Great stuff! I'm learning a lot. I noticed an error in your visuals, though. Example number 3, you show Dm Am C Gm. That last chord -- you're playing a G major, not minor. So it's a ii vi I V progression.
so i get how you substituted relative minor chords in this composition example ie replacing the IV with iv. Will this same technique work for subbing parallel minor/major chords?
Your piano roll is really hard to read. Are the blacks - white, and vice versa? When you say 'lets use this one' and 'we'll take this one' for the chord progression blocks without saying what progression and inversion they are, it's making my brain melt trying to track the piano roll horizontally to see what keys you're using. In the meantime I would recommend listening to some classical violin concertos for inspiration. Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso by Saint-Saëns is a good start, but there are hundreds out there. =)
what are the three tracks you are using? One is for the bass line but the other two look like the exact same track with the same chords just doubled? Are they 2 different articulations?

Hey I had a question. In your MIDI for the ONE Strings, you have some disjointed notes (Generally the top 3 notes) but the lower two notes are overlapping. Is there a reason why? Are you using a sustain pedal to extend the notes instead?
Hey Samarth! Usually the lower 2 notes (Celli + Basses) overlap to offer a smoother transition into the next chord, as these instruments normally play the root of the chord. Since the higher 3 notes (Violas + Violins 1&2) are more audible and tend to carry the melody, it's sometimes a good idea to disjoint or break the MIDI before the next chord. These are just a few tricks for having better legato/swelling transitions in your MIDI. Hope this helps! =)
Hi there I got a question it's possibile to decide to start a track in a key and then switch inside these 7 notes to another key scale and write the track in some parts with different keys of the beginning , it can be done something like that or it's totally wrong?
Hi mate, that is totally fine, legal, and ethically correct haha. It’s called modulation, if I understand what you are saying right. Search online for some beginner tips on modulation, which is the movement from one key to another.

@@mukulkataria9128 Yeah it is vst that you can use with daw like FLstudio. I'm not sure if will work with software you mentioned, but if that software can use load Vst then most probably will work. If you can't afford to buy or won't pirate all the software, you can find company called East West. They have monthly subscription plan for like 20-30$ monthly and you can use all the instruments they ever produced. And we are talking about instruments from brass, orchestral all the way to big drums, guitars, big epic choirs, soul vocals, Oriental instruments from all around the world and so on. They use their own program for all the instruments, so try to contact them if their player is supported by your daw.

@@mukulkataria9128 In the begging it's all about learning. You need to learn about arrangement, song structure, mixing and so on. It is actually easy to learn since there is tons of instructions on RUclips. For example this guy explained frequently used chords in Hollywood music, so you can start from there. When you start to investigate all the sounds you have on your PC, from violins to trombones, it will come naturally to you all about song structure, since somewhere in subconscious you have stored all those songs you already heard in the movies, TV shows and video games. Try to download free vst like piano, or violins and start from there. I know sound on free stuff is not always great, but just try it and see if you like it. Like with everything in life you will struggle in the beginning, but after one month or so, you will already understand how your program DAW (digital audio workstation) works and how to use it.

If so, check out one of our other tutorials in our channel "Writing Different Chord Progressions for 1 Melody", there you'll get a sense of how and when certain chord changes will be useful for what you're writing. =)
Jake if you’re referring to what’s done in jazz those only work with circle progressions like ii-V-I. Cinematic progressions are more based on 3rd relationships like going from vi-IV hope this helps.

at 1:30 how is it vi-IV-I-V when it sounds like the A minor is the tonic? I see that you base the roman numerals on the C Major but the tonic sounds like A Minor (relative minor).
I guess this just depends on how you perceive it. It could be both. It's hard to define with the lack of a clear Dominant, which in A minor would be E major. In my head at the time, it was a theme that I intended to resolve into C major in the end (if I would resolve it). The improvised melody for example outlines the C major scale/chord a lot. But it could also be A minor just as well, so thanks for pointing that out! :)
