Maybe call your local wildlife people to relocate the fire salamanders, they can live up to 50 years and are considered vulnerable. It would make an interesting video addition too.
Hopefully they aren't the poisonous type. They looked so cosy.
They are lovely creatures... I hope a suitable home can be found for them. I had a salamander in a basement of a house I lived in... I relocated him near the creek in the base of a nice tree... he seemed happy with that but that was in the summertime... not the dead of winter. Very much enjoy watching your channel... seeing you and Sadie work together Stan makes my day. That and my Pops name was Stanley... I could tell you a cute story about that someday. He used to own an Autobody shop... I miss my Pops. He passed in 2009. I still feel like I lost a wealth of knowledge I'll never get back.
They might need to be moved later on in the spring when it warms up a bit. They might be in a sort of hibernation at the moment.
I hope something can be done to save the salamanders. They too have squatters rights. Especially being endangered.
Oh that would be amazing!
its great that your neighbours watch your channel, I'm sure everyone in the area is glad to see the fabulous derelict building being restored
You make a great point. Having a large, looming derelict building close by would be extremely undesirable indeed. It attracts partying kids and undesirable elements, besides the aesthetic issues of course, so it can only serve to boost property values in the area. Love this couple for all they're doing for the village 🙂
Salamanders in a house brings luck and success. It's also the symbol of king François Ier. 🙂
Glad you treated your neighbours to a bottle of wine . Nice job you two
I am sure the neighbor will be happy to see the mansion cleaned up.
I love that you two laugh so much together. ❤
I would be so discouraged by seeing so much water flowing freely into the chateau. I admire your skills, persistence, and optimism in tackling this huge project.
Thanks for being kind to the salamanders! ❤
Hello to all Stan and Sadies neighbors!!!
Yay!!! Electricity and water=civilization!❤
The word you were looking for was “Water-Valve”, which is the connection of city water to individual homes.
Or spigot or maybe petcock?
I just bought a slate for the roof! I can't believe how happy it made me 😊
Always pays to be neighborly like that. You just gave him a story to tell everybody!!! LOLOL
Hello to your nice Dutch neighbors! That was a nice gesture taking them wine to make up for no water! It is great they follow you on uTube, too! Yea, you have electric men there….and some electric!! What a beautiful armoire! Love from Pennsylvania 💕🌷🐻
You found salamanders, hopefully they can go back into hibernation. I am rebuilding my garden perimeter walls at the moment and found a somnolent frog in a pile of stones today. Moved him to a quiet place and covered him in compost again.
Ooh, almost 100K! Come on people!!!
Yup! Door to Narnia is way more fun! 😂
Fabulous armoire, will clean up and show the gorgeous patina of it's age when oiled.
I believe you will find amazing support from the neighbors.
Folks genuinely want to see you succeed. We are living vicariously thru you.
The crafters watching the cutting of that tree trunk will be drooling over that woody potential. Sell some. !
At least you met your neighbors! And that they watch the channel
Unbelievable how much rain has fallen in the past couple of months!
Another wonderful video, we all love you both so much, and want you to succeed❤❤
I should not have laughed at your joke , what has 2 teeth and 40 eyes….but I did, and out loud 😂
Sadie looked like Darth Vader from a distance with the long black coat on.
Loving your channel
Never need to apologize! I will never wonder if you haven't dropped a video; you have SO much work!
Love that your neighbors are fans!!
What an international neighborhood!!
All the best from an old lady in Southern California, USA.
Ditto from another " much older" woman from Southern California.
Ditto from Wisconsin!
I’m watching from
Chicago
Me too in Worcestershire England 🏴..always waiting for the next one..
WOW! Gorgeous plant and beautifully colored salamanders!! Thanks for sharing! You two are the best! Thanks for the laughs, too!!
Stan was beavering away in the gully of despair and brambles, and Darth Sadie and her light machete appeared on the horizon to help him!
😂
I am sure your neighbors were happy to have their water back. It is important to get along with them. ❤
Sadie and Stan, another enjoyable video. You have a cordial Dutch neighbor!
Those brambles are wicked!
Salamanders are lovely!
You've been busy!
Fire salamanders are gorgeous but poisinous so don't handle with bare skin 😊
Have you found any loir yet? They are adorable and in hibernation at the moment. Move carefully if you come across them 😉
You do make me laugh!
So some of the neighbours must be pleased - furniture is always welcome.
