after they won ON PENALTY KICKS.
Inter Milan, Celtic, some championship teams. The MLS contingent are pretty well on the bench aside from shaffleburg and Crepeau and I wager both will be in Europe this fall.
Herc is the only one who's worth listening to on this panel. The rest are US homers to the extent that I actually feel sorry for the Americans who have to listen to this garbage. They bring nothing of value and have zero footballing insight whatsover. What a joke panel.
When the media always gives credit to USMNT and say almost all their players play in Europe and carry on etc...then you have to give credit to Canada and most of their players playing in MLS...yet MLS haters will never give MLS any credit..by a miracle if Canada beats Argentina...there will still be deafening silence about MLS
This is a great point, whether or not they pull off the miracle of beating Argentina. Even putting up a good fight is a success for Canada and MLS (and their coach)
You have nothing to talk about as far as the US team goes, yet you can berate Jesse Marshe for his coaching. Why not admit that the Canadian Team has heart and desire unlike the US. team which certainly did not. Canada might not beat Argentina but they have already earned the worlds respect. Unlike the American team. which right now seem to be going nowhere.
I think the panel is missing an integral point. Yes, the MLS players are in a league viewed as inferior to the top European leagues, but playing consistently and being "in form" is vital. For example, the US starting XI are at top European clubs but their contributions (ie. minutes played) does not put them at the level they should be.
keller had an absolute piss take, one their goalkeeper came in and disrupted a throw in which is a clear yellow, second this caught them off guard which caused crepeau to be further up. Where keller has an awful take is expecting a keeper to be on his line all the time instead of expecting a ref to properly officiate a game
How closely do these so-called analysts watch teams? Obviously, not closely enough, especially when it comes to a "dismissive" American pundit. Shaffelburg did not come in to the Canadian team to replace Tajon Buchanan. Buchanan was struggling to get first team time. Shaffelburg came into the side to replace Liam Millar. Essentially, the two switched places - Shaffelburg as an impact sub who came on for a tiring Millar. I know you Americans don't really want to talk about Les Rouges, but for god's sake, do your homework before commenting and showing how little you actually know about your neighbours to the north!
Why is the logo here in this video have US and Mexico logo on the scarf that says Futbol Americas? Did Copa America tourney play in Mexico as well as the US?
I’m an American, but it fills my heart to see this Canadian team do so well. They remind me of the US team before this current generation of European players. They have a lot to prove and nothing to lose. Scrappy, but play with a lot of heart. Canada feels like our little brother, I’d hate to lose to them, but them doing well elevates all of Concacaf.
@DazzledBanana, I was with you all the way until that "little brother" comment. The truth is that when we look at your messed up soccer federation, your awful gun laws & ridiculous # of mass murders; Your terrible medical care situation; the crazy political divide etc... we actually feel much more like the mature older brother.
Good thing USA has an exorbitant amount of money and facilities and has never been able to put a good and successful team together. Amazing job Canada, you have been playing how you should play in the world stage.
I feel the core of Canada isn't from their MLS strength..... Davies is absolutely elite. David and Larin are both high level players in their respective leagues. Eustaquio is one of Porto's main starters.
Randomperson, yes & Buchanan plays for Inter Milan; Johnston stars with Celtic & Cornelius played very well this year with Malmo in the Swedish league. Not sure why they are labelling Canada as an MLS team here...
Herc stated the core strength of the Canadian was the familiarity of the players with one another. Well, the US players have been together under Berhalter for 5 years yet don't show similar levels of cohesion.
These MLS players all are in form playing quality minutes with their MLS clubs compared to USMNT players who are not getting quality minutes with European clubs. That is the difference why USA was eliminated from Copa America.
the majority of the starting 11 is not playing in the MLS and most of the subs used aren't as well. Yes MLS is showcased in the Canadian side but it's very much still european
Imo if Jesse marshe had coach the usmnt . The usmnt will not had played they way Canada had played against Venezuela. Usmnt players have no grit. Always looking confused in the pitch
THing I noticed was Crepeau, when he realized he was in trouble, first back-pedalled for a bit, then turned around and ran .. if he had turned and ran from the start he would have been back in time.
