They work fine for me. They do need to upgrade their older plugins, especially the Arp 2600 and the Modular V.

Actually I’m using a lot of Arturia effects atm. Their vintage stuff is great. And yeah you can always get those from multiple vendors. But here it’s all in one which is pretty cool and they are a nice company.
Right there with you. There's so many quality effects in their bundles. It's nice to update them all in one go. Especially without having to pay for a subscription
And they offer split payments up to 4 installments I usually just buy stuff I might not use just to have because they make it so affordable

Good idea. Not that many companies have samplers with incl. sound packs aside from P.A. Mega Sampler, Arcade and maybe a couple others.

I find Arturia fair for pricing if you have other products. For example, I got FX Collection 4 a while back with eFX motions, - at the time it was crazy discounted heavily because I have instruments from them.. it was discounted from €400 to €130. eFX Refract was free. Now fx collection 5 is just $49 for the clipper and exciter. I actually need a clipper, so, sorted.
But sure, the collection could have had more new stuff in it.
So that’s how it works I always wonder because they be giving me deals on everything maybe because I’ve bought almost everything and I spend money on sound banks I just got the whole Augmented Line for 99 then they allow me to split it into 4 payments as well they goated in my book
I got a 99 buck crosagrade from VC9. Not bad value, for the DIODE-609 alone, but chuck in the 140 plate and some of the other nice pieces and it's wicked value!! Sets them apart in my mind from NI/iZotope/Waves which are a total scam!

Stopped using Arturia plugins when I realized it was basically a hidden expensive subscription plan. Also, most of their VST are poorly optimized and not stable by any stretch of the imagination, losing settings from one session to another, which led to me using less and less their products, and finally uninstall the whole thing when they asked, again, for money to continue getting basic updates & bugs fixes...
Yeah, Arturia's are the only plugins that I lost settings with. And it was such a pain
I got FX Collection 5 (freshly, no upgrade) for 99€. That's fine. But i own a Minifreak and Pigments already, so that might have a huge impact on the discount.
I actually got FX Collection 5 as it was offered at 70% discount and wasn't that bad relative to other plugins -- however there is overlap with some other plugins from NI and UAD /AA etc.. but I am liking the package I didn't have FX4... In fact the FX5 was my "buy" for the month of June, as I try to limit my spending to my disposable income each month which is somewhere around $500 if I don't buy food. As a new purchase of FXs collection this has quite a bit that is basically an event in terms of cost I think the value is in it at the sale price. As you will probably get a handful of hours of use out of the collection. Part of issue is that a bunch of them are similar to what was offered with the volt 176 for plate reverbs, etc... in the analog classics and the few extra goodies that UA through in with that interface but still nice to have the different takes on the devices.. imo still quality plugins and at the sale price imo it was a good deal.

Their FX bundle might not be awesome but they’ve had a great new PolyBrute 12 synth, and a VST of their OG Minibrute. Also they did a nice update of the excellent Minifreak this year iirc.
Weaver this is important. Single is one, a couple is two. A few is three, several is 4, a handful is 5 and half a dozen is six. Arturia added a single new FX plugin.

Arturia should make a good tape plugin similar to U-he Satin, currently they only have Mello-Fi which is fairly basic and geared to lofi music

Basically it was $49 US (from v4) for EFX Motions which is $99. It is $69 if you had v3 (so you were getting everything in 4 and 5.)
I'm not saying it was for everyone, but really seems fine.
This has been clear since VC8/FXC2, which is why I haven't upgraded beyond that and don't plan to upgrade Arturia's software any further. DAW developers are not dipping into these areas, and the plug-ins from them are pretty damn good... so I don't see why I should continue to overpay $100-200 year-over-year to keep this stuff upgraded. Honestly, just get T-RackS 5 MAX v2 for $49.
upgrade price is 50 bucks. it's always a pretty interesting price; that is if you're interested at all in one of the plugins of course.
Do a day long stream of airwindows plugins. I'd watch that.
My Upgrade was €49m but I had already bought 2 of the 4 ...
To be fair ALL the existing plugins look like they have been worked on, going by the increased files sizes.

This is a point that's been made before, but with Napster, at least the users knew the artist weren't getting anything. Thus, they'd be more likely to support artists in other ways, buying merch or tickets.
Today, I think a lot of consumers wrongfully assume that artists are getting paid. Because it's a paid subscription, or ad supported.
Napster was better for smaller artist in a lot of ways.

I'm still meh on Arturia doing the OG Minibrute V instead of using the Minibrute 2 architecture.
FX 5 is $50 for me, but I own 2 of the 4 effects already. Once you get into V or FX collection, getting the upcoming plugins through out the year for like $25 to $50 is basically paying installments on the next version lol
49,- for 3 new plugins and people compain? They just need to stop doing freebies. Their sound quality and ecosystem are top notch. No WUP, everything is VST3 and resizable with free updates (look at pigments). Shaperbox just lets you pay for every shaper. Nothing outdated like Native Instruments that stil milking out that Kontakt plugin. Integration is just slick and the new Collection X is just great. Minifreak, Minibrute, Acid V are good additions.
i really wish arturia did something about their UIs. it's gigabytes worth of hundreds upon hundreds of tiny pictures and some other crap. the whole system is a mess. somehow people used to do fine with a single dll back in the day. and not like those pictures make plugins sound better.

It depends on what you already own by Arturia. Hardware and software. They give a loyalty discount. For me it's 99 as I only have pigments, analogue lab and a few effects. I think it's a bit high because I already own motions fragments and refract though tbh. The other stuff is probably worth it if you like emulations more than me. The mixing stuff might be fantastic, fuck knows . Coldfire is supposed to be sweet but I don't need three more distortions.
With 10k you can live very modestly here in eastern Europe, but it's not nice; with 5k you just can't. :/

It's part infiltrator part shaperbox. Cheaper than either. It's not better or worse, just different. If you watch an in depth walkthrough there are a lot of modulators and extra effects (beyond the shaperbox style modules) available, including a step sequencer for glitchy infiltrator type stuff. The bar is pretty high , with other stuff like effectrix by sugar bytes in the same ballpark. I just think Weaver has a very human habit of dismissing things he hasn't given a chance or even tried. Or maybe just things that aren't infiltrator.
IMO arturia's plugins are so badly optimized that anything similar ends up being better if we consider actual production instead of just plugin features vs plugin features
