- I'm back! And back with a new series. Snapshots. Shorter, snappier videos that get straight to the point. All the technique, without all the padding! First up is a trip south. To a cafe. I travelled 300 miles to photograph a cafe. Haven't we all done that at one time or another!
I’m Craig Roberts and e6 vlogs is my channel. These vlogs are a taster of the videos I produce for e6, the subscription service I run from my website. e6 offers videos, eGuides, eBooks, podcasts and more. If you love photography, you’ll love e6! Find out more at www.e6subscription.co.uk
Hooray!!!!!!!!!! Craig returns. We've missed you. No dog, no camper van, no baseball cap worn back-to-front.
Defo no cap. Especially not indoors!
Hear hear!!
Woo Hoo, welcome back. I really like the idea of your short and to the point videos. As you said some videos are just way too long now. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
Best photography channel on RUclips. Your compositional skills never fail to astound me. Keep up the great work.
WELCOME BACK! I have really missed your vlogs and now look forward to more as it appears many more subscribers do too. Hope all goes well with your new series and I much appreciate all the hard work you put in to produce this. In reducing the length of your videos - please don't leave out the humour!!
Thanks. Humour I’m sure, will be included where appropriate!
Great idea; snap shot vignettes that are sharp and to the point. Love the work and how you work.
Great to have you back on RUclips. Looking forward to more in the series.
Thanks John
Great 👍 Idea, Craig !! Short & sweet, to the Point, Top pic’s! Good to see you back on YT 👍✅😎
Welcome back! Great to have a photographer who knows what he's talking about and gets straight to the point ! Looking forward to the series.........
Thanks Alan
"Hi Craig, you have just kickstarted my interest in photography again, I've been in the Dont Know What To Photograph Anymore Syndrome for a couple of years! B/W and landscape was my choice of expression.Nice to see you back, wish you well with the new format." cheers, Kev.
Thankyou Kev
Great concept - short videos packed with good shots. Love it!
E6 Vlogs - 15 minutes old? You are back! Really good idea to get straight to the point with these punchy pieces. Love your characteristic clean images. Some of these pictures looked like they were from Arizona or the Sahara - terrific.
Well, its e not E, but thank you anyway! Yes, the log shot was very American desert wasn’t it?
@@e6Vlogs It's possible the architect was inspired by particular desert scenes. flic.kr/p/2iPQtKu
Blimey.....I thought you'd been nobbled by Jared Polin! Welcome back and an excellent start to a new series. Cheers. Ken
Welcome back, I think we have all missed your brilliant work!
Heureux de vous revoir Craig. J'adore vos vidéos et vos photos. Vous nous avez manqué. Xavier, Vendée, France
'A short video that goes strait to the point.' I Love it ❤ Very nice idea, and very well executed as always. You channnel has been a great sorce of inspiration. Thank you 🙏 Keep up the excellent job 😀
Nice to have you back. So many photography videos go on much too long sometimes. I know it's a big subject. This is absolutely a good idea for newcomers and oldies. Keep it up and stay safe.
I enjoyed that. It has also given me inspiration to go and shoot some shapes in the morning. I sometimes look at something and think there is a shot there, but I can’t work it out. Hopefully these little snapshots will give me ideas. 😊
Welcome back! I've missed your to-the-point vlogs. Great inspiration as always.
Nice to see you back.
Heureux de vous voir de retour. Vous nous manquiez.

STTP (straight to the point) Yes Please, Nice to have you back
Welcome back Craig , I like the the new snapshots - straight to the point 👍
Nice episode, Craig. I haven't seen this series until now. I really like the abstracts you got after ditching the tripod.
Welcome back - you've been missed! Keep them coming.
I missed your YT videos. Finally we meet again :) Good decision with your "short" approach. Thanks for good and inspirative content.
Great to see you back. Looking forward to see more of these 'short' videos
welcome back Craig, I missed your videos, great to see you here again....
Great to see you back on You Tube Craig. You are my favourite vlogger because your stuff is always insightful, to the point, interesting, entertaining and your infectious enthusiasm for photography always comes through. I like the new format too. Please keep going.
Great to have you back Craig, Your video's really inspire me to get out and take photos.
Love the content, love the short stuff, which makes good sense.
Thank you 😊
10,000 thanks! Very glad you’re back.
Great to see you on RUclips again. Look forward to your new series. 🤓😀👍🏻
I like this snapshot format 👍🏻 Keep on doing it! 😀
Finally! Welcome back, Craig! We missed you!
I never thought your earlier videos were too long, Craig. They are just right for watching while eating a leisurely breakfast and planning where to go to get some e6-inspired shots.
Anyway, glad to see you back. And what a great subject. Rusted steel sculpture is 'in' DownUnder too.
PS - When I hear of Littlehampton, I can't help thinking of Spike Milligan sticking it up the BBC with his 'Hugh Jampton' character in the Goons. 😊
Longer videos were fun, but time to try something new. I just old enough to know the Goodies than the Goons!
Long time, no see!!! Good to see a new video on the Tube :D Great subject!!! It certainly makes for some great abstract pics. Can't wait for more :D
Good to see you back, your image of the side on looks great how it catches the light.
I watched your 2nd video before this one such is life. I loved the shapes that you photographed they were most interesting. Thank you for being on here again!
Hooraar! Nice to see you back with your videos. Short or long I'll watch them, Craig. Always enjoyed your content. Look forward to the new series 👍
Great to see new videos. This reminds me of Uluru (Ayers Rock) in Australia at sunrise.
Welcome back, Craig!!
I have to admit I liked the padding in your previous videos... always thought you had the right balance between content and a bit of sillyness to entertainment. Still I'm game for this new format and, as always, I'm loving your photographs... Really like when you go square format since I'm migrating more and more to that format too (a painful thing to do on a 5D classic, honeslty... maybe time to upgrade a bit) and I always get some good inspiration from your shots.
See you soon.
Good to see you back, interesting subject, nice shots and no messing. 👍
Soo many good copisitions from one location , nice! I have been missing your frequent Vlogs.
Super video
Brilliant images.
Glad to see your back making vlogs! Do like the straight to the point informative vids but maybe 10 mins so we get some more images😉
Can’t wait for the next instalment👍👍👍👍

