Does this mean the 1/2 hour of silence already happened? Or is yet to happen? President Nelson shared we’ll see the greatest manifestations of Gods power and miracles between now & when the Savior comes again- so doesn’t that mean the heavens will not be closed for the 1/2 hour any point from here on out?
I have heard it argued it had most likely ended. IF the reckoning is 21 years (a half hour according to the concept that 1 day is 1000 years to the Lord) and if essentially the Hosanna shout solemn assembly following the Palmyra New York dedication was the rough beginning of that, then we’d be about there.
The heavens are indeed open. Simply read chapter 1 of the Book of Mormon and the message is clear. Lehi after praying for his brethren in Jerusalem was overwhelmed with multiple encounters with god. This is the opening message of the Book of Mormon if you only have access to chapter one. That a mere mortal can become aquatinted with god in a personal relationship and intimate way.
However. The half hour of silence is in heaven is different it Will end someday. we don’t fully know what that means but it appears that will god will begin the process of moving his kingdom to this planet. This will be seriously a great and dreadful day.
