Whole time they know exactly what you’re saying and maybe even agree but they can’t concede. To them it’s taking an L and their ego can’t accept an L so they’d rather stifle the conversation and frustrate you until you drop it. That’s how hood cats get out of admitting that they were wrong.

Mec was tryna say it’s the mindset of the culture that changed. Instead of appreciating genuine authentic art, it grew into what it is today. AND YES‼️ LETS LIVE IN REALITY AND BLAME DIDDY. CUZ WHO TF WAS THE ARTIST? HIM OR BIG? HIM OR MASE? HIM OR LIL KIM? And it’s hard to say for the nigga to do his job cuz we can see what his true intentions are now with what’s current….
The culture's 'mindset'?? Hip Hop's FOUNDATION comes from sampling. You could make the argument that 98% of Hip Hop's actual 'music' isn't 'original' because it involves taking work from others to make a final product. That certainly didn't begin with Puff.
Puff and Bad Boy made it about materialism. Don’t worry if I write rhymes, I write checks. Biggie co-signed it. Y’all love talking bad about other regions but not your own. When Nas dropped IWW and De La dropped Stakes Is High on the same day there was a divide. When Jay dropped Vol2 and Black Star dropped on the same day there was a divide. The people who stayed true to hip hop’s roots vs materialism. It happened. Can’t erase that. That happened in NYC/east coast. De La, Jeru, The Roots, etc were against the direction Puff was taking hip hop. Puff called people haters because they called him out on his bullshit. Math is delusional. He just don’t want to put any fault on his region.
Math was right he just didn't know why lol. Mecca should be holding the forefathers of Hip Hop accountable for making sampling the foundation of it. Don't blame Diddy. Diddy only copied and advanced a Blueprint that existed WELL BEFORE him. Blame Afrika Bambata and all of them other cats lol
Intelligence is a VERY complex thing. Let's just say they are more knowledgable regarding certain subjects in Hip Hop. Mecca was wrong about the Diddy thing though. Sampling existed WELL BEFORE him and a lot of those beats were just sample loops with little to no creativity added to them back in the day.
@onyxonyx4744 You think Mecca was wrong. A lot of people, including me, think he was right. People on the show are giving their opinions. It's not always about right and wrong or whether someone agrees with you or not. What he was saying was he believed Diddy opened up the flood gate for that kind of production method. It's his opinion. I say intelligence because Math and others made such a big deal about his opinion. It doesn't matter if you agree with it or not.
Math is an exceptional mind. I think he does this ish on purpose because toward the end he was making the argument that Mecca was making all long. Great Conversation to listen to and debate.
Just said the same exact thing I listen to him speak he smart and even moments like when daylyt said math pulled him to the side and asked him something like when it’s all said and done what you wanna be remembered for you got one of the best pens in the game but your antics are overshadowing that
Yoooo I truly think they’re messing with Mecc…how do they not understand what he was saying and how Diddy was a part of what Ebro was defining. The production is a part of the art form so yes it was part of the issue. I think they debate everything he says on purpose…make it more like FIRST TAKE
Art is in the eye/ear of the beholder. The arrogance that allows Math to think trash rap started down south because he doesn’t like it is the whole reason New York lost the lead in Hip Hop. The rappers I believe he’s calling trash, built organic audiences in their region (and many got rich just going gold regionally) by making music that reflected their audiences experience and life perspective. They sold music directly to that market and performed on the Hip Hop “chitlin” circuit and became foundational to the culture. The trash comment is wild disrespectful and misinformed.
Math a bully unfortunately… he finesses any situation were someone has a different opinion. It seem like no one can teach him anything. I wonder who he thinks has enough wisdom to learn from ??🧐 6:38
Mec was spot on yet again and every is just back to conversation that stirs the pot. That’s spinning the block the whole conversation math was trying to have.

If he ®aping them, knocking them out with d®ugs, and recording it. Them dudes are victims of blackmail and sexual assault. I used to laugh about it too until you realize what it really is
I also agree with Mecca’s logic and reasoning in this Diddy production convo… the standard went left at the rise of the shiny suit era which pushed out the NYC conscious & Boom Bap era. Math is only hearing the level rap decline (which I agree with him on) but it starts with the production going for the cross over & beat bite’en - calling it “the Remix”.
