I have visited Golden temple last month. Though you may find rush but locals and pilgrims are very well behaved. Once inside the temple you will be allowed time to have good darshan. Not like Tirupati and other temples where you are literally pushed and will not be allowed to have proper darshan. In South it's business but here it's pure seva.
