    • @parthiaball

I agree, though technically it's because unlike the French that merely set up outposts in Canada to trade, the British legit conquered and colonised Canada. Realistically, there were no independent tribes of Inuits roaming Canada by the time of the British. They still should have given the Inuits with one small, northern region though.

I remember playing as the Pueblo nations one of my provinces had a settler rebellion and by the time my army showed up it had gotten pretty large. It was like 1800 or something settlers armed with muskets, meanwhile my force had 4 units of axe men and 3 units of archers so if memory serves that was like, 800 guys. When I go to the battlefield I see this mountain in the corner so I garrison all my troops just behind the ridge of the mountain, because of that the settlers didn't have a direct line of fire and had to charge up to engage in melee where my axes were superior, and the entire time they were charging up the hill they had arrows raining down on them. By the time the battle was finished the settlers had suffered about 1400 casualties while i only suffered about 75. It was amazing.

I remember doing a similar strategy in barbarian invasion, I was playing as the franks and was at war with the Slavs who had settled outside my territory so I sent an army to take it since they had a small garrison in the city but when the army crossed the borders they were attacked by 2 large horde sized armies so I fought this battle and at the corner of the map there was a large rock with a small rise so I put my siege weapon (an onager) at the top of the small rise and my 2 archer units behind my infantry which was 2 units of axe throwers and 2 units of axe men with shields and kept them in this position and we won the battle flawlessly.

One of my favorite campaigns of any strategy game for how it forced you to completely change how you played. You had to bait them, divide them, lure them into woodlands and ambushes; any less and you’d get a Pyrrhic victory at best. I had one campaign where I was doing pretty good until Mexico betrayed me and sent doom stacks into my land. It almost destroyed us, but I consolidated my army for one epic engagement; one doom stack against another, and one of those stacks was far more technologically advanced than the other. But by that time my warriors were hardened veterans, while the Mexican army had been shielded by us and didn’t know war. It was an intense fight, and the tactics I usually used failed in a number of places, but for once my troops did not run and stood their ground even when they suffered casualties, and we defeated them and retook our land.

The Native Americans were quite capable at war. While Napoleonic France and nazi Germany took only a few years to conquer Europe, Europeans took centuries to conquer the first nations of the Americas.

Neither, there has to be a way where everyone benefits man. Capitalism does 1 thing. Makes people look out for themselves and themselves only, humanity is NEVER gonna survive like that, capitalism is not only destroying our planet, it's poisoning the minds of everybody on it. And think about it, communism wasnt that bad, just the people who enforced it were (Stalin, etc). There are more ways to go than just capitalism / communism, things can change and things will... one day, we wont see it :(

Regular capitalism killed, and continues to kill, 20 million people each year. In 5 years, regular capitalism kills as many people as "Communism" (state capitalism) killed from 1917 to today.

he Spaniards found no horses in Mexico, Central America or Peru, and from that they deduced that there were no horses on the American continent. However, Sir Francis Drake, visiting the west coast of North America, saw “large bands of wild horses,”

I much prefer the Napoleonic campaign, I plan to stop the diaster that was Jena unt Austerdadt, bring down Napoleon, and raise the Prussian Eagle over Paris, returning France back to the Monarchy.

@TalonMercenary Exactly! The natives were fighting each other long before any European set foot in the Americas.

Anyone can claim anything, but without credible evidence, you prove NOTHING.
Native Americans made limited wars, sure, but that doesn't justify the Europeans' invasion, total war and genocide in the Americas, and does not justify the continuing occupation of Native American land nor the oppression of Native Americans by the descendants of the invaders.
