A better story involving the blight storyline would be that the reason why everyone split the town was because T Bolt, Tibault, whatever you say the robots name, found a way to use lies about each scientist and spread them around with the people taking sides based on which lies they chose to believe, and the reason he would do that is because the blight could be cured by both scientists working together or something, either way the best reason why he would create the disease could be because he was given a mind and didn't like that he was going to be used as a house slave

    • @team10leader1

To build on your idea, each faction of scientist can't cure the blight on their own. The Technocrats may have technology, but their doctors only know the fundamentals, like tending wounds or broken limbs. The Biotists are highly studied in the medical field, but they don't have the advanced technology to make devices necessary to whip up the cure, like a centrifuge or an incubator.

11:28 Huxley is surprisingly cohesive for someone who was supposedly created by "grafting" together components of various plants and animals. The only hint of that is the stitching on his neck and arms. On that note, why is grafting being treated as its own thing? Its like a city of engineers populated exclusively by plumbers.

I have one of the books from this and the idea and art is very charming; much more interesting than the pacing from the movie. And from what I understand, the creator of the books is also the guy behind the HP Lovecraft adventure series which was ALSO butcher badly when they brought it to film. Looking at it between this, I think the animation is mostly motion captured given how oddly smooth the movements are.
And Jeffrey Tambor is in this??? I thought he was....uh....you know, especially since this came out in 2021.
Addition: ooof, the music choices in this, they buuuurn. The pop music does not at all work with the setting and tones so I have to question WHY not go with something that mixes well with the fantasy, steam punk setting of the story.

Making a movie or show is no walk in the park, and it's crucial to acknowledge the hurdles faced by everyone involved. These dedicated teams working at the studios grapple with budget limitations and tight schedules. Instead of pointing fingers at artistic laziness, it's often more a result of the financial constraints within the studio.
Understanding the inner workings of the entertainment industry is key, where studios primarily seek to generate revenue through merchandise and advertising tied to their projects. Having experience in the industry reveals just how remarkable it is that anything gets produced, let alone something of top-notch quality. The process involves numerous complex pieces that must come together nearly perfectly to create an outstanding movie or show. No one sets out to make bad content; it's just an incredibly tough endeavor, fraught with obstacles along the way. Ultimately, even the less successful productions can be seen as a sort of cinematic marvel.

What was the name of that "unwound" book, where kids were taken apart and used as organ donors? That's what that purple baby reminds me of.

You know, what if there was a story taking place in the steampunk world, and it’s about a young woman and her travels to a far away city, and what happens on her train ride (which happens to be the most largest and gracious locomotive ever built) over there. A crash, a robbery, or whatever, won’t stop this girl by putting things right and making it to her destination in one piece.

For Bobsheaux-Ween, can you review attack of the killer tomatoes, Carrie 2013, Scary Godmother, Pinocchios revenge, killer klowns from outer space, the leprechaun movies, and the 1998 remake of Psycho?

I think the reason Tesla needed to be educated rather then just programmed with knowledge, was because the Tinker wanted to showed a mechanical person was capable of observing knowledge and information as well as a organic person? I think there a concept in AI theory that talks about it?
The Biotists feel like a bit of wasted potential. They would have been working more to show that their niche of science could do more. That maker air ship out of mutated animals. I think
There’s a book series witch that concept called “Leviathan”