Boom Bap came off the radio as the Diddy blueprint caught on. I understood exactly where Mecca is coming from. Math Hoffa is either playing dumb or tapped. Dont know how ninjas deal with this dude sometimes

I blame Wayne. When that clip of him making The Carter 3 and how he was punching in his lines and talking bout how much he records, he taught the next generation. They all talk about how much they live in the studio but unlike Wayne, they make trash. They will put out 30 songs and only 2 of them are decent. Quantity over Quality and the loss of artist development is what ruined the game

Whole time they know exactly what you’re saying and maybe even agree but they can’t concede. To them it’s taking an L and their ego can’t accept an L so they’d rather stifle the conversation and frustrate you until you drop it. That’s how hood cats get out of admitting that they were wrong.
Math is too stuck on the rapper/bars part of it and not the production side
@@SiincereARC Funny my comment was deleted and I knew it would so I copied it to paste it later and it’s even erased from my copy clip board.
@@culcre I'm confused. Are you saying I'm the reason it was deleted?
@@SiincereARC No, I’m just saying it’s funny I notice my comment got deleted. In the comment I said Math 100% knows what he’s doing. But that’s what hood cats do when they know they wrong. They stifle the conversation by fronting like you’re so far off they can’t grasp what you’re saying. Truth is they understand you and maybe even agree but their ego can’t allow them to concede so they’d rather frustrate you to the point you just drop it. That’s how they avoid taking the L and admit being wrong.
They should’ve played the ebro interview 2 more times so they can grasp and understand what he was saying lol
They knew what Ebro was saying. They just wanted to discredit down south artist
@@jaybelcher3135u peeped that too
Mec was tryna say it’s the mindset of the culture that changed.
True indeed, I agree. It became lazy in making money fast. Miss the 90's
The culture's 'mindset'?? Hip Hop's FOUNDATION comes from sampling. You could make the argument that 98% of Hip Hop's actual 'music' isn't 'original' because it involves taking work from others to make a final product. That certainly didn't begin with Puff.
@@onyxonyx4744 your sounding like the rest of them. We aren’t talking about the production of music. It’s more so about hip hops moral compass.
I really feel bad for Kim and Mecca having to be around stupid people I don't understand a simple statement
1 million subscribers sheeeesh. That good shit homie🫡🫡🫡🔥🔥🔥
Kim people hearing something of fact and then flipping said fact into opinion is what is done nowadays
Wow you are a true head op
You're incredible, keep making videos!
Math always thinks he’s right 🤣
Math was right he just didn't know why lol. Mecca should be holding the forefathers of Hip Hop accountable for making sampling the foundation of it. Don't blame Diddy. Diddy only copied and advanced a Blueprint that existed WELL BEFORE him. Blame Afrika Bambata and all of them other cats lol
17:00 Mecca wanted to say "Im not sure youre smart enough to get it" hahahaha
Mecca explain to math like a child and math still don't get it🤦🏿♂️ math is stuck with what he likes that's why his music always is trash
1:01 thank me later
😂thank you
hahaha
God's work
MVP
Clearly, Mecca and Kim are the most intelligent people on the show.
Clear to WHO?
She Look Good Af
Kim been fine from Day 1
Facts, always did 😻
Dude with the god sweater is completely right
This is a INTERESTING conversation. Big props to the MEO board.
Math is so dumb
Math is an exceptional mind. I think he does this ish on purpose because toward the end he was making the argument that Mecca was making all long. Great Conversation to listen to and debate.
Just said the same exact thing I listen to him speak he smart and even moments like when daylyt said math pulled him to the side and asked him something like when it’s all said and done what you wanna be remembered for you got one of the best pens in the game but your antics are overshadowing that
Why is the production style so difficult to understand?
Math wasn’t playing when he said “he’s so special”
😂😂😂
Thank you Mecc. Salute fam! Kim, Thank you.
Yoooo I truly think they’re messing with Mecc…how do they not understand what he was saying and how Diddy was a part of what Ebro was defining. The production is a part of the art form so yes it was part of the issue. I think they debate everything he says on purpose…make it more like FIRST TAKE
Diddy made it cool to no be original is what he’s saying
Art is in the eye/ear of the beholder. The arrogance that allows Math to think trash rap started down south because he doesn’t like it is the whole reason New York lost the lead in Hip Hop. The rappers I believe he’s calling trash, built organic audiences in their region (and many got rich just going gold regionally) by making music that reflected their audiences experience and life perspective. They sold music directly to that market and performed on the Hip Hop “chitlin” circuit and became foundational to the culture. The trash comment is wild disrespectful and misinformed.
