I am so happy that Taylor found like-minded friends. It is very critical going into high school because the bad influences are multiplied. My eldest chose solid friends too and my husband and I were so glad she did. In high school, they encouraged each other to excel, held each other accountable, were often at the top of the class and on the principal's list. In 6th form which is like community college in the US, they did the same thing and even graduated early by encouraging each other. They are now scattered in various universities but they are still connected. I am happy for her and you the parents because it can be nerve-racking. Her surrounding herself with good friends makes the worry much lighter. Keep up the good work parents.