That’s absolute awesome ! I wish I could borrow your ‘view’ and the way you see the world just for one day ! I would hang each of these photo to my living room wall.
Very kind Robert. It’s available to rent on a daily basis! (well, sort of with my workshops or online courses!)
I did miss the videos Craig, nice to see you back and as always interesting work.
Your abstracts are really great. Got a super eye as I learned during our 1 on 1.
Doesnt matter 6 or 20 minutes...im glad you come back
Thanks Craig for the new video! Much appreciated. I know it’s a ton of work to produce quality content!
Welcome back! Great to see you making videos again! Your videos are always fun to watch.
But funnily enough an absolute nightmare to make!
Great subject. A thumbs up for snappy, bite-sized videos.
👍
OMG you are back... YESSSS...
Great to see you back, Craig, RUclips just wasn't the same without your videos. Great shots too, love the structure of that cafe, it looks almost like a sand dune from certain angles.
Thanks for the new series Craig, your talent and humour has been missed. Awesome high quality content as always :)
Saves us a trip to Uluru. Inspiring.
Nice to see you back - enjoyable as always.
With a bit of imagination ..... and the right angle and light ....Uluru / Ayers Rock good to see you back and thanks
Yes, if you squint hard enough, you might be right!
Where the shnapps have you been. Welcome back. We missed you
Well, in some circles I’ve never been away! But thanks 👍
Let me add my ‘Welcome back’ message to the long list you’ve already received. It is truly refreshing to have your content delivered in this updated ‘snapshot’ form. Thanks for teaching how to ‘see’ as much as how to photograph. 👍🏼
Thank you very much
Happy to see you back! Love this short format!
Hi Craig,
Glad to see you’re back . I agree with you regarding those to long video’s with to much gabbling.
Driving 300 miles for just a cafe resulted in a few very beautiful pictures and I like that you approach the cafe from sevarel sides. I espacially like the juxtaposition between the cafe and the apartment block in the background and the ones where you used the lines of parking space as leading lines. Very inspiring 👍
Thanks Martin. I did also visit Brighton on the same trip for some analogue photography so it was 300 miles worth doing!
Great to see you back on RUclips. I don't do Instagram.
In spite of the blue skies, you've nailed it here - as usual 👌
Best advice Eltin, do Instagram! I do a lot on there.
Good to see you back again. Great subject, great video. Thank you.
Great comment
Love this new format, Craig!
SO happy you are back! I have binge-watched your videos in the last few days. Welcome back!
Sean
I’m so sorry you had to do that Sean! 😉
Been missing your videos like so many more people, it seems 😄 And that spot is worth travelling a few miles
So great to have you back, thumbs up
Yes! Welcome back! You are so right, too many long videos. Love your content.
Some are okay. Some need to look up the term editing!
Welcome back! Yeah, short videos are the way to go
Welcome back, you've been missed

So glad you're back and love the short format!
You short comment is brill too! 👍
Hi , As a subscriber to your full service I have of course continued to see your off line videos, tips, podcsts etc. However I am most gratified to see the well deserved, warm reception your return to tube has received...I only hope that it results in a few more subscribers to the excellent advice, help and instruction you give off line too...Looking forward to your next “short” !! Its a great way of putting your points across.Best wishes.
Jeff CliftonD Thanks Jeff (how much do I owe you! 😉)
e6 Vlogs ....just keep up the good work and your sense of humour! (🧀🧀. ...😉)
Phew ! Glad your back ! Missed you !
Good to see you back Craig.
Hi Craig
I’m loving this idea for a series, I am a little put off watching long videos too. Anything over ten minutes and I generally either don’t watch or watch in bits or skip through.
If it’s someone I really like I will watch in full when I have the time.
All of my videos are generally 6 or 7 minutes or shorter, although I did read recently that videos of 10 minutes or longer score better with the algorithm ??
Loved this video, brilliant content as always, thanks for sharing, it’s great seeing you back on RUclips 😊👍
Best wishes
Tim
Cheap Shot Photography Thanks Tim. Well, as you may guess, I’m definitely not doing this for the algorithm!
great to have you back! Craig
Nice to have you back! Amazing shots and very creative. Like the idea of your new series a lot. While other Olympus "Photographers" discuss the future os their brand you're doin what photography is supposed to be ;-)
Keep going please!
Exactly Rainer! I stop shooting and shooting Olympus when they prise the camera from my hands!
Good to see you back Craig, been a while. Really like this set!
Good to see you back. A really enjoyable video.
welcome back great idea - straight talking, straight shooting - no air of superiority a breathe of fresh air.
Mint mate we’ve missed you 👍
Welcome back to RUclips, missed you. Your work is so inspirational.
So happy to see that you are back.
Great idea! 👍🏾
Welcome back ! I'm more than happy to sit through atrocious zombie game ads for this !
Good for you!
at last - you're back, thank you
Welcome! Glad to see you again!
