Incredible! easily the most attention to detail I have seen tying this knot. I have to say, if I went through all of that and then got snagged and snapped at the braid on the first cast..
@@Jake-ky9ed the most important thing I got from this is that you need to tighten after every few wraps, you could even put in a half hitch every couple to hold it. Most of the other videos will just wrap to the end and then tighten which gives a much higher chance of the line not digging in the whole way.
Thank your for the great demonstration of the knot. It’s the only leader to mainline knot I use myself for saltwater fishing. In my opinion though the half hitches create a weakness in the line as it cuts itself, this reduces the breaking strength of the mainline. I tend to tie the “rizzuto” finish that I got taught by a fellow’s RUclipsr (MB Custom Lures). This finish also has a smaller profile for casting longer distances from shore or boat. Whats your opinion on that?
Never tie a PR however PR and FG are fantastic knots. It’s all about preference regardless of efficiency. I don’t use PR yet because is a long knot for the type of fishing and not necessary.
I've watched hundreds of FG's tutorial. Hands down this is the best. Thank you masta!
So many FG instructional videos on YT but this might have been the best demonstrated!
I'm going to try this method out. Great tutorial.

I was first learning I guess I did it wrong?? Sent my fav bait to the moon on first cast! lol

Great explanation. Many thanks.

The best knot ever..... With practice you can do this in 2 minuts....
Not with this method, you're dreaming in 2 mins
@@Phalanx6433 best knot....no metodh my friend
@@valyvaly3592 done like this, not in 2 mins. A simpler version of the FG knot can be done in 60secs
This is the exact knot you use to tie PE 1.5 - 3?
Thank you Sir, make my FGs fairly similar but use my thumb and first finger. Cheers!
なるほど👀
thanks nice

No offence , PR is easier and faster to make and also check its accuracy and avoid mistake...
But this is how samurai’s do :)
FG has landed more 50+kg fish than any other. Anyone seen my bobbin
