Upland-storage berms and other projects related to the June 2024 flood in the Austin, MN, area.

  • Mower SWCD and Cedar River Watershed District construct earthen berms to temporarily hold large amounts of stormwater in the upland areas of Dobbins Creek, a Cedar River tributary. They also work with private landowners to address erosion by building grassed waterways, water-sediment control basins along with other projects and ag practices.