With friendly neighbors and how fun you guys are, I foresee some great parties in the future! Muck on, darlings!❤❤❤. Btw, I will nickname Stan "Big tiny!"😂
Oh my, Stan has a wicked sense of humour - I love it. Sadie, it is so lovely to see you so happy, you are always smiling and Stan is doing a great job in keeping you happy. Wow, that tree has fallen a long time ago, as all the vines over it don't grow overnight - unless they were the reason the tree fell... either way, it will keep you in some firewood for a while. Keep up the great work and never apologise if you don't get a video out, we just love it when you do. xx
That plant with the beautiful leaves is Arum italicum, it is a species of flowering herbaceous perennial plant in the family Araceae, also known as Italian arum and Italian lords-and-ladies. It is cultivated as an ornamental plant for traditional and woodland shade gardens. Subspecies italicum (the one normally grown in horticulture) has distinctive pale veins on the leaves, whilst subspecies neglectum (known as late cuckoo pint) has faint pale veins, and the leaves may have dark spots. All parts are poisonous, but I think it’s important for some insects. - Amazing those beautiful fire salamanders! 🦎
You two are so fun to watch. You may have to buy several chain saws. A girl can run one too. I have one. A small one that’s not too heavy. I noticed that the grain on the tree you’re cutting is really pretty. Maybe you could make something out of it? The salamanders are so pretty. Maybe give your neighbors a roof tile with their names on it? I’ll bet a lot of your neighbors are excited to see your mansion being restored. It’s so sad to see a wonderful old building go to ruin. I liked the creepy haunted house music. The joke too. I always look forward to your videos.
😮 wow, you have a lot of knowledge of that plant. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. Horticulturalist❓❓
@@CindysGems Thank you, kind of. I have been a clinical aromatherapist for 35 years, wrote 12 books about healing with essential oils and plants, I love foraging and eating "weeds", therefore I am familiar with plants which are definitely not edible for us humans (but for some other creatures they might be delicacies!)
Awesome you got power that should make things a little bit better. Keep on mucking
The song about not going to the party. I love your content. Yall make me laugh so hard. Thank you, thank you, thank you. 😂😂😂❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤
Love having a floor plan so I understand where you are working.
love watching the two of you! ahh to be young❤️
Missed you guys for a bit there, but I understand! Life goes on outside Mucky Mansion. Well, you certainly make up for lost time with your continued interesting vlogs!
That plant is called Lords and Ladies - that's what we always called it when we were kids:)
I love the music at the beginning and the humour. Glad that you have electricity and soon water. Big steps forward.
Never seen Sadie so happy ❤
Pushing 100K! That was a huge tree you were cutting up, no shortage of firewood if you can find a dry place to store it. Great job on chateau and on the vlog! 🇨🇦❤️
I had to laugh when you guys were singing The Lion Sleeps Tonight!!! It's actually wim-o-weh (which sounds like weem-oh-way). 😊
I loved seeing the salamanders! They like a moist climate, but it might be too cold to move them outside right now
The salamanders are beautiful.
More life has arrived with electricity, and hopefully soo water too. I watch for each episode. I loved this chateau the first time Michael and then Billy showed it on their channels and hoped someone would buy it and begin to bring life back into her. Billy is probably thrilled to see it receiving love and life. Ronnie in Saskatchewan
It's good to have kind and understanding neighbours. Hello to them!
Thank you Sadie and Stan for being kind to the sweet salamanders xx
Wow! That is a very large tree that is down! It is so surrounded by brambles, that I can only see a small glimpse of a stone wall? I am intrigued to see that area revealed as to what it is or what you will make it. Crack on!
I love the two of you🇦🇺💝
You have the bones of a absolutely magnificent home. So glad you are saving it
And the plant is: Aronskelk, in Dutch: Italiaanse Aronskelk
Arum italicum
Love the joke, I'm still laughing. It's going to be a beautiful place one day.
Just enjoy watching you and your escapades. Stan, you are amazing with all you can do. ❤❤❤
Very impressed how well you can move around and work since your stroke !
The plant is a varigated Arum. It gets a spathe with a white flower with red berries in the fall. Love you guys. Lola from Eugene oregon, USA
Thanks for the ans re plant ...I have some coming up in my garden, thought they were Arum of so e sort.
@jackiejones690 It's a beautiful plant, but alas, it is an invasive in
my garden here in the Pacific Northwest and very hard to get rid of.
So darn cute!
Loved the Chat Today, Wonderful Neighbours, More Wine 🍷 Please so They Don’t Complain 👌👍🥰🙊🙊💕
Those fire salamanders look amazing.... I bet you come into contact with sooooo much nature on this project.... I find it fascinating watching you guys slowly completing your masterpiece! Thoroughly enjoyable ( from this side of the screen ) 👍
Floor plans ❤
As always you put a smile on my face and inspire positive energy. Thank you, until the next time Mucky On.
Electricity!!! Wahoo..this is a really big accomplishment.
Cupboard for the Muck on! Safety helmets, high-vis , ppe, & work coats for now
Sadie, you rocked that red hat at the beginning ❤
We feel the love. Especially between you two. 💘🇨🇦
Looking forward to the restorasion.