Many of the top soccer teams play a safe disciplined style relying on opposition mistakes or lack of scoring. If they should fall behind, they can open up and recover quickly. That means, these teams are very vulnerable once other nations catch up.
The usmnt players aboard have showed time and time again they don’t belong in the leagues they take part in, don’t belong on the national team roster and Weston in particular looks like he genuinely doesn’t even like to play the game at all. Robinson and Pulisic are the only players that start that I would argue are successful at club level. And Haji Wright along with Malik Tillman should either start or sub on every single game because they are the other successful players abroad.
The refereeing wasn't terrible. This is what CONMEBOL refereeing is like. The referees will try to avoid giving yellows and reds as much as they possibly can but they are okay with giving fouls and free kicks. CONCACAF and UEFA region refereeing have their own quirks too. Here's the big point I'm trying to make. The referees will be refereeing like this for the rest of the tournament. It's up to all teams to live with it and adjust accordingly.
OttawaRocks, what you just described is terrible Reffing! Listen, it's one thing to make mistakes; but to be biased, or to purposely ignore the real rules, is inexcusable. Just because we can expect the crappy Reffing to continue for the rest of the tournament, sure as hell doesn't make it right. Yes, CONCACAF Reffing is poor too. This may be worse!
@@jrcanuck1 I agree that some if not many decisions haven't been right. And in fact, those issues can be addressed over the long term with CONMEBOL and/or FIFA and/or CONCACAF. However, for the near term, i.e., for this tournament, CanMT has to persist through the bad decisions and play through them. If they let the refereeing get to them emotionally then they will indeed lose. It is imperative Canada does not mentally check out and the good news, from what we see so far, they have indeed been mentally tough while enduring all the refereeing crap.
Casey is partially right about the bad goal. He’s not accounting for Canada using their keeper as a sweeper keeper, as he never had the skill and athleticism to be one, and it was less common in his time. Bombito screwed up and also Canada should have had one more defender.
Jhamdan, try look into what Marsch actually said before you throw around groundless, quite frankly foolish insults. Marsch is a very intelligent man & a very good & experienced coach. He obviously didn't tell Crepeau to foolishly just move up & battle strikers in the midfield. He is always discussing tactics & strategies.

GOOD. And US got elliminated in the group stage with their European superstars lmao. Berhalther and the USMNT is hot garbage and will stay that way until USSF does a complete overhaul and remove all their buddies and backscratchers.
Hurc is totally right in the arguement. Bombito should have done a lot more in that instance. Max is following orders and should that ball have moved differently we would be praise Max for coming out and challenging Rondon before he had a chance to make a play. As it is rondon got the better of Bombito and the ball. A conservative coach would of had his goalie in the wickets. Think of all the huge save Max had against Argentina because he came out and challenged. The others are expecting Max to have foresight and to read the play before it’s happened. As soon as Max realized Bombito was beaten he was running back to defend. Can’t always read the play so well even for a well seasoned guy especially one taking chances
Marsh style always plays best against best teams. Not saying they’ll win but being aggressive and going for it instead of parking the bus it played well in premier league maybe not in results but you’ve got a punchers chance. It could be 4-3 or 5-2 it’s not going to be low scoring
Canadians might be the worst fanbase in this Copa. Grow up watch soccer from around the world and stop complaining like little kids. You have one good tournament and now yall think you run shit? And thats with me rooting for Canada in the past and i do agree that the panel should have focused on Canada instead of the U.S.
Gl0bal7474, true, but there are no mid tier players on Canada's starting 11 roster. Most of them play successfully in Europe & the ones who don't (Shaffelburg, Bombito & Crepeau), have been excellent in this tournament & probably will next season.
@@jrcanuck1 compared to the starting squads from Colombia, Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil and Ecuador, most CONCACAF starters are certainly mid-tier. (besides Davies, Pulisic, and maybe a healthy Buchanan)
Canada advance to Copa semi’s despite having 13 MLS players. They’re there due to strong team unity and mental strength. Something the US was lacking. Canada are playing to their strengths, not trying to be something they’re not. They’re playing a pragmatic style which better suits tournament football. The US seem to be trying to replicate club football which doesn’t work at international level, esp if you don’t have the players.
