It's not just what Trigger says, it's his face when the others are speaking... trying to take it all in. Not just comedy but acting of the highest order. Wonderful!
His face is mostly expressionless. And he stands as still as if he were a statue. He's very good at what he does. And a very important part of the story.
Of the six characters in that scene, including Uncle Albert, only two are still with us - David Jason (Del) and Paul Barber (Denzil). Brilliant show - great writing and acting.
For those confused a out the betting shop, earlier in the programme Del had discussed a date with a girl in a bettin shop in Lewisham Grove. It was obviously Marlene
Trigger was the best part of this entire show, a great show without Trig but with him definitely THE best show on telly without question. Truly the funniest part was waiting for him to call Rodney, "Dave" honestly that joke never gets old🤣
Oh man, so sad that these great comic actors are gone. But at least they will be immortalised forever in one of the greatest sitcoms ever to grace television. What a legacy to leave behind.
I watch Only Fools, And Horses on a Television channel, called Gold. My favourite characters are Del Boy, Grandad Trotter, Great Uncle Albert, and of course, Trigger.

Asad Maqsood - there are some very good and cleverly-scripted American sitcoms; Friends, Cheers, Frasier and many more. I don't think you can simply say all American shows are overrated and all UK shows are good.
@@markfox1545 im not saying all american shows are not good. i loved seinfeld and it is among the few shows that are not overrated. and when i say overrated im talking from a non-american perspective. english language tv and movies are seen all over the world and british comedies are very much underrated when comparing to americans.

The labourer knew Skegness well and recommended a cafe to the foreman. Yes, it's certainly better than The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Poldark, Game of Thrones et al.
