Born and raised in St. Louis, I just went to the Zoo 2 days ago (again). We do have our issues in this city, but also hit some grand slams when it comes to attractions. I was at the zoo for a few hours and noticed not one frown or sideways glass among the highly diverse crowds. Everyone was happy to be there and happy to be with each other.

The Mississippi River flows beside the Gateway Arch. The Missouri River's confluence with the Mississippi River is north of there, by Woodriver, IL. Only a short way further north is the confluence of the Illinois River with the Mississippi River. (That's why the flag of St. Louis has the wavy lines that represent the rivers flowing into the Mississippi, and the fleur de lis, which represents the French influence.) I grew up only 60 miles northeast of there in Illinois. If you're in St. Louis, you've GOT to go to the St. Louis Zoo. It's FREE (the San Diego Zoo costs a lot just to get in - but this zoo is fantastic, and costs NOTHING!) Also, visit the Budweiser Brewery - free! There's Forest Park, and the historic homes of Ulysses Grant, and Jefferson Barracks - all great things to see!

Roger you are totally right regarding the Mississippi river being next to the Gateway Arch. I realized this mistake shortly after making the video. Thank you for pointing it out.
Thank you for your other suggestions! Those sound awesome too

      Hey Maram,
Yes we bought that about a year ago. I should do a follow up video but for now I will just tell you how it is going.
The program was wonderful and for the first 6 months we were extremely consistent following the program. Addie, our two and a half year old daughter has tested to the vocabulary and language skills of a 5 year old.
Admittedly we moved about 6 months ago and haven't picked up the habit since though we hope to. Just need to get on the ball with that.
I think what it really helped addie with was the love of learning and being able to sit down for long periods of time.
She can read 17 children's books in a row without tiring. I think this is do to having done the program since she was so little.