Not that any of you (or your staff) will read this, but there should have been a yellow card on the Venezuelan keeper and a stoppage for the referee to record/show the card. That was why Crepeau was up high. As for Mr. Keller, not giving the chance for anyone to show that they have learned from a mistake is very harsh. If it’s a matter of filling your boots, go ahead. I do remember a certain Tottenham keeper missing a back pass that ended up in his goal in a friendly with FC Copenhagen in Gothenburg in 2004. I’m sure he learned his lesson. 😉
Americans acting like the mad rapper having to talk about canada lmao except Hercules Gomez, all the respect in the world for that man. He played for Toronto FC, he's spent time in Canada, he's seen our program struggle to get off the ground and now he is enjoying watching those struggles turn into this fruition. Also one thing that needs to be said. having 11 better players dosent mean you play better. if 11 players of lower caliber can play a perfect game TOGETHOR, they can beat a much better opponent. You see it in the peru, panama, venezuela and canada squads. being better on paper or in salary means nothing.
TheManInTheRing, I agree with everything you said, except for the fact that I would take Canada's top 8 players (Davies, David, Larin, Buchanan, Shaffelburg, Eustaquio, Kone & Johnston) over the U.S. top 8 any day & Canada has the better keeper in Crepeau too. Not to mention the fact that Canada has several young players who also have a very bright future, such as Bombito & Cornelius & several players on their bench too.
@@jrcanuck1 I find listening to american football commentary so caustic because they believe they should win, they look at the incomes, leagues, and this expectation to win is just so caustic. Canada dosent do that
And if we want even more MLS players to advance in these tournaments then we need to take Alexi Lalas' advice and get out of CONCACAF as soon as possible and find a confederation with more talent, and harder teams to play against.

It’s what you’ve done lately that matters. Go Canada and win, Berhalter sucks.
Not really competent to force GK to go away from net in embarrassing Venezuela goal
Shaffleburg (MLS) stepped into Millar's role (Championship), not Buchanan (serie A). Laryea (also MLS) stepped into Buchanan's role. 4 of Canada's last XI are MLSers vs the usual 2.
The Venezuelan gk slapping the ball out of the Canadian players hands should’ve been a foul or a card and that’s another case of conmebol refs being biased against concacaf teams
It's a bit Messy at times, but we should applaud a team and a coach that plays with a lot of heart and intensity.
Hurray for Jesse Marsch and his squad!
That’s right

USMT's European players are mostly warming benches
Pulisic, Mckinney, Richards, A. Robinson, Bolugon, Cardozo, Adams, Wright, Sargent, CCV, Dest are some of the greatest contributors to their Club squads when healthy. It's extremely bias to say that they are a team of bench warmers.
Embarrasing coverage. All about what Venezuela didnt do and a Canadian mistake that led to a goal. American soccer is where it is largely because the arrows are pointing in too many directions... too many experts, too many opinions, no cohesion. Blind with bias.
Glad to see so much energy about this goal and everyone is right on the panel. Canada is just having fun at this moment. You live to learn.
Yes but with starters from Bayern, Porto and Lille..all CL teams...US doesn't have that
👁👁
Inter Milan, Celtic, some championship teams. The MLS contingent are pretty well on the bench aside from shaffleburg and Crepeau and I wager both will be in Europe this fall.
Herc is the only one who's worth listening to on this panel. The rest are US homers to the extent that I actually feel sorry for the Americans who have to listen to this garbage. They bring nothing of value and have zero footballing insight whatsover. What a joke panel.
most of their starting roster play on big clubs in Europe. Don't let the media fool you as usual.
Did you watch the whole play? The bias ref should have called a yellow!
This analysis of canada is literally just them talking about the USA team
When the media always gives credit to USMNT and say almost all their players play in Europe and carry on etc...then you have to give credit to Canada and most of their players playing in MLS...yet MLS haters will never give MLS any credit..by a miracle if Canada beats Argentina...there will still be deafening silence about MLS
This is a great point, whether or not they pull off the miracle of beating Argentina. Even putting up a good fight is a success for Canada and MLS (and their coach)
lol, MLS has been the best thing to ever happen to concacaf teams that aren't usa and mexico. 😅
Facts bro!