I just love mucky mansion videos!!!
Every episode makes me smile 😁
That plant you asked about is called Lords and Ladies (it's a type of arum - other common names include cuckoopint and jack-in-the-pulpit). It's beautiful red berries are very poisonous to humans and animals but not birds (so keep Billy's kids well away). They will appear everywhere however much you dig them up and their roots go down deep in the soil and break off easily so it's very hard to get rid of them. We have them popping up all over the garden.
They are an invasive species!
I know you guys will make it because you both have a great sense of humor❣. Hang in there with all the other things you have going on like work and the crappy weather. Big hugs. Love the little salamanders (and that you actually have electricity and water coming) woo hoo!
Yay for electricity!!! That's great progress!!
Oh WELL !!!😂 The lizard 🦎 came in for some WINE 🍷
Fire Salamanders
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Progress is seen step by step. Well done” Muckers”! 👍
That tree was massive. Those hardwoods don’t cut easily.
Yes! What a massive tree so close to the building!
yay - electricity. --- yay - almost water!❤
Italian Arum - its a pest and you can never get rid of it and it spreads in your garden with its little white bulbs
Glad that you’re getting electricity at last! Well done guys 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💙💕
Thank you! I just learned something from Stan cutting that massive log that I'd not thought of before.
Tap, spigot, or valve are the way Americans say it, but I actually like it better when I get to learn how you folks say it. :) 🧡
stop-cock in UK
I enjoy and look forward to your videos Stan and Sadie. Thank you for sharing.
In the US, the water tap is a valve. We have electrical panel boxes with "breakers" for individual circuits.Take it all at your own pace .
Проект по реконструкции замка , я думаю требует не только вложений денежных , но и требует некоторых навыков работы . У вас все получится , вы справитесь.!!!!
I think the word Stan was looking for was a stopcock. For instance, if you want to do work on anything related to plumbing, you need to turn off the stopcock to prevent flooding.
Is Stan teaching you Sadie how to play an instrument I'm so impressed and how fortunate you are to have a teacher with so many talents. Keep at it Sadie! ❤B
Stan! That joke! Made me laugh!
Amazing trees all around your Chateau!
Thats sooo many awesome comments 👍 🎉🙏💜🥰✨️x x x
Shut off for the water main in UK is called a Stopcock
you beat me to it!
I can see that English word being very confusing to Stan!
Well enough logs there for best part of a year….what a job cutting all that up. So much to do. Sadie and Stan just smile their way through. Love your positivity. it’s great that you’ve got leccy, yayyy 👏🏻👏🏻 till the next episode, from narnia 💖and water 😊
The critter was a fire salamander. They are found pretty much everywhere in France.
and protected !
Ohhh my goodness. I want to come and play improv and help. I Love you guys ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰
Oh, no! How frustrating to be replacing so much glass in your windows only to have a storm blow through and cause damage.
Welcome back missed yous guys , yous spoiled us every night at the start , I know Stan has a job to do as well xxx
Love that wardrobe furniture Sadie an Stan. You are doing great.😊😊
💛🖤 What beautiful little creatures 🖤💛
In the first quote here, they are called fire salamanders and can live up to 50 years. Most likely a vulnerable breed too.
@divaden47 Thank You
I'm thinking the word he was looking for was spigot. 😊
I thought Stopcock
Supply valve, in the US.
Hi guys, you were looking for a word for tap, could it also be a faucet? The plant is an arrowhead I believe, it seems to be doing well. It's wonderful you are trying to preserve things. I love how you are protecting the little boarders (salamanders). There is another Chatlander that is rescuing these little adorable mouse type creatures which are hibernating. Love and hugs 🙏🥰
I think they were talking about the mains valve, not a tap in the sense of one over a sink, for example.
Agree: valve@@XantheWilliams
The plant is called Italian Arum ( _Arum italicum_ ) also known as Italian Lords-and-Ladies, very appropriate name for a chateau garden flora.
It also has a naughty name that you may find amusing. It makes pretty leaves in the spring, then a seed pod. Then it will go dormant until the next spring. It's toxic, so don't eat it.
I also found that it is an Italian Arum
Arum italicum is a species of flowering herbaceous perennial plant in the family Araceae, also known as Italian arum and Italian lords-and-ladies.[2] It is native to the British Isles[3] and much of the Mediterranean region, the Caucasus, Canary Islands, Madeira and northern Africa. It is also naturalized in Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, Argentina, North Island New Zealand and scattered locations in North America. (Wikipedia)
Yes, that is what it is. We have to remove it in the Pacific NW of the US because it is an invasive that competes with native plants.
And also the seeds are toxic. The leaves disapear in spring. And the plant spread easily. Difficult to get it out.
Well done guys !!!! baby steps
Still my favorite channel, due to great personalities and so much going on!!!,
Great to see you two!
