I like the metal pots for adjustments and super clean layout. 5k if you hold 14.7 is solid for the price. I wonder how solid the protection circuits are. It looks very well designed, circuit layout, component selection, and nice tall fin beefy heatsink. Pretty sold option, id run one if these. Very nice looking! Especially with the anodized face plates! Thanks for taking time to post this!
Man can't lie the old dsp's were killer, picked one up for a guy. I almost kept it for myself, even told him to sell me it back rather than get rid of it when he goes too.
very nice amp, price is a bit steep. They should price this $999. Surge 4k only $699 korean half bridge. People will buy sundown salt before buying this in that price range. Love the video ❤
I agree it's expensive however it's performance is stellar. AD is standing behind the price saying the quality justifies it - how that works out, we'll see.

I don't trust small amps that put out big power, sure they put out rated but they will get way too hot way too fast i don't see the point you only get to play for 10 seconds before the amp is shutting down
These amps have the heaviest heatsink per inch out of Korea they have made we designed this heatsink in house to be that way to keep maximum cooling with a smaller foot print.
Hahaah $1,499. Y’all haven’t googled Slapz Audio yet, have you? Why would I spend $1,100 MORE for your amp which (at first pass) performs like the $300 Slapz Audio (admittedly, a Chinese copy, but the same shit, literally). These folks are nuts.

@@TheGodofSEO I have no affiliations with AD, but I would certainly recommend AD over a Chinese SD clone with a silly name like Slapz. If you can't see the disparity between the two, I'm sure Slapz will suit you just fine however.

Good work sir!
I really like the looks of this amp, and the performance. Nice😊

Super impressive!

Why are you measuring in DC versus AC voltage?
Because the input is DC and I'm clamping the input grounds.

I think Hexibase uses these amps too.
Yessir, he's pretty involved with AD actually, I think he models enclosures and more.
He works for them designing their drivers.
Who's alternator is running at 15.1 volts ? I'm at 14.2 at most.
15.5
@@dead6last and this is healthy for the batteries ?
I run 15.5v personally.
Many of us use lithium batteries that are best at mid 15s.

I need to see the admk1100.1 on a dyno
I'll try to get one in
Yes these are Korean
That should be how and amp rated should run much higher on a dyno since you would loose quite a bit from impedance rise in an real world application
No, impedance rise should not be a consideration as to how the amp is rated. It never has been.
Basically same board as
DD M4000
Surge PS4000
DS18 HKO 5k
All same Korean buildhouse
Just buy which one is cheapest

Its high price cause its close to a 5k on power its like a salt 4k on steroids
That must have been the ones that grabs Orions old amp makers.
D18 made the brand trash.
Same as JP knobs.
