Excellent! I am not a 'learn from a video' kind of gal, but your voice, your speed, your delivery, etc. made it simple. And now I have an APP (which makes me too cool). Thanks!
I had no idea where to begin, but this tutorial was perfect for a beginner like me. This video clearly shows every single step for creating a class app. I can't wait to put this knowledge to the test and make one of my own! Thank you, Sarah Campbell!
I learned by doing this and it was easy following along step-by-step with my own text and images I found online using your technique. It took about 2 hours to do it all, but in the end I built a functioning app off this video. Thank you!
Sarah !! Oh I want to say you are one of the best people who demonstrated a difficult concept for me to understand in a slow and clear manner. Clear, concise, orderly, and something a person like myself who has no experience doing this could actually follow and use. Now I do have one question. After this is created and I want to change the homework assignments or edit the important links etc. then how do I do that? Do I go back to the slides? could you tell me or help me with that? I am so new with everything on line. So thats my scare now is how do I make changes? I appreciate any help you can give me....
Thanks so much for this video! I love your pacing, and your approach of taking us through each step. I can leave this video and know exactly how to create my own class app successfully! Very clear tutorial. Thanks Sarah!
This was a great tutorial! Takes you through all the steps beginning to end! I followed along very easily and created my own class app! Thank you so much for creating this very helpful video! 👍👍
This was great! Thank you!! You explained everything very well. One question.....if I update the homework slide each week, do I need to publish it to the web each time to 'update it?' Was not sure if it was automatic or how that slide worked. Thank you in advance!
Hello! Thank you for this great tutorial! I am not sure if I did something wrong, but when I publish after adding &rm=minimal, you can still scroll through all the slides without necessarily clicking the buttons. So, even though they cant click to other slides, the mouse allows them to scroll through them. Is it supposed to do that, or did I mess up somewhere? Than you so much!
Thank you for creating this video! It was incredibly helpful! From what I understand from the video as soon as you edit the content the parents will be able to see the changes automatically. If I have a homework page and I want to update it for the following week but don’t want parents to see the content until a future date, how can I do that? Thinking through this I was curious if I would just duplicate the homework page and fill in the next week’s assignments then when I’m ready for parents to see it link it to the tile on the first page instead of the page that’s currently linked. Does that make sense? Is that how you would do it? Thanks! 😊
That’s a great question and one I hadn’t thought about. I was planning to just edit the HW slide but I love the idea of creating an new HW slide each week and altering the link!
Do you mind sharing which Bitmoji you are using in your presentation and is it free? Thank you I learned so much from this video. You are an excellent teacher. Please keep making more because this Google Classroom is all new to me. We are teaching hybrid, so I have to do both plans. I need all the help I can get. Thank you.

I know that this is from a year ago and I used your tutorial to built my app last year. I needed a refresher so I watched it again. I finished my slide presentation and then published to the web. I tried testing it on my cell phone and the presentation will open perfectly to the home page, but each time I click on a "Button" it opens a new tab with that new slide view. I had 10 tabs open when I was done testing. Everything transitioned perfectly, but it opened a new tab each time. This did not happen on my laptop, only my cell phone. Is there a way to fix this? Thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to make this tutorial. Your step-by-step process will be easy to follow, and I look forward to making my own class app very soon. What a great platform that parents will be able to navigate with ease. Again, thank you.

QUESTION: Do parents have to have a GOOGLE ACCOUNT to access the APP? I was hoping this wouldn't be the case since I've created it with my school drive. I tried accessing it through my phone with my personal google drive, but it says I need to request permission. Any advice?
My email is not a link. If you want yours to open as a link you would need to either move it I. Front of the transparent cover or put a small transparent rectangle over top of the text/transparent cover and link that small shape to your email address.
This was an awesome tutorial. All works well except for 1 thing. Does anyone know why mine starts on page 3 when the link is followed, instead of page 1?
This is great but when I have it published, it shows the "slides" buttons on the bottom. Does anyone know why this is? Is it just because it's me trying to open it on my computer/phone? How do I make it so that they can't hit on that?

No I am not sure why that would happen. If you’d like to share your slides with me I’d be happy to take a look. Campbell_s@ohlsd.com
Ok I think I figured this one out. You need to be on the first slide when you add to home screen.
This is great but when I have it published, it shows the "slides" buttons on the bottom. Does anyone know why this is? Is it just because it's me trying to open it on my computer/phone? How do I make it so that they can't hit on that?
Is there a way to make the “app” always open up to slide 1 (the home page)? Mine always opens to a random slide.
Make sure you are on the first slide when you add it to your home screen. I am planning to add that to my directions page.
great!
When I type in the &rm=minimal it doesn’t get rid of the slides to the left like yours does.
Are you publishing to the web? View in a browser not in slides.
I made my app and emailed it to myself. I’ve tried to save it to my home screen and it doesn’t give me that choice. I have updated to the most recent update. Any tips for this?
@@febbieallen1389 I figured it out. Copy and Paste the Tiny.url in the search bar of Safari. It will give you the box with the arrow and the choice to save it to your home screen :)
Febbie Allen mine did save with an image.
Great tutorial! I’m having trouble keeping the slides from moving to the next when parents click. I had the protective rectangle and linked it to that specific slide but it’s still not working. Any suggestions?
I did this but when others try to put it on their device, it says they need access and then the email cannot be delivered. Any chance you could help me with this?
Did you publish to the web? That's the link you want to use....not the one when you click share.
