Sorry for Replying to your old comment but if your looking for an Animated show that’s similar , Batman the Animated series (1992-1995) is like this but a bit more kid freindly and it was animated with a black background like this show probably was and despite its kid freindly nature manages to tell somewhat mature storylines for a kids show. They did a great job with this season. It was interesting seeing Spawn go completely mad with no hope until Cogliostoro comes to give him clarity. Their relationship is somewhat similar to Batman and Alfred. They need each other and Spawn gains wisdom from him.
@ anyone who's read the books knows that this a different interpretation of the story, from Spawns traits to Cogliostro, the beginning of the Spawn comics are very different compared to the animated series, so I'm pretty sure Cogliostro might actually be good here instead of just manipulating him

Unfortunately, when Spawn was added to MK11 that brought a lot of attention back to these videos and I guess HBO became wise enough to copy right strike the videos. Weirdly enough 1, 2, and this video are still up but everything else ya gotta buy.

Good and Evil are not black and white. Al Simmons justified his actions as a soldier saying he had orders to follow. He committed evil when he started justifying his ruthlessness, making excuses like "I was a soldier" kidding himself that he didn't enjoy killing his enemies. Even his C.O. knew he was out of line. It's times like this I'm glad I never joined the Armed Forces, you have to give up your individuality and moral compass to follow orders and what you have to do can change you.

When I was 5,I mistakenly made my dad rent one of the Spawn HBO series thinking it was the movie...lol I only knew Spawn through the PS1 game and the movies,when I showed my brother this he said it was better than the movie lol...My dad took it back early the next day for the movie version,but we would stay up late with the volume down to watch the show on HBO....

I found this series in a steelbook in Best Buy probably a decade ago. I'd never seen it but it was like $10-$15 so I picked it up. Gotta love impulse buys that work out.

40:18 here lisa wu, as she currently is tracking down spawn as what she only knows right now as "the red cloak; or cloak" she suddenly then gets her first up close encounter with spawn. by just the glow of his eyes... although she notices spawn is in the room with her, she maintains her composure, to not blow her cover with having superhuman keen senses to presence, & to survive this first encounter unscathed. just like a real life assassin, she assessed the situation & instantly deduced that if she attacked spawn right now, she'd be immediately obliterated by "the cloak". so she does what any other surprised deadly manipulative psychopathic assassin does, lisa wu steers the conversation poking references to spawn as she knows he's there to get in his head, allowing for natural exit's to be made by all in the room eventually. i liked watching this part so much. such badass details all in mere instants. lisa wu really learned a lotta thing's about spawn good & bad, & even keeping calm she definitely was scared. i respect this show does a good job with the little thing's sometimes. i love spawn comics but this... the animated series, is sucha breathe of classic fresh air to watch, cheef the zaza to, have alll the snacks, just sit back with & enjoy ^_^
The fatal flaw of Spawn's premise is that Malebolgia would chiose an absolutely ammoral maniac to be a Spawn, not merely a flawed warrior. Only way to stop cases like Cog's and Al from happening.

Anyone else was excited for Spawn being in MK but then felt a little ashamed for knowing nothing about the character so you’ve been binging the HBO series? Yeah, me too. Glad I did, this show is amazing.
I watched these a couple of years before MK11 came out. I was surprised how did I miss this guy. I took a liking to him. Always found anti-heroes entertaining.
And then, when people started talking about him being put in the game, I was one of them. He arrived and now I'm back here again. A shame the series were so short. Hopefully in the future, there'll be more of Spawn. But I'm worried. In this day and age. About American entertainment being infected with retardation, feminism and SJW filth. I'll wait and see.

40:18 here lisa wu, as she currently is tracking down spawn as what she only knows right now as "the red cloak; or cloak" she suddenly then gets her first up close encounter with spawn. by just the glow of his eyes... although she notices spawn is in the room with her, she maintains her composure, to not blow her cover with having superhuman keen senses to presence, & to survive this first encounter unscathed. just like a real life assassin, she assessed the situation & instantly deduced that if she attacked spawn right now, she'd be immediately obliterated by "the cloak". so she does what any other surprised deadly manipulative psychopathic assassin does, lisa wu steers the conversation poking references to spawn as she knows he's there to get in his head, allowing for natural exit's to be made by all in the room eventually. i liked watching this part so much. such badass details all in mere instants.
lisa wu really learned a lotta thing's about spawn good & bad, & even keeping calm she definitely was scared. i respect this show does a good job with the little thing's sometimes. i love spawn comics but this... the animated series, is sucha breathe of classic fresh air to watch, cheef the zaza to, have alll the snacks, just sit back with & enjoy ^_^
The fatal flaw of Spawn's premise is that Malebolgia would chiose an absolutely ammoral maniac to be a Spawn, not merely a flawed warrior. Only way to stop cases like Cog's and Al from happening.