Guys, we may have 13 MLS players but our starting 11 and some subs are almost all playing in Europe.
Canada should try to win it without any fear of Argentina
I think the panel is missing an integral point. Yes, the MLS players are in a league viewed as inferior to the top European leagues, but playing consistently and being "in form" is vital. For example, the US starting XI are at top European clubs but their contributions (ie. minutes played) does not put them at the level they should be.
Les go CANADA 🇨🇦 🍁⚽️🍁🤙
Didn't Canada move forward? OMG!!
good to see herculez improving alot in his analysis, good to listen to man keep it up
I have a feeling some of those MLS players will be going on to bigger leagues soon.
keller had an absolute piss take, one their goalkeeper came in and disrupted a throw in which is a clear yellow, second this caught them off guard which caused crepeau to be further up.
They should have Argentina’s and Brazil’s Flags instead!!
dude keller and ali are bringing down the energy of your show
MLS is growing they have world class athletes
And still its the most boring league in the world
I’m an American, but it fills my heart to see this Canadian team do so well.
@@jrcanuck1 I was just talkin about the soccer teams lil homie…
I like Kasey, but he doesn't fit in. Take your tie off bud. Give honest opinions. Even about your buddies or you shouldn't be in this business.
Yeah you can tell they hate that they kind of have to adopt and talk about Canada because America’s team sucks.
Mmmhh that's an excuse
Shoving the defender in the back to score a goal doesn’t hurt either.
Too bad there is so little soccer coverage in the US that we have to listen to horrible takes from Hercules Gomez
the majority of the starting 11 is not playing in the MLS and most of the subs used aren't as well. Yes MLS is showcased in the Canadian side but it's very much still european
Imo if Jesse marshe had coach the usmnt . The usmnt will not had played they way Canada had played against Venezuela. Usmnt players have no grit. Always looking confused in the pitch
What embarrassing analysis. Canada team is way better than the America team get over it
They're not soft like the current crop of US players.
THing I noticed was Crepeau, when he realized he was in trouble, first back-pedalled for a bit, then turned around and ran .. if he had turned and ran from the start he would have been back in time.
Bold guy talking shit
Which one is bold?
How's the US team doing ?
Many of the top soccer teams play a safe disciplined style relying on opposition mistakes or lack of scoring. If they should fall behind, they can open up and recover quickly. That means, these teams are very vulnerable once other nations catch up.
😂 I watched the game... It was easily south American Sunday league level.
Keller is not enjoying the success Jesse Marsch is having...
You better recognize!!!
Buffoons lol, this team is still figuring out its starting 11 idk what this experience playing together is.
Shaffelburg did not replace Buchanan last game. He started against Chile, before Buchanan got injured. Whatever fits your fake narratives i guess.
Casey is partially right about the bad goal. He’s not accounting for Canada using their keeper as a sweeper keeper, as he never had the skill and athleticism to be one, and it was less common in his time. Bombito screwed up and also Canada should have had one more defender.
Shafferburg reminds me of Willy Gnoto who came on the field and was instrumental to Leeds beating Liverpool at Andfield!!!!
Andfield? Ffs.

Marsch is a very intelligent man & a very good & experienced coach. He obviously didn't tell Crepeau to foolishly just move up & battle strikers in the midfield. He is always discussing tactics & strategies.

Good lord, at last the woman covered her tatoos...bravo
WOW ITS ALMOST LIKE HAVING A GOOD COACH CAN GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR PLAYERS
Marsh style always plays best against best teams. Not saying they’ll win but being aggressive and going for it instead of parking the bus it played well in premier league maybe not in results but you’ve got a punchers chance. It could be 4-3 or 5-2 it’s not going to be low scoring

good coaches can maximize the output from mid-tier players
Gl0bal7474, true, but there are no mid tier players on Canada's starting 11 roster. Most of them play successfully in Europe & the ones who don't (Shaffelburg, Bombito & Crepeau), have been excellent in this tournament & probably will next season.
@@jrcanuck1 I would not say Bombito has been excellent in this tourney. See Rondon's goal for example