💯 in my eyes the south ain’t kill hip hop it SAVED it!
I refuse to believe that math is this dense, I think he’s just being contrarian to make the pod interesting 😂
Math salty because he never made it past the gate
Exactly
That dude Mecca don’t know what he be talking about about he just be running his mouth
How so?
Math a bully unfortunately… he finesses any situation were someone has a different opinion. It seem like no one can teach him anything. I wonder who he thinks has enough wisdom to learn from ??🧐 6:38
Mec was spot on yet again and every is just back to conversation that stirs the pot. That’s spinning the block the whole conversation math was trying to have.
Let’s Go!!!
Math, i totally agree bro !....certain regions started bringing the bar down !
See why some of them in that room voted MAGA and why some didn’t. Critical thinking is lacking.
The dude next to Mecca in the red hat is annoying asf. He thinks he knows everything and always wants to bring up politics.
Hate that asshole
Math always needs to be heard and can never wrong
Dude listens to others just enough to formulate his response. He doesn’t listen to understand their point.
Say the truth New York rap is trash universally around the USA 😂 2014 until present times , outside of pop smoke, all the other rap artist are trash
This is why an interviewer should interview and not commentate. Kim is making Math sound and look stupid
It's sad how ignorant Math Hoffa is.
Lolol, it's frustrating because I immediately got what Mecca meant from the first time he made the Diddy point. I'm like "how can they not understand it?".... Like they can't see the forest for the trees
Blame Diddy for gay rappers 😂😂
If he ®aping them, knocking them out with d®ugs, and recording it. Them dudes are victims of blackmail and sexual assault. I used to laugh about it too until you realize what it really is
I also agree with Mecca’s logic and reasoning in this Diddy production convo… the standard went left at the rise of the shiny suit era which pushed out the NYC conscious & Boom Bap era. Math is only hearing the level rap decline (which I agree with him on) but it starts with the production going for the cross over & beat bite’en - calling it “the Remix”.
Chile comprehension or lack there of w the Ebro story.. except for Mecca and Kim
This is a good one, I love it when they have open honest debates. Other shows they look so scripted.
Mecca was mad scared when I notice him on 117 acting mad defensive all I said was Aren’t you Mecca. 😂😂 he was so nervous n the hood
Mecca trippin' with dat POV
The shiny suit era was extremely corny and ruined Hip-Hop. Period!
And that is w what Mecc was saying without saying it like that
they blame diddy for everything diddy i dont care how many samples he used he always kept it hip hop
This conversation was all over the place. Everyone doesn’t need a podcast.
Math bruh u get it
Mecca has outgrow this platform. He can do more.
Boom Bap came off the radio as the Diddy blueprint caught on. I understood exactly where Mecca is coming from. Math Hoffa is either playing dumb or tapped. Dont know how ninjas deal with this dude sometimes
Mecca is making PLEEEEEENNNNNTTTTTYYYY of sense. Good Lord Have Mercy !!!
Shout Out to Mecca for his patience. We literally watched his beard get more gray 😂😂😂
Math is always moving the goal posts in convos.
When mecca is leading the convo it's like watching paint dry. I can't take him.. He acts as if he is all knowing and superior in knowledge in some way
He's superior in knowledge to everyone on the show. Basically, there's a bunch of dummies on the show.
Somebody tell Math that Record Comp's/Artists/Mgrs/etc have been paying Radio to spin records since the 50's .
I think he said that in this clip that it’s been going on since the beginning of record labels and radio
The Mecca and Math show i love this! 😅!
no way a battle rapper, who by trade is supposed to be the sharpest tool in the drawer based on their sport can be this slow b. im vexed at math and im not even there. MECCA is way more patient than me
Don't play Laffy Taffy around Math
I blame Wayne. When that clip of him making The Carter 3 and how he was punching in his lines and talking bout how much he records, he taught the next generation. They all talk about how much they live in the studio but unlike Wayne, they make trash. They will put out 30 songs and only 2 of them are decent. Quantity over Quality and the loss of artist development is what ruined the game
This conversation bout 2 go viral. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Mecca next episode deserves to have his hair washed, retwisted. This was exhausting to watch 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
